Hey guys. Quick question.
I installed Whatsapp Plus , but didn't really like the stock interface. Very few themes on the list look very clean and organized. I want the features of Whatsapp plus (Specifically the "Image quality", "Hide status" and "Forever Mute' Options).
Can someone help me with this? I think the best way to do it would be to get an 'Original' Whatsapp theme. Or is there a less modded version of Whatsapp? Let me know. Thanks..
Sorry if this thread has already been done, or if it's in the wrong place. I'm new here.
You might not get whatsapp plus questions answered here cause of obvious reasons. However you can contact the Dev for the question through his website. If I remember correctly. When I was using wa+, you had the option to choose whatever theme you desired. You can manually set each window's color image et al. So if you are not happy with the themes create your own that suits you best

Stock theme!
Allright guys! I took the trouble to make an exact copy of the original Whatsapp theme. Down to the specific colours and values for font size and other stuff.
This for those who want Whatsapp plus but are too used to the stock look! Or really don't like any of the other themes.
I'll post it here but someone please tell me the which the official Whatsapp Plus theme thread is.
I searched for it and found a couple different ones.
Cheers!

I had this request a while back and it seems to have died off. Basically I was wondering if the fantastic developers here can figure out a way to get the wallpaper to show on the pattern, pin, or password lockscreen. Right now it is simply black and I think it doesn't look that good. Not a huge issue but one I'm sure can be solved. Here is what seo said about the issue over at his original thread.
"pattern/sim/password unlock black background instead of yours. please don't ask . I will not f*** up the entire android.policy trying to fix "just a background". live with it"
I know this would be extremely useful to a great deal of rom developers so please take consideration. Also I don't know if this is in the right section so mods please move it if you would like. Screenshot below.
I would like this to but i believe this belongs in the themes thread.

I honestly think this should be in development because there is going to have to be some manipulation of system files. I believe when you are manipulating images it should be within themes. This is not a theme but more of a modification that would be extremely useful to a ton of people. Can some developer please jump on this I would def donate.
This doesn't belong in this FORUM...bla bla bla!
Good idea though...even though I don't use that pattern lockscreen.

Motion to stay in development.........Denied.
How did this thread die out so fast. I was really hoping to get this development rolling.
Hoping there might be one or two of you out there that would be willing to help or teach me how to create themes that can be applied using theme chooser. Also I have a boot animation that I have made from a video clip that needs some tweaking. Currently choppy and sluggish.
If your interested please PM me.
If you check in the main android forum there are several guides on how to make those themes.
I'll keep looking. So far all the ones that I have found require a knowledge of xml which i am still trying to learn.

You can make a theme on the Go Launcher website... It requires you to have ether Google Chrome or Firefox..
the only issues that I have found with this website is that you can't change how the notifcation bar stuff shows up.. like if I wanted to make the battery look different than the stock one... I can't do that on the website.
Go Launcher Theme Factory
http://gotheme.3g.cn/golauncherthemefactory/main/jspController/welcome.html?locale=en_US
I have been using it to kind of organize the images that I want to put in the theme... I will be themeing a Rom when I actually start the process but I have been using it to load in the backgrounds and the icons that I want to use and seeing what looks good. Once I find what I think looks good then I move the files into a folder that I name and I make sure that the name on the theme in theme factory for quick reference so I can see what it looks like.
Theme Factory hint... if You make a theme that is good enough and submit it they will sell it in the Market!..... opps... Play Store.
Uot kitchen is the best I've come across.
Just follow the directions and play with it ,learning as you go is the best way.
Although you can't theme app icons, you can theme everything else including battery to windows and dividers, fonts, animations, status bar,etc.etc.
Hello!
First I'd like to say that I am new to the forums, even though I spent a good amount of time lurking around and reading all of the awesome articles of root customization!
Anyways, I tried to research this on my own before I made a thread to avoid clutter and repeats but I can't seem to find a good answer, so I thought I'd ask!
(If I posted this in the wrong forum, sorry!)
So what I have is an AT&T Note 3 rooted with towelroot (I'm still new at this so I can't say if this is "complete root"...?) running on NOVA Launcher.
I've been trying to customize my lock screen while secure but I can't seem to find a simple app for that.... Now mind you, I've tried WidgetLocker Lockscreen by TeslaCoil Software and I just didn't like any of the options it had... I liked the fact that I could add my "iHeartRadio" and Shazam widget without having to unlock my phone but I didn't like how it also made my phone feel "cluttered" if that makes any sense to anyone. Bottom line is, I didn't like it. (even though I paid the $5 for it... ._." )
So anywhoooo, I was wondering if you guys/gals had any recommendations for me? i've tried googling and came up short... and I've also searched the forums coming up with nothing.... Please let me know!
Sorry again if I may come off as unclear.
Bump
Check out the xposed module SamsungMultipleWidget which will let you put widgets over secured lockscreen.

Thank you! But it seems that that module is currently not working for the Note 3 according to the OP. I'll keep an eye on the thread to see when the module is updated to support the Note 3.

