Does anybody know of an app that allows a voice recording to be added to a calendar? I want to make a recording and have it play on the day. That way I can make a quick note to remind me to do something on that day.
Thanks!!

Hey all,
I'm working on a feature-packed, sexy new Android premium alarm app which is now nearing completion. I've got a very quick question for anyone who's ever looked for a replacement app for the built-in clock/alarm.
I'll give a free copy of the app out to the first 20 posters in this thread.
What single feature or frustration with the built-in alarm clock on your phone made you look for an alternative?
Thanks!
Mark.
Natural wake up..
Meaning that it starts to wake you up a little by little

The ui

"Dismiss" being too easy to hit. When it first goes off, I want to snooze a couple times. I hate having to actually wake up and focus my eyes to make sure I'm hitting snooze instead of dismiss, which would be catastrophic.
If there were an option to make the whole screen snooze-only and have the power button be dismiss...or snooze with the first tap and dismiss with the second (or something like that), I would be SOLD.
UI and the snooze button,
Would love to try your app. I am currently using alarm clock extreme. The only thing I don't like about it is the ui.

Big snooze button, small dismiss button.
Option to change the snooze time.
Nice wake-up sounds.
UI, and lack of options
A ui that allows alteration of the screen saver

I have used various ones, alarms extreme to alarm plus.
But the one feature that is missing is not only using ringtone that gets louder but also use a light from front screen that gets brighter, suppose it is like natural light well that's what I want. B-)

i need math calculations to turn the alarm off
Lack of options

+1 for math calculations! It's a great way to wake up the mind!
And regarding UI, something ICSesque would be nice!

Only with snooze button!! I tend to dismiss in sleep...

The UI and would like the alarm to get louder and louder (natural wakeup?).
The stock one had a dumb thing, if I had my mobile in silence mode sometimes I didnt hear the alarm, im 100% sure I didnt sleep through it haha and I realy like a option to set music from your playlist as alarm ringtone

Maybe this question?
3x^2-2√(3)xy+y^2+2x+2√(3)y=0
It's sure to get your mind woken up and late to work.
+1 for natural wake up, and ability in calendar disable/enable alarms
Ability to wake to music of your choice.
Very nice UI & ofcourse many many options

Sms popup from the market?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda app-developers app
As mentioned above, SMS Popup is a good one and it does wake my screen on ICS. Messaging 7 is pretty good too but it does not wake my screen.
Try using sms popup and MineMessageVibrator together. The first to popup the sms reply box, the second to wake the lock screen when you get a message.
Popup Notifications is a great app you should check out. It can turn on the device's screen just like you want. The app is on sale now and the customer service is great; they helped me out with an issue through email. It's a slick looking app and professional developers behind it.
Note: It may not look like it but I'm not affiliated with Spiderfly Studios. I just really like their app.
I like iPhone notifications .. get it here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nlucas.iphonenotifications&hl=en
or you could try this one for free
SMS Popup https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.everythingandroid.smspopup&feature=related_apps#?t=W10.
You should try this SMS pop up enhancer by zen kun.

Mediaserver Killer
Hi guys,
probably you know, that the "Mediaserver battery draining bug" still exists (Just google it...).
I´ve seen, there are already some ways to kill Mediaserver with scripts, flash, copy to...but no app, that does that.
So here it is, a free app for the comfortable user
What this app does:
# Kill Mediaserver whenever you want/need
1.) When default lockscreen unlocked
2.) Certain time interval/schedule
What you need:
# Root required
Download Mediaserver Killer from Playstore
# You just need to give Mediaserver Killer Superuser access (remember choice forever) and disable Superuser notification toast or statusbar.
That´s all.
# I may implement other options if needed
Amazing work bud, using it right now. Keep up:good:

Just a noob question, I need to add some especial apps(like phone or sms, camera.. app) to "ignore list"? I mean, is there any app that if, you don't add it, may cause any problem with the phone behavior. I don't add any app yet.

Actually, you do not need to add any apps...if you, for example, listen to some music, kill Mediaserver......you will notice the killing.

So, if I'm listening music, when mediaserver is killed doesn't interfere with the music(music doesn't stop or something like that)?

For me is more than 1 second, so I add my music player (PlayerPro) to ignore list & now is fine. No problem adding the mp to ignore list, right?
Right, as long as your music player is in use, you won't kill mediaserver.

Add the phone app (& you can add sms app too) to ignore list. That happens maybe cause the ringtones are scaned by MS & add your music player to the list too.
If one uses an alarm app, it's good to add this to ignore list!

Good idea.
Ok, just uploaded v.1.2 to playstore, which has an AppWidget - "click to kill".(should be up soon..)
I'd love to see an app like the Simply Alarm (for Pebble) that has a timer that repeats. I'm an R.N. working in ICU, and frequently have to recheck things repeatedly in a set amount of time. The built-in timer kinda sucks, as do my coding skills.
