Hello everyone.
This morning I woke up and I found my phone in this state, I took some printscreens so that maybe you could help me to figure out what happened, I'm truly lost...
Stock rom, Xposed with 3 modules installed (GravityBox, minminguard and intelli3g),stock kernel.
Can you help me understand why that happened? Please don't tell me I need to rma!
Thank you,
Td

This is now the third thread I've seen regarding this, including mine. I'm really hoping it's a software problem.
Reboot phone to fix. Toggling airplane mode may fix it also.
Just to assure you it's not GravityBox.
Here's my typical battery life with GB. I don't use any other modules.

May I ask you if the issue arised only after installing xposed framework? My phone was fine until the very same night that I installed it...
I resolved it by going into recovery and wiping cache/dalvik, and using Battery Monitor Widget to recalibrate (not sure if it really does anything). It is rather annoying when it does happen.

I've done extensive testing on this issue. Xposed is not the problem. Nor is GravityBox. I'm not sure about the others, but I don't think they are the cause either.
Thanks to both. I'll try some stuff around, it's just a strange coincidence that it started right after i installed xposed, but if you tested it, i trust your findings!

May I ask you if you used anything that triggers connection changes? Like a night profile turning stuff off, or gb or intelli3g to turn 3g to 2g while under wifi or with the screen off, etc?

I use Tasker to toggle off wifi while I'm at work. Other than that, nothing.

my curiosity is asking.. why dont you charge your phone overnight??? no, it does not hurt the phone.

Hello guys. If you'll have any problem with the phone please make sure to let me know. I will do my best to help. Thank you!
Hmm, well, my D6653 never enters deep sleep when on mobile data. I already did a repair using PC companion, tried other roms, safe mode, no apps etc etc and it still happens.
Is that so? It still prevails after flashing a custom rom? The only conclusion is that it's a hardware problem. But the screen is controlled by software and not hardware. Even I can't imagine why it's happening. I would recommend installing a custom rom or resetting the phone, but since you have already done that, I suggest you to give it to the nearest service center. Or maybe phone is not supposed to enter deep sleep when data is on, that's the only answer if it's not a hardware problem. Hope you find a solution soon! Cheers! :good:

The OP says "No apps" but the OS is perhaps doing something. For example, Play Services gets updated whenever google feels like it. I guess you could try turning off background data. Maybe look at the logcat output and see what was happening when it woke up?
I don't have root so I can't get logcat. I *think* it might be related to fast dormancy (it deep sleeps normally with wifi on) but I can't turn it off without root, and I'm not planning to unlock my bootloader lol. I also don't have warranty since my device was imported.

But that's good since if you have warranty, unlocking the boot loader will void it. So you can do anything with it. Just make sure you go by the steps to be away from errors.

But I don't want to lose all the DRM related stuff :crying: I tried anything I could, even using ADB to change the fast dormancy configuration but nothing worked. Wakelock detector for PC shows my device is awake 20% of the time.
It's not MAJOR, I mean, I can finish the day with 35, 30% of battery left. It just prevents me from having the so called 2 day battery life
My camera has a pink spot on plain white or gray background. Sony cannot help, so it is up to the users to figure this out on their own. How to fix? :good:

Oh that's the same reason why I did not do unlocking and stuff with my phone. Anyways try to contact a service center and get your phone diagnosed. Maybe it can be a hardware fault. Because if it was a software issue, it would have been fixed with a custom rom.

hi i'm currently experiencing bootlooping,
i've tried connecting it to pc, load pc companion but it shows "phone / tablet not connected" - (S1Boot Fastboot failed to install).
any idea how can i fix this ?
I did a complete charge last night before I hit the sack. Battery was around 96%, today morning 80%!
I flashed stock ROM using TWRP, on first charge cycle battery is fine - just 1% overnight drain with 8 hrs SOT. On second charge cycle this issue hits me everytime.
All my radios are usually off (WiFi, NFC, Bluetooth, Data).
My phone seems to be in deep sleep a good portion of that time (See WLD statistics - attachment #1).
Android system sucks my battery during sleep and it was at 90% relative consumption when I woke up (See screen shot #1, Android sys has consumed 1840mAh!! This is ridiculously high for a phone that is apparently in Deep Sleep!)
Also attached screen shots from WLD for Summary, Kernal / Partial wakelocks & Alarms.
Device is rooted.
Going crazy trying to find out what's happening.
This happened with KangVIP and my current B180 ROM's which have great battery life as reported by other users here .
After you flased the ROM did you factory reset?

Just wanna note here that if you live in the US the huawei erecovery does not work. It tries to fetch a download link for 5 minutes before abandoning. Even in stock firmware
Today when I woke up, Android system was @ 92% relative consumption with 15% drain.

