Seems to work fine untill now!
@xenon92
You have a different device you say. Does the bug at quick settings happens to you too? On both CM, and this, on long press the tiles, USUALLY freezes the phone untill reboot. But some times it does not freeze and works ok.
Unless we uncheck "Settings/Sound/Vibrate on touch" option. then it doesnot freeze. Is this my vib fix - Services? or this happens to your device too?

I own Galaxy Grand i9082.
I didn't really long press on tiles until today. Nobody else has reported anything like this on Grand, in CM11, Carbon, RR, Omni, Probam etc. Well, i'll test it for a few days and see if the phone freezes. But as you are saying that the problem is fixed when "vibrate on touch" option is disabled, then probably it is the patch that is messing something up.

The fix is only sending an intent to an external app. I cannot imagine that sending an intent may cause freeze... Could it? I will try removing the fix to test if it freezes...

Can't say anything for sure. Try looking at the logcat as well as kmsg just as the phone freezes. As you say, it happens randomly, you'll have to "get lucky" to get your phone to freeze!

Actually I have to get lucky to make phone not to freeze. In log cat it doesn't reach the point of patch. So before that... As for kmsg , I will see when I get home.

Great rom @xenon92 , i shall do the video !

I flashed your rom and installed gapps. Everything is nice and very fast, but i came across this problem when trying to take pictures and save it to external sdcard. Camera says "Insert an SD card before using the camera."
Any ideas of what i am doing wrong here. Thank you.

Added to known issues. It will be fixed in the next update.

Just flashed it, really good.
Model : i9105p
Previous rom : cm11 by cooldev.
Theres no bug with camera and sd card.
Bugs : video recorder, battery circle at first boot showing "?" ( putted portrait battery and works fine now)
Sent from my awesome I9105P !

I tested the rom some more and this is what i discovered
+ Fast and smooth
+ Good Ram
+ Nice transition effects and animations (from resurrection tools).
+ RIL (Calls, Mobile Data, SMS)
+ WIFI works
+ GPS works (maps and IGO Primo)
+ Camera Works (Photo only)
- Status Bar - Show battery status percent (it looses settings) meaning that after a while the percentage from the battery icon disappears.
- Vibration does not work.
- Camera (Video recording does not work) Its starts and then after 2 frames, stops (its not saving any file at all).
Ill post updates later on regarding battery life and other issues (if any).
Last but not least BIG thank you to xenon92 for taking time to port to a almost dead device (development wise).

First I want to say thanks for the Rom.
I have a problem with GPS. I can not geht a GPS fix. It shows 2 satellites in GPS status APP,but very weak. I am located in Germany.
Is there something I can do?

First report from my side
Hi folx,
i have installed carbon rom and tried different things. The flashing works as it should - but during setting up the ROM i encountered a few stumbling blocks.
After installing calendar (why is it missing ?) i tried to put cLock Widget with calendar and weather feature , but cLock refused to show my calendar (maybe due to the missing app) and i have to wipe again + synchronise again and after a scond reboot it works as it should.
Running Walkman app i get strange stumbling sounds - after that i deleted dsp-manager and the special sony equalizer and after all that it works.
@ the moment i'm missing a lot of former features : Recent RAMbar; pie; vibrator strength is not working within Device tunalbe;
Performance Control is integrated in a clean manner and the overall fluidity is good, but compared to my experiences with the other KK ROMs (ADC-Team / M.O.W. ROM / Mokee) i would say it's a little slower. I have read a long time about the development in the carbon group on google+ . And there were a lot of problems mentioned during the last time - meanwhile it seems as if they have managed a turnaround and the basis was built . So the next developments from this team will also be very interesting.
A nice evening @ all and many THX @educk

OK, sorry for that, some complications occurred which caused the Camera app to FC.
Please push the attached Camera2.apk to /system/app/ (replacing the old one and giving proper permissions) as a workaround for this issue...
Code:
adb remount && adb push Camera2.apk /system/app/Camera2.apk
adb shell
chmod 644 /system/app/Camera2.apk
Hey, i also got camera FC in my MoKee rom (haven't publish yet, and soon)
If someone doesn't know how to use adb, you can flash this zip in recovery to fix camera FC :highfive:
hey where's the Gapps? Do I have to use DevCon-Gapps?

yes u can use the devcon gapps with this version and also the zordan gapps. but i think zordan gapps have faced some strange issues. i would recommend using the devcon gapps package.
No issue my side with zordan one.

Hello Eric, I have installed your CarbonRom 4.4.2
It' very fine to work with
I installed your new camera and it worked.
But I have one serious issue.
When I take a link in tapatalk , the return doesn't go back to the beginning level, but one level higher. In SlimBean 4.3.1 it works.
Similar I had also errors with return back with chrome, sometimes it return one level higher, sometimes return level was forgotten.
Is that depending from carbon 4.4.2 (or cm11) or tapatalk ?
Is that an error in return-addresses from carbon/cm11 or tapatalk ?

