Hello fellow xda-users,
I recently bought the THL T100S. It's a pretty decent cell phone and I am very pleased with it so far. A few days after I received the phone in the mail, I rooted it in order to enable all the rootapps I intend to use.
Unfortunately, after I installed an app called "focal", my camera froze and went FUBAR.
So far, nothing helped. (Force-close, Reboot, etc., still says "cant connect to camera")
Now I thought it might be helpful to reflash the stock image, so I downloaded the THL Stock-Image from February 2nd, 2014. What happens is, that the camera app just disappears 2 seconds after I boot the freshly flashed rom.
Master yuweng, who has a lot of knowledge about MTK-Devices, told me, that I unfortunately flashed a ROM that is used for another batch of T100S' which have another type of camera built in. So in order to get my camera working again, I would need the
LK.bin for my specific T100S.
I suppose my T100S is from the first batch ever, because I ordered it on January 10th I guess, and I think the newer batch was issued on January 13.
Maybe someone who has still an backup copy of the original lk.bin can help me out?
I hope there's someone out there

Hi, have you tried this rom http://www.needrom.com/wp-content/u....FHD_.EN_.16P256.IMX135.MT6592GW.20131211.rar
Hi, thanks for your response, i did try that one, unfortunately it didnt help. The camera hardware from the phone that this rom was stripped from seems to be different from mine.
hi again, try to get the file you need, from one t100 rom, who knows!
lk.bin
That is lk.bin from mine THL t100s stock firmware thl_T100S.A2.JB9.FHD.EN.16P256.IMX135.MT6592GW.20140102

can anyone help to mod. a clean stock rom for Huaweil G700?
I bought this one ex China, it is quite a nice smartphone, well built and good hardware. yet I have some problems: since this model is only in China available, the phone comes with lot of for China-Markt specified apps, which I don't need. and the google app paket is missing completely.
I rooted the phone last night and cancelled the china apps with root explorer, it worked. then i installed the Gapps with recovery, it worked too. then I recovered the phone with Titanium, restart, since then, the phone hanged. it took over 30 mins and the phone didn't boot into system. I had to take out the battery and clear all cache and set it back to fault, otherwise the phone will not start.
my question is: can somebody modify the china-rom to a google stock rom? namley delete the china apps and add the Gapps with multi-language supporting. the phone is relatively new on the markt, bui I think it will find his way to european, for some european user it is quite ultimate: 2GB RAM, 8GM ROM, Quadcore.
there is a link to get the orginal rom for the Huawei G700, regretly I'm nut in this sense to modify the data. I know here are quite a few very capable experts who did excellent jobs in the past. hope some can help to finish this rom for us.

Hi,
i got strange problem about my lenovo A850, i have force closes of all of my apps, i tried formatting lenovo with setting/recovery.. , try uninstalling apps, flash new rom with flashtool, but e.g. i uninstall candy crush saga, and after restart, i have candy crush saga again installed.. this happens about formats as well, i cant format/reinstall it at all..
A850 storage lock?
I have a very similar issue. The A850 I have is from China and came with a customer ROM loaded. When I try to factory reset either in recovery or from Android settings the unit remains unchanged. I have also tried to flash a new ROM with SP Flash with the same result.
Can anyone confirm if there is a way the Lenovo device could have been write protected from supplier?

Same problem Here!
And it started this month... I own this phone since december 2013 and never had any problem.
I was using stock s123 rom (never flashed this phone before).
It started closing all apps and process, so I turned it off and on again. After boot the problem continues.
Tried wiping emmc via recovery and have no success.
Then I try flashing few different roms and the problem persist.
It´s like the phone is "Read Only" !!
As I see I´m not the only one with this problem, and never seen it before. We all started with the problem this month... very strange.
Perhaps it was an update from an app?
The problem started one morning after snooze the alarm. I found the phone was closing all apps and process.
I was using "Alarm Clock Plus". I also have "Clean Master" Installed.
Let´s see if we can find a solution, good luck!
Hahah...yep...
Now that swarm has finally arrived. The swarms of ****ty Lenovo phones...
Don't get it? As rumoured there will be a batch of Lenovo phones from an unauthorized Chinese manufacturer spreading throughout the world including Malaysia (received biggest impact), and I think you are the affected ones. For gods sake that phones are total... failure.
Not really different from what I'm using right now, it's a CN firmware out of the box, but it's good (the kernel sucked, can't flash third-party recovery).
Have you tried root? Root unlocks features and you can troubleshoot better with root access. How? Framaroot. Risks? Well depend on the phone's architecture. If it's stable then it shouldn't be a problem.
How's that phone acting? You can still try many ways to troubleshoot, like using the Lenovo phone PC suite. If it still can react with the PC suite then there's chance. If it reaches to the extent of "The computer can't find your device" or "wrong phone" or worse, "Your device is not supported or invalid", boop(!) dead end, blame the Chinese, you've been fraud.
That's all I can help.
This was sent from my fully-Xposed-modded Lenovo A850 rooted stock ROM via XDA mobile app.

