iNew V3 MTK MT6582 - Battery Issue - General Questions and Answers

My iNew V3 Battery is insanely draining. Earlier it was working fine for 3 or 4 days, then suddenly it was not charging up to 100% and discharging rapidly in few minutes. I have tried to charge more than 3 hrs but no use. its going to 1% and switching off and showing more than 30 -70% when ever I keep charging in off mode.

I have checked with re-sellers support, they have suggested that firmware update will resolve battery issue. I have updated firmware from cxq_v3_v1.0.6T02 to cxq_v3_inew_v1.0.4. after updating firmware now mobile is charging to 100% but immediately with in 1 or 2 hours, some times in few minutes its going to below 4% and switching off. some times it will charge to 100% with in 30 min.
I have checked battery with multiple battery calibrate apps and find no issue, all are showing healthy and good status. There is no Physical change in appearance/size in battery (like expanding in size). its good as new one.

Face the same thing here. Rooted mine to freeze some of the bloats but Android System is still at 91% consuming my battery. HElP

From what i understood you need to wipe the phone when updating to firmware 1.0.4 - then this problem should be resolved.
my inew v3 is on the way so i cannot tell from personal experience,
but i read on a different forum that this seems to have fixed the problem.
also, check the other thread here about how to get a THL W8 battery working (2000mAh)

I did not charge my battery for 8 hours

hi all
i got my new w8 last week and i did not charge it for 8 hours ...
when i got it i straight
-root it
-install a new rom
-and bring it out
-all in 40mins or so
is it a factor?
cause now my battery only last 4 hours before going to 0%
while my sister's w8 (same model ) have 60% battery after 5 hours .ck ..
really scared man cause 4hours battery life is unusable
even in stock it's still draining ...
specs -
w8
stock kernel / rom
will buying a new battery help?
Just recalibrate it. Turn it off and charge 'till full, boot into recovery and wipe battery stats, turn the phone back on and use it until it turns off by itself.
Try calibrating the battery... but I must also add that I flashed some ROMs and when I restored the backup of my original ROM, the battery life was absolutely horrible and the phone kept overheating. I flashed MIUI and now it's like a new battery again.
there are some free battery calibration apps in market too. some latest works too.
battery calibration is very god
Very unlikely that you did any permanent damage. But I would be sure to do a few full charge cycles. As in charge to 100% and leave it plugged in for a while, and then allow to drain all the way to shut down.

[Q] Battery problem

Hey guys I am a long time Android enthusiast. I have one of the most popular Samsung devices which is the Samsung Galaxy fit. The problem with my Samsung Galaxy Fit is the battery. Earlier before any tweaking battery used to be normal. After I installed CM7(official build). My battery started draining randomly. At first it was ignorable but then the problem became severe. From 100% it would drop to 88% in just 2 mins use and then from 88% it wud drop to 70% in another 5 mins and the entire phone would be dead in just 3 hours at best. When I would charge the phone again the battery will also be charged randomly going from 5% to 20% and then 20% to 40% all this in just 10 mins. In no less than 20 mins would my phone be 100% charged but that's fake as the battery would drain from 100% to 0% in three hours.
Following are the solutions are tried
Changed the batter, used a brand new original battery(FAIL - DID NOT WORK)
Flashed stock Rom (FAIL - PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS)
Changed Charger (FAIL)
Recharged battery on a different phone and then inserted the battery in fit (FAIL)
If anyone has any solution please let me know. I AM ALSO WILLING TO DONATE IF PROBLEM GETS SOLVED.

Hope this will help you..
1. after flashing custom ROMS, back to recovery or CWM then wipe the battery stats.
2. calibrate the battery while device is on, i ussually use Mugen Power app (install app, choose the standard battery, charge until 100% then click calibrate, after that use the device until the phone is dead then charge until 100% again while device is off).
other Calibration apps ussually have the same steps like the steps i mentioned above, so just use one app..
3. if you still having the battery drain, maybe you should go check the hardware in some technician, coz it could be the hardware that has the problems.