This is an unacceptable level of drain. I get similar numbers. This is getting very annoying. I am spending hours just debugging this nonsense.
When did you install / reset your ROM? What is the build you are on? I have read some posts that suggest to let the system be for first few days since it is in a "Learning Phase". Mine is currently in that phase.
Also, I find that many users here are not facing this issue on the ROM's that I am on, but some users are. I have faced this in multiple different ROM's.
Hence, I suspect this is an issue of some setting that we have changed. This is the first thing I do after reset / flash - modify a bunch of settings.
After searching and reading a lot, I have not come across any solid solutions from anywhere.
Here's a solution from the other thread. But I don't have this in system/apps. So this goes down the drain.

Couple others that are worth mentioning,
1. WiFi causing the drain (Am currently debugging this, modifying options).
2. Format SD card on new ROM, or just remove it (Would be great if you could try this out).
3. Factory reset has not solved for most people, but for some. (Did they *not* tweak some setting after reset?)
4. I think much of this drain is experienced after, charging and during sleep after that!

What value do u have for WiFi -> Advanced -> Keep WiFi on During sleep?
I had the battery drain till last night. Before sleeping I charged it completely, and modified this WiFi setting. Overnight I had only 2% drain as compared to +15% over last few days.
Battery looks good for now. I had the feeling that my WiFi is consuming more power than 4G (Need to verify if I am right). Currently observing.
I hope it is not one of those sporadic issues!

I presume u have been facing this issue at least over past few days now, not just a day or two.
Try toggling to Never. Recharge to full before you hit the sack. Lets see if that changes anything. This helped me, but need to observe for multiple consecutive days.

That's one of the first few things I disable. Nor do I use backup.
The battery drain is back. Disappeared for just a couple of days.
Is there anyone who knows how to fix this issue?
I would request you to do a back up of your apps and then factory reset and then again flash the ROM but via dload method.
Everything will be fine.
Then you can restore your apps
Hello fellas, hope you're doing OK. I would like to share with you guys the issue I'm having couple of days ago. The media.codec process is literally killing my battery, draining nearly 25-30% (even more than SOT). I thought was a chrome issue so I uninstalled it and been using Samsung browser since then. Even so, the problem persists. Any idea how to solve it?

In my case, I realized it was due to VIPER app. When you turn off Viper it ceases the drain.

So, I've been having issues with getting reboots. Usually during the night when using the phone to play during sleep. I've had Oneplus reinstall the rom, I've reinstalled it, started from scratch, but every night it still reboots. Youtube is the only thing that I can think of. I'm just trying to see if anyone else has had issues like this. Oneplus is probably going to have me pull logs and see what's going on.

It does pass. However I am not sure how to pull the logs from the 6. I would really appreciate the help, as this is an annoying issue. Feel free to message me if you like.
I have a similar problem as well.
On Stock rom:
Stable with no reboot or freeze. Battery drains very fast though. 50% with screen off overnight.
On Stock room with any custom kernel (Smurf, Franco, ElementalX):
Phone periodically reboots. Not sure where to get reboot logs. When I check logcat, can see many errors pertaining to lights and memory not able to free up. Not sure if it's wifi related or not. When phone is plugged in, it does NOT REBOOT
On any custom roms (AOSPEx, Havoc, LOS etc):
Phone freezes with white LED. Happens usually within 10 minutes with screen off. After troubleshooting, turns out WiFi causes the issue. With WiFi off, phone is stable for as much as 12 hours and more. Battery is excellent. When phone is plugged in, it does NOT FREEZE even with WiFi on.
Not sure why WiFi is causing issue for all the custom ROMs I tested out there.
Currently I'm using stock rom and manually debloated and with Magisk.
If anyone has a clue on the freezing issue with customer rom is much appreciated.
Hey guys
At the beginning of my use of the OP the battery was really impressing, I also managed to reach the 7 Screen. The last week the battery has started to disappoint me, I thought at first that maybe the fault was that I was browsing too much on Facebook but i found out that Facebook is not at all causing the sharp drop in screen hours.
Android System and Android OS are my biggest waste of battery and come out in 3 1/2 hours of screen time. What can be done to improve it?
Man that's bad, i one played almost all day Kingdom Rush and world of tanks and my battery was still over 6h screen time. i don't know how that was possible

Hi!
I know that this will be a little bit clunky but i had the same problem (and lagg issues too) when i update from 9.5.8 to 9.5.9. The only solution was reboot on Recovery Mode (you can activate the advance power option from developer settings) and clear/wipe the caches and dalvik.
I dont know in with version of OS are you but with Oxgen Updater (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.arjanvlek.oxygenupdater&hl=es) update to 9.5.10 and reset caches.
Hope can i help!