regads,
Hello all,
I would like to ask a question about a problem I encountered with my Elephone P6000. I’ve been reading and searching for similar situations and solutions for 3 straight days now, and my motivation as dropped to a minimum.
This week I got the P6000 from a friend, and it was running on the 8.3 stock-ROM from 26-12-2014. I read about a screen lag problem, and went on trying to fix it. I tried several methods, a app made by lidmiloff, a .bat file by the1024 (and zOrgent? Not sure..) and finally a Russian/Chinese application provided on 4PDA.
This last method had an effect, although it was not the effect I was expecting. When I tried to operate my phone after the application was done, the touchscreen had become unresponsive to my touches. The volume buttons, and power button still work and I can boot the phone as it would normally.
I’ve tried to flash several ROMs (using SP Flash tool) to repair the touchscreen: a stock-rom provided by Elephone, a stock-ROM provided by s7yler (from needrom) and a backup (20141228) rom provided by (the1024). Unfortunately, flashing another ROM does not fix the problem and I’m still stuck with an unresponsive touchscreen.
The plan I wanted to try next was to flash the 8.4 ROM from 31-01-2015 and after that try the .bat file by the1024 again. However, I’m not really sure anymore if it would help and if I can break the phone any more than that it already is. It seems that flashing a new ROM with SP Flash tool does not affect the change that was made by the Chinese application. Does anybody know why this is the case?
It would be great if you guys could give me your two cents on my problem. I’m stuck, and to be honest getting quite insecure about the whole thing.
Kind regards,
Tom
PS: I've asked this question in multiple (relevant) threads. I hope this is not a problem, please let me know if it is!
hi there,
i have a SM-9005( Australian Telstra) which i bought used a couple of weeks/ about a month ago. NOT KNOWING WHAT I WAS DOING i tried to install android 5.0 via odin but, the thing that i did'nt realise was that it was the hong kong firmware after installing it i encountered a problem something like " binary (number) < (number) i figured that it was because when i decided to install it the storage was about 95% full and it only had like 300mb left so i just went into recovery and restored the phone. after successfully installing 5.0 i noticed that the phone was starting to be glitchy as in system would'nt respond (lag) no sound and camera and mic and calling wouldn't work. so i decided it was best to just roll back to the old os 4.4.2 and thats what i did. after doing so i realised that the same problems were still there "no in/outgoing call, no sound, no Google Now, no S-Voice, no camera, slow lock screen and slow settings" after trying to research and not finding anything that would help me ( mainly as my phone is Australian variant) i decided to install a custom rom Cyanogenmod, although this fixed the camera the other problem were still there and after trying to even restore from a nandroid backup via twrp recovery the problem has still not been resolved and well....:crying:

Hey guys, so I'm pretty new to all this, I wanted to root my Galaxy S6 - SM-G920F - to be able to play pokemon from home... yes, that sad. So I started reading XDA like my brother recommended and "learnt" how to root my phone. In the beggining when i was installing SuperSU I had some problems and my phone went into bootloop, but it was because of my cable, I then reflashed it with another cable and it fixed the bootloop issue. I went on to install TWRP and that's when mistakes started happening. First of all, I forgot to back up my phone, including the EFS which, after reading countless posts, I understood is what gives the phone the IMEI code.
I tried installing the standard Xposed on Galaxy S6 (only later on i learnt you must use Wanam on samsungs from S6 and above) and my phone went into bootloop, with out knowing what to do (i tried the uninstall zip but it was failing to install from twrp...), very stupidly, i deleted my System folder... After much more reading, i tried using KIES3 and Smart switch to recover, but they always ask for the stupid recovery code, which I don't have, when i tried the upgrade and initialization option... I tried costum roms and a ****load of stuff. Custom Roms would usually work, my phone would turn on and that's when i noticed my SIM wasn't beeing recognized. (later on i also found out i didn't have IMEI) tried flashing the appropriate MODEM for my galaxy but it all failed. I don't remenber all the stuff I did tbh... I tried the tyrannus ROM and XtreStoLite Universal Deodexed Mod Edition ROM, and tried flashing the MODEM that comes with the last mentioned ROM and yeah, probably just useless attempts that wouldn't fix the problem in the first place. Then i tried flashing Stock, from Sammobile: I bought my phone at the Portuguese vodafone, so G920FXXS3DPF5_G920FVFG3DPC1_TCL (marshmallow) with Odin but it would always fail. Then i read something about splitting the folder in 5 and flashing 1 by 1 and it would work until the Hidden zip, which would always fail. I tried not flashing Hidden and my phone turned on and I went back to stock although, still with out IMEI or baseband. Then after more reading, i found out the best solution would be giving it to a store.
So i just rooted, twrp and did what i wanted to do in the first place. With the correct Wanam Xposed this time (later on i found a way to hack pokemon with out root... sucks :v) and i managed this time.
Yesterday i went to the stored and today the guy told me to go get it, with high hopes i went there, to find out he couldn't fix the problem... He tried Octobox to rewrite the IMEI from the one in the back of phone, but he says it failed. So now I really don't know what to do. The guy went on holidays and told me to go back there when he comes back, we wants to try to downgrade to lollipop and try to fix it from there (he said he has more tools available to work with). It could work, Galaxy S6 just got marshmallow 1/2 months ago officially, and i bought the phone in october of last year, so maybe with the ROM it came with, I really don't know.
At this point I'm just looking for suggestions. I'll be paying attention to the forum and try to reply to all the questions you might have to my best. Thank you all for your time and patience!
:EDIT: so... another major mistake i guess, I found out today, by asking my parents where they got the phone, that the phone wasn't actually purchased in vodafone, the phone was bought in a Samsung store, so it is unblocked. So most likely I've been flashing the wrong stock rom all along. Could you guys guide me in the right direction from here?
What would be the appropriate ROM for the unblocked? vodafone portugal is TCL, optimus is OPT and MEO is MEO. There is another one under the name TPH, would that be the appropriate one?
Solved
Okay... using the correct stock rom fixed all my problems... sorry for wasting your time guys! TPH was the right one
Where did you find your roms?
