nm ive figured it out lucky just tried all one click apps anyway kingo root works.

Or is there any way to downgrade from OD3? SSU doesn't run in OD3. I don't know what to do. Thanks.

u will not be able to downgrade from OD3,search the forums to obtain root

I can unlock if i root? I'm talking about Sprint Samsung Unlocker not Super User.

My GS5 is in the same situation..
I cannot downgrade to Kitkat neither unlock the phone..

Hello,
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
To properly root your device,you have to unlock the bootloader first.If you have your bootloader already unlocked,then you can skip step 1.
1.You can refer this post for unlocking the bootloader.
2.Then you can install [RECOVERY] TWRP touch recovery and flash SuperSU from TWRP to root you device.

@tcfamily4eva There's a way to unlock bootloader without PC.Sunshine S-Off.It'll cost you 25$ but it is guaranteed to work.
The program will run a diagnostic test first and will prompt to pay only if it will be successful with the device.

you will have to urgently wait like the rest of us

So there was found a kernel exploit to get root access in kernel 3.8 and above. All android versions might be vulnerable. Maybe it is now easier to get root access?

Interesting, Hope some developer take hands on that. :fingers-crossed:

But there are still some difficulties with security settings in stock kernel. When rooted these settings prevent the phone to boot.

You could try to root it via kingoroot with your PC. This always work for me with any device.

I don't think so. But why don't you want to use a computer?