Might be the new libaudio...
Hope to get this fixed soon, or we'd have to be reverting to older libaudio
I've got a report that a clean flash solves the "call audio" problem.
Proof:
Rom as it's beta 1....quite good... many small bugs to go as even mentioned in post #1...
Good progress bro I'm dam sure u will provide us the BEST experience in our Pico... ur omni rom is also doing quite good... keep it up bro :beer: @thewisenerd

This should fix the "user at other end not able to hear your voice properly" bug
If it doesn't work, reboot once?
p.s. This *should* be flashable on all of my kitkat ROMs, but I need testers for them all.

the icons of the launcher3 at the bottom is a little far from the icons on the screen。
What are the bugs in this rom???
Bootanimation specially made for our device, yay!
Many thanks to espen96 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=5250979) for making the new awesome PA bootanim, and resizing it for our device too
Here in attached is the bootanimation for our device, personally tested by me (not flashable, atm): View attachment 480p.zip
you can install it using adb by:
Code:
adb shell su -c 'mount -o rw,remount /system'
adb push 480p.zip /system/media/bootanimation.zip
adb shell chmod 755 /system/media/bootanimation.zip
adb shell reboot (optional, in case you want to view animation :) )
This would be the bootanim by default, in future builds (if PA doesn't make a better bootanim, ofc)

Good stuff there
I have a question about "Patches" in OP.
Are they included to your ROM, or I have to patch it myself. If it's so how to do it ?

Good work there.
Will try this out the next time I need to format my phone.
Just flashed it. It's awesome.
Installed tons of apps and the rom is still running smooth.
Maybe I'm the only one, but I have no idea what is HALO and Multiwindow, Omni Switch etc.
Will be great if you post some info for users like me.
P.S - I just hate bootloader image It's too big for our screen.
[Q] - Any chance of customizing App Drawer rows and colums?

Here you go brother : http://d-h.st/YPD
Here are some minor issues I found:
1. When you remove the search bar from screen and then you want to remove widget or icon the "remove area" is not shown.
2. In the first 1-2 hours when I flashed it when long pressed Tiles from the status bar the phone didn't freeze. Now it's freezing on long press as CM 11.
Otherwise, I confirm that this is great ROM with more functions. Fast and stable!

2. I don't have that problem. Can you logcat when it happens?

If installing for the first time:
- Rooted
- At least 512mb ext4 sd-ext partition (1024mb recommended)
- Hboot with at least 250mb system partition (If not slimmed) -> please use AlphaRev Jelly Hboot (250/5/182) for best experience
- Use a newer recovery such as 4ext (credits madmaxx82 & jmcclue) or twrp (credits Chromium)
- Full wipe recommended
- Flash ROM
- In case you are on Alpha Jelly hboot (250/5/182) flash GApps -- if not then first boot the ROM to enable A2SD to ensure that there is enough free space to flash GApps
- Boot ROM and let it settle down (3-5 min)
- Enable A2SD
Code:
1) run Terminal Emulator
2) type 'su' and press enter
3) allow root access in the popup query
4) type 'a2sd install' and press enter
5) reply to questions in this order
--> y n y (dalvik to card - yes, data to card - no, reboot - yes)
- Finally you can reboot into recovery and flash the Gapps package
Note:
Let the rom settle down after 1st boot (3-5 minutes!)

- Trackball wake option in buttons menu (enabled per default)
- USB Tethering fix (thanks @nickleby)

- If you want to listen radio you can use Spirit FM
Please let me know if you find bugs. If possible take a logcat if you encounter a FC (force close). Here you can learn to logcat like a pro!

Can you please take a logcat while you have the problem? From which country are you?
I am asking because there is a known issue in all CM roms with WiFi in the US. It could be solved by switching the WiFi region code to US or your country respectively before enabling it.
Hope this helps..

I checked.
WiFi (WPA2-PSK) with another smartphone works perfectly.
Check the hotspot uses the same type of security as Desire.
Problem With Me
Hi OP,
I've tried many times , first on stock hboot after that on your recommended hboot, but all the time my phone stuck on HTC white screen.
I've formatted all partitions before flashing. Previously I've hboot installed by revolutionary, but now I've stock hboot of alphaRev (does it make any difference?)
Kindly guide me .

Dirty Unicorns (DU) is a custom ROM originally based off AOKP, but now based from OmniROM. DU brings you a great mix of stability and customization. The idea to start a ROM like this was purely out of boredom, but later turned into a form of an addiction, a good one. We began to have fun while still doing things the right way. By doing so, we received high praise from not only our users but by fellow developers of other ROMs that also enjoy seeing things done the right way. This ROM will always be free of charge without any strings attached or any of it's developers luring you into donating, or any form of "pay to flash".
"Give credit and thanks where it's due!" That's something that has fueled the way we do things! With that said, we would like to go ahead and credit those individuals and groups that have made this ROM possible with their original code and contributions to the Android community.....
| OmniROM | AOKP | ChaOS | Paranoidandroid | SlimROMs | Preludedrew | Team Black Out | Official Testers / Translators |
Believe it or not, we are human and we do forget things. If we have left someone out of the credit/thanks list, just PM us and we'll gladly add on to the list.