It's working on my Note 3, just try it. Though you need to install Xposed Installer first. In case you miss it, I attach you the apk that I use
Thanks! Hella noob question but with no user interface, how can I customize the widgets I want in my lock screen? I have security to swype and have "multiple widgets" activated. I soft reboot my phone when I installed it.
Thanks for the help!

Q&A for [ROM] BoneStock_v3.0 -- 3.28.605.4 -- 10/24/14
Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer.

Greyy Inversion Bugs/feature request
Hey, first of all I wanna say thanks for an awesome ROM and an awesome theme! I'm coming from CleanROM and this is a great replacement! I've found two bugs with the theme so far and wanted to report them (neither are big deals but since you're a perfectionist I thought you'd like to know). First, the zoom in and out buttons in the xkcd reader are white on white so very hard to read. Also the pop ups in sense 6 toolbox are black on black so also hard to read.
I wanted to request a feature as well...is there any way you can change the text in the messaging app back to white and put bubbles around each text? Also, (this may not be a theme thing) could you move the texts that are sent a little farther to the right so they're more offset from the received texts?
Just a couple little things I wanted to ask, but all around it's an awesome theme, and thank you so much for creating it!!

Much appreciated, Sir.
The zoom bug we should be able to fix, but forgive my ignorance, what is the xkcd reader?
As for the Sense 6 toolbox, this is tricky as it's a 3rd party application. I haven't heard or seen any other 3rd party apps clashing with the theme (yet anyway), but I can't change the theme to work with Sense toolbox, but I may be able to edit the toolbox .apk itself and maybe change it's text to white so that is fixed and take a look at the pop up .pngs as it seems it has it's own and is reading from the app itself instead of from the system framework apps, like most others do. I found pop up clashes like this in the Gallery app that needed to be edited, so it's possible that I can edit the toolbox app, but honestly, I've never used it so this is just going off of assumptions. I would also need to edit the sense toolbox for every need update it came out with after (if I do get it fixed).
As for the request for messaging app, I can certainly do my best in their, I've actually been wanting to play around with the messaging bubbles, so I can put your request into play, I like the white text idea to separate the colors. As for moving the text, I can't say for sure if that is something that we moved, but I don't think we did. It should be the same placement as stock, so that is something I'd have to look a little deeper into. I know that changing the text size most likely wouldn't be so hard to find, but the placement sounds like a .dip some where and if I can find where it's kept, I can certainly move it around (no promises though).
As requested:
Just did a clean flash. Seems there is a issue with the stock launcher and icon placement. I have 4 folders and 2 icons on one screen and the 2 icons go into the dock. Is this normal?
I first dirty flashed and this didn't happen. I know dirty flashing is a no no but it seemed to work better.
I'm presently testing out ROMs and I'm liking bone stock but the icon issue makes it look hokey.
Ok, just rebooted and it's fine. Wtf?

I run Sense toolbox + BoneStock inversion theme on this ROM and have not encountered this phenomenon.

@andybones can I just clean flash FluentROM as is? Or do I need some form of LP firmware?

Try with the stick firmware. If not I think there is one floating around for LP in Santod thread.
Hi Everyone! just received my new Galaxy S7 and as always trying to learn everything about it before i brick it!
So i've been messing with the always on display themes and for the moment all i could find are 5 new themes in the Samsung theme store.
I wanted to know what options do we have to manually change the AOD and to create our own theme..
Also location of files and resolutions would be nice if anyone knows!
Where did you find the always on display themes?

The Theme store has a banner for Always On Display. It seems to be anice actual theme that also themes the AoD.

goto settings then top right Themes then more themes and from yesterday there is a sectioin "Always brighten your style with AOD" themes.. it changes all the phones theme but you can go back to the one you had and keep just the aod theme.
Anyone figure this out yet? I would love to pick my own image.
does anyone know how to add other "alerts" to the AOD screen? ie i would want to know if i had a number of hangouts messages or work emails. It only really tells you about missed call numbers and new sms (i mean who uses SMS these days unless it is to strangers or old people who don't understand hangouts??)

Looks like only Samsung's Phone, Messages, and Calendar notifications are available. For example, I like Google Messenger, but since SMS/MMS notifications don't make it to the AoD, I'm stuck with Samsung's Messages app (which looks nice actually).

I'd be interested in creating a dual clock, calender, & advanced notifications aod; how does one get started making android/ Samsung themes?
I want to keep my current theme and use the AOD from another theme. Has anyone figure this out yet?
i have only 6 AOD themes on the store. It whould be awesome if we can find more. And btw is this a feature that only s7 has ? If there is AOD mod for other phones mabe we can find themes from what they use ?
Functionality extensions would be better than almost useless themes.
i don't find the aod theme , maybe there aren't in france
Interested in creating themes?

You can just search "Samsung theme development" on Google and it should be the first site on the list. http://developer.samsung.com/theme-service
You have to apply, which entails getting Samsungs approval by phone and probably sharing anything they deem worthy of their own app store in terms of revenue. I don't think it's as easy as pie if that's what your hoping but I'd love to be wrong because Aod needs some work and it would be welcomed! I did some reading tho and it can be done if your driven to do so, I looked all this up as I wanted to create my own themes instead of waiting for what I may not find to come along. Looks like they have their own sdk you use and more info can be found at the link I provided. Cheers!
