Strange problem about formatting - Lenovo A850

Hi,
i got strange problem about my lenovo A850, i have force closes of all of my apps, i tried formatting lenovo with setting/recovery.. , try uninstalling apps, flash new rom with flashtool, but e.g. i uninstall candy crush saga, and after restart, i have candy crush saga again installed.. this happens about formats as well, i cant format/reinstall it at all..

A850 storage lock?
I have a very similar issue. The A850 I have is from China and came with a customer ROM loaded. When I try to factory reset either in recovery or from Android settings the unit remains unchanged. I have also tried to flash a new ROM with SP Flash with the same result.
Can anyone confirm if there is a way the Lenovo device could have been write protected from supplier?

Same problem Here!
And it started this month... I own this phone since december 2013 and never had any problem.
I was using stock s123 rom (never flashed this phone before).
It started closing all apps and process, so I turned it off and on again. After boot the problem continues.
Tried wiping emmc via recovery and have no success.
Then I try flashing few different roms and the problem persist.
It´s like the phone is "Read Only" !!
As I see I´m not the only one with this problem, and never seen it before. We all started with the problem this month... very strange.
Perhaps it was an update from an app?
The problem started one morning after snooze the alarm. I found the phone was closing all apps and process.
I was using "Alarm Clock Plus". I also have "Clean Master" Installed.
Let´s see if we can find a solution, good luck!

Hahah...yep...
Now that swarm has finally arrived. The swarms of ****ty Lenovo phones...
Don't get it? As rumoured there will be a batch of Lenovo phones from an unauthorized Chinese manufacturer spreading throughout the world including Malaysia (received biggest impact), and I think you are the affected ones. For gods sake that phones are total... failure.
Not really different from what I'm using right now, it's a CN firmware out of the box, but it's good (the kernel sucked, can't flash third-party recovery).
Have you tried root? Root unlocks features and you can troubleshoot better with root access. How? Framaroot. Risks? Well depend on the phone's architecture. If it's stable then it shouldn't be a problem.
How's that phone acting? You can still try many ways to troubleshoot, like using the Lenovo phone PC suite. If it still can react with the PC suite then there's chance. If it reaches to the extent of "The computer can't find your device" or "wrong phone" or worse, "Your device is not supported or invalid", boop(!) dead end, blame the Chinese, you've been fraud.
That's all I can help.
This was sent from my fully-Xposed-modded Lenovo A850 rooted stock ROM via XDA mobile app.

[Resolved] [Q] Elephone P6000 unresponsive screen after Chinese fix

Hello all,
I would like to ask a question about a problem I encountered with my Elephone P6000. I’ve been reading and searching for similar situations and solutions for 3 straight days now, and my motivation as dropped to a minimum.
This week I got the P6000 from a friend, and it was running on the 8.3 stock-ROM from 26-12-2014. I read about a screen lag problem, and went on trying to fix it. I tried several methods, a app made by lidmiloff, a .bat file by the1024 (and zOrgent? Not sure..) and finally a Russian/Chinese application provided on 4PDA.
This last method had an effect, although it was not the effect I was expecting. When I tried to operate my phone after the application was done, the touchscreen had become unresponsive to my touches. The volume buttons, and power button still work and I can boot the phone as it would normally.
I’ve tried to flash several ROMs (using SP Flash tool) to repair the touchscreen: a stock-rom provided by Elephone, a stock-ROM provided by s7yler (from needrom) and a backup (20141228) rom provided by (the1024). Unfortunately, flashing another ROM does not fix the problem and I’m still stuck with an unresponsive touchscreen.
The plan I wanted to try next was to flash the 8.4 ROM from 31-01-2015 and after that try the .bat file by the1024 again. However, I’m not really sure anymore if it would help and if I can break the phone any more than that it already is. It seems that flashing a new ROM with SP Flash tool does not affect the change that was made by the Chinese application. Does anybody know why this is the case?
It would be great if you guys could give me your two cents on my problem. I’m stuck, and to be honest getting quite insecure about the whole thing.
Kind regards,
Tom
PS: I've asked this question in multiple (relevant) threads. I hope this is not a problem, please let me know if it is!

[Completed] [Q] need help note 3 (SM-N9005)

hi there,
i have a SM-9005( Australian Telstra) which i bought used a couple of weeks/ about a month ago. NOT KNOWING WHAT I WAS DOING i tried to install android 5.0 via odin but, the thing that i did'nt realise was that it was the hong kong firmware after installing it i encountered a problem something like " binary (number) < (number) i figured that it was because when i decided to install it the storage was about 95% full and it only had like 300mb left so i just went into recovery and restored the phone. after successfully installing 5.0 i noticed that the phone was starting to be glitchy as in system would'nt respond (lag) no sound and camera and mic and calling wouldn't work. so i decided it was best to just roll back to the old os 4.4.2 and thats what i did. after doing so i realised that the same problems were still there "no in/outgoing call, no sound, no Google Now, no S-Voice, no camera, slow lock screen and slow settings" after trying to research and not finding anything that would help me ( mainly as my phone is Australian variant) i decided to install a custom rom Cyanogenmod, although this fixed the camera the other problem were still there and after trying to even restore from a nandroid backup via twrp recovery the problem has still not been resolved and well....:crying:

Lenovo Vibe X3 Lite K51c78 - rom help

Hi, I got a Lenovo Vibe X3 Lite K51c78, chinese version (its also called X3c78, I think).
I need help how to flash a new rom, Lollipop or Marshmallow, does not really matter.
My device does not seem to be running official stock rom from Lenovo.
App manager is missing in system settings and its a lot of bloatware.
I have found a rom from official VIBEUI web page
VIBEUI_V3.5_1617_5.332.1_ST_K51c78_WC4D630384.zip
But it fails when i flash it in recovery mode.
And I can't find any software to flash VIBEUI rom.
It's incompatible with SP Flash tool, cause it has different scatter file and files such as "system.new.dat" etc.
Please help.
Thank you.
Just replying to bump this up - I recently got my Vibe X3 Lite and am finding heaps on this site about the next model up, the X3, but very little about this one. I can't seem to get Google Now launcher working (it says I need to go to the existing launcher's settings and clear preferences, a button which is greyed out...) and my box arrived with the factory seal broken, so I think it's at least prudent to flash SOMEthing before putting in my real details.
This is a heck of a phone for an amazing price, I'm surprised it's not getting more attention!

That filename looks like the same one I downloaded from http://www.vibeui.com/vibeui/rom3?key=K51c78
And if that's the one you have, it's the one which has worked for me. I just renamed it to update.zip and installed it from Recovery mode. What sort of problem did you have? Did you try downloading it again?
From what I can tell the Lenovo launcher lacks an app drawer, but you can add an "All Apps" widget to your home screen. Also, most manufacturers install bloatware (they prefer to think of it as value-added experiences) and you usually can't remove them without gaining root access.
I tried replacing the launcher with Google Now (simply wouldn't work) and with Nova Launcher (worked but very crashy, widgets refused to be placed, some features didn't work) so I'm back on the Lenovo launcher. Will at some point try rooting and getting rid of the extra stuff...

Do you have google services? I update mine from vibeui_v2.9_1608_5.1112.1_st_k51c78 (with preinstall google services) to the same rom you use using lenovo recovery and now my google services is gone..how to update without losing the google services?
Hey guys,
I also had the same problem with having no Google services. I downloaden a gapp app from internet and after a moment I got my Google apps and service Back. Maybe this could Help.
Hello everyone, Luckily or unluckily i bought this device few days ago. I have same problems "Chinese recovery" and "cant find anyway to root" this device. Will someone please help?
Hi I just got myself a 2nd hand Lenovo Vibe X3 Lite (K51C78), was happily flashing away with SPMultiPortFlashTool (SP Flash Tool doesn't work). After few flashing, suddenly when I try to connect the phone for another round of flashing, the phone suddenly cannot stay connected. Meaning in the device manager, I see Mediatek Preloader VCOM USB (Android) appear and disappear (connect and disconnect) many times. It cannot stay connected even though I already press Start in SPMultiPortFlashTool. It downloads FOR A WHILE then because it disconnects around 2-3 seconds after, the flashing failed.
Did I just hard brick my phone? Seems I cannot recover with attempts until now
I need the phone to stay connected. What actually caused this connect and disconnect issue?

Lyf wind-4 always keeps refreshing even after flashing stock rom many times.

My lyf wind-4 is getting as a type of refresh like, all the mobile networks, running applications( open apps) & everything closes and goes blank and then again the android searches for mobile networks . this happens many and any time. Firstly my suspect was internal storage space but that was not, I tried installing system updates then also it was not resolved, I tried flashing the factory version of stock rom and even the latest version of stock rom available on internet for my phone but still the isue isnt getting resolved. I had also tried rooting & showing it to LYF service center but of no help.
I know this society is the only place where I can expect my desired solution about my android device. can you tell me that what is the problem with my device, software of hardware? I would also like to say you that after flashing stock rom it works fine for some days till I dont install any app or update any system or third party app even system updates.
Help me! please, I am fed up trying different solutions as I am not a debuuger or pro s/w developer.

Problems with my Xiaomi Redmi 8A

Hello people of XDA Forum,
Since a couple of years I own a Xiaomi Redmi 8A, which I ordered brand new on AliExpress.
After a couple of failed attempts to install a Custom Rom on the device, I still have an unlocked bootloader
and a "offical" stock firmware on the smartphone installed. Sadly now occurs an other problem,
frequently the screen "freezes" when I want to use the touchscreen. Sometimes when I put the power-button
and pressing it another time the screen responsed to it. But not always, it's getting very frustating when
for example I play "Call of Duty Mobile". My question is that I want to know of the problem is software-
or hardware based? Hopefully you can help me out, thnx
Have you modified anything in your device recently? No? Then it's probably hardware issue.
Do you have any damage to your phone? Then it's even more likely to be hardware issue.

Thanks for the reply. Now I have this problem for a couple of weeks sadly... There is no visible damage on the
device, but I have dropped the smartphone a couple of times out my hand... So I have this problem and I thought
that a firmware upgrade might help me out, but the problem still remains.

If you think the damage to your phone is significant enough for it to affect your screen then maybe you should send it for a checkup.
Although you can try using different ROM to test if it works since it's probably much cheaper to do so than fixing the screen.
But don't flash an OTA update, flash latest stock ROM manually or flash a custom ROM. That way the settings are reset, you can backup your data with TWRP.

Allright, thank you very much for the suggestion. Finally I managed to flash an older Fastboot ROM through
the "MI Flash Tool", which solved my touchscreen problems.
