So there was found a kernel exploit to get root access in kernel 3.8 and above. All android versions might be vulnerable. Maybe it is now easier to get root access?

Interesting, Hope some developer take hands on that. :fingers-crossed:
But there are still some difficulties with security settings in stock kernel. When rooted these settings prevent the phone to boot.

I have the same version and have been unable to root via motochopper and other root methods since I bought the phone a week ago. Anyone have any advice?

Even without hope someone here can solve my problem continue insisting. I have a Galaxy Core Plus SM-G3502T with android 4.3, kernel version: 3.4.0-2739174 and in no way can do root it. Forget Framaroot, kingo root, vroot, genius, unlock root, iRoot, and other apps, none of them could.

I have the same galaxy core and this method did not work but he changed the binary counter, help :crying:

I can unlock if i root? I'm talking about Sprint Samsung Unlocker not Super User.
My GS5 is in the same situation..
I cannot downgrade to Kitkat neither unlock the phone..

Not possible. Verizon model can not be bootloader unlocked without s-off.