need help for battery issue of Note Edge Korean version N915S

First, sorry for my bad English.
But i am very very need your help now.
I've just buy a Note Edge (Korean version SM-N915S) from ebay.
Everything seems okay except an issue which made me sick for 2 weeks ago:
- My battery works well with over 5 hours of SCREEN-ON-TIME but:
- When my battery ran out to 0%, after phone turned-off, I remove the battery to remove the simcard.
- Then I just plugged-in my battery back, and connect the phone to the charger.
- I charge my phone in OFF-STATE for about 20~30 % of battery (oftenly is 35%), and then disconnect the charger, then I remove the battery again to plug my simcard in to the phone.
- After plugged-in simcard & battery, I connect my phone again to the charger, and what the hell ??? It say my phone got 4x% of battery (oftenly 48%).
- I turn my phone on, tried to turn it on-off, connect and disconnect the charger for a while but nothing changed, it is still 48%.
- I've heard about the "wrong/virtual battery issue on Android" before, so I start to use this phone to track the battery's working status, but no problem, my battery works normally like it have 48% instead of 35% (as I known, if it's a virtual/wrong battery, the battery will drain as fast as 35% instead of 48%, or the phone will turn-off suddenly while the battery still 10~15% remaining).
- The question is: What's the exact problem ? If 13% more of battery is real battery, so the phone have the ability to charge 13% in 1 minute ?? If it's wrong/virtual battery, why doesn't it work wrong ?
Just tested on many ROMs: both stock firmware & custom ROM, both KitKat & Lollipop, I did every thing I can: clear the batterystats.bin, calibrate the battery, factory reset, full wipe, stock charger, QC 2.0 and none-QC 2.0 charger, replace battery...etc... but it still happen at any firmware, any charger, any batterya I installed.
- I'm very sad for 2 weeks recently just for re-test this procedure again and again, because this phone cost me a lot, I very love Note Edge but I dont have too much money so i have to buy a secondhanded phone Biểu tượng cảm xúc frown
And in my country, the Note Edge have the limited-sell method, there're only 1000 phones over the country, so I can't find anyone else who also own it to compare, or find that their phone have this issue or not, to take a sure that it is or it isn't the hardware problem of my phone (if every Note Edge have this issue too).
So please help me, XDA members Biểu tượng cảm xúc frown I need you to do a same procedure to compare with me, thanks in advance.
Perhaps flashing my SkyHigh TW LL kernel will help...... and then install Synapse app.
I have implemented Battery Scaling Calibration in the BATTERY section. Just follow the instructions in thread to flash and within Synapse itself.

Change Mate 9 battery to a new one - 2 months later charging battery inconsistent?

I did a thread earlier whereby I installed a replacement battery in my Mate-9 as the original had started to swell. I did it myself.
Today I notice that the recharging of the battery has become inconsistent, although I have managed for 2 months or more already with replacement battery. Sometimes it charges normally from 3-100% in 90 minutes, other times it won't charge at all. Sometimes it charges faster when turned off, other times it won't charge turned off. A full charge runs as normal for me up to 2 days usage. I cannot determine any pattern as to when it will charge or not charge. It seemed to happen after a recent Huawei system update. I'm using build 9.1.0.252 on model MHA-L29.
** Would a factory reset help at all, or is changing the battery the cause of this does anyone think - or maybe something else I could do?
Thanks.
This seems to have been Huawei system related for me. The poor battery recharging happened after a Huawei system update. Now Huawei has updated my system again to 9.1.0.252 (C636E7R1P8patch04) and the recharging procedure is normal again.

Inserted the new battery into my Htc one A9, but I need to calibrate it correctly. can you help me?

Hi, I have a problem with the battery of my htc one A9, in practice since it lasted a few hours now, I replaced it with a new one. The problem is that the new battery should be calibrated correctly for the phone to correctly recognize the life of the new battery. I tried to calibrate it by following some methods that there are online such as having the phone completely discharged to zero, recharge, after it has charged, leave it still charging for another 2 hours and then unplug ... wait 10 minutes and then plug the cable again and turn the phone back on and then unplug the cable .... there are several variations, I tried them all but I haven't solved it ... on the contrary I noticed that every time I did get to zero the battery lasted less and less .... the first once I downloaded it to zero, it continued for about 2 hours of autonomy with an active movie .... then as I did these tests downloading it to zero (done about 3-4 times) I noticed that after it reached the zero lasted less and less to turn off ... and the duration from 100% to 0 was always the same ... so in practice it was evident that the battery was being damaged by discharging it to zero .. I used the Accubattery app which tells the status of battery health and gave me 59% so very bad .. let's say s what I had with the old battery .. The new battery was produced in September 2015 I tried to buy another new battery with production date of September 2016 (unfortunately it is impossible to find original batteries with a + recent production date), as well as in the first one the battery suddenly goes out at 30-40% ... with accubattery even gives me a percentage of 31% as a state of health ... you understand that it is bad and you have to calibrate it ... but I have not tried the methods I did with the other previous battery since they were useless, indeed they damaged the battery discharging it to zero ... Now I would like to ask you surely some of you will have changed the battery in this smartphone, how did you do to calibrate it correctly so that the android system correctly recognizes that the battery is new and therefore has a different duration? do you think the calibration problem is solved by restoring the system? ... I hope someone can help me because I only spent money buying batteries and equipment to open the phone without solving the problem indeed it is even worse than before ... Doing the system restore is not a trivial thing, so before doing it I would like some reassurance that so I can solve the problem .. if maybe someone has tried. I'm definitely not the only one who replaced the battery in this phone so I hope someone can help me fix it. let me know how you solved it. Thanks a lot to those who want to help me.
