What do you guys use to boost your sound? - Asus Transformer TF700

What apps do you guys use to boost your sound? The built in speakers are ridiculously low and I can never watch anything without using headphones. Is there any specific app out there that boost the sound significantly without distorting too much?

[Q] Music quality issue "NO BASS"

I recently got my SGS I9000 international version with Froyo 2.2 pre-installed. when I plugged in ear-phones which came with it, the music quality was Okay but it was lacking bass so I tried changing settings, equalizer, effects, 5.1 Ch everything but nothing enhanced Bass.
I use Power AMP on my other android phone(LG P500) and when I installed same on SGS and increased bass, sound distortion was very high and output was bad and it couldn't produce bass however with same settings sound is great on my LG P500.
I have tried many headsets ans even external amplifier but no good.
Please Help! How can I fix this!
Where did you find an equalizer?
Dont know if you want to go down this route or know how to do this...go and look in the dev section...flash voodoo kernel 5.1 sound fix will sort your problem out....such a massive difference.

Thanks Rixsta
I am wondering if its a hardware issue or software as I have googled a lot about it and didn't fine anyone else complaining for same issue so is it only with my device?
An it would be difficult for me to go for flashing or porting ROMs etc. as I don't want to loose warranty.
Can you or someone from XDA tell me that what is the exact issue with sound? or can someone please install Power AMP and check the sound increasing Bass?
Thanks in advanced!
Voodoo Sound.
just for reference
I did not make any MOD to my phone, and the stock BASS / SUB / BASE sound is very good, even when i stream over BLUETOOTH to my car
or in my BLUETOOTH stereo headphones
it sounds even richer when using the 3.5 mm plug
Finally I flashed kernel to Voodoo_stable_5.1 (voided warranty).
Installed Voodoo sound from market it has option "bass on headphones" under FM Radio
Under WM8994 it has Headphone amplifier which increased the sound volume only "not bsss"
So still the issue remains same......I m not getting punchy bass as I have in other comparatively mid level phones.....I bought it because GSM Arena mentioned that it has perfect sound quality.
Please tell me is it the issue with my SGS only or every SGS has same kind of sound.
Yes manit, I can confirm which the fm radio on not vodoo kernel have "no bass". My friend have samsung wave 8500(bada o.s.)and the bass are ok on his fm radio. Don't understand why, but is so.

Actually I m not concern about FM radio sound......my problem is when I listen music in music player or "Power AMP " the music lacks Bass
Still I didn't get solution.....

Generally speaking, the earphones that come with phones are terrible and are not meant for music appreciation.. I'm not really surprised that you'd find terrible bass/distortion using them.

Quality seems fine to me... and quite durable!
Definitely better than stock ipod earplugs...
The quality of the bundled headphones could be worse...
With regards to sound quality flash a kernel that supports Voodoo Sound 4 and install the Voodoo app from the market place. From there if you plan on messing with the EQ in programs such as PowerAMP or Mixzing then turn the gain down (a long way down...) before you start mucking around with the bass. After that your music should be distortion free and very rumbley should you choose to make it so.

[Q] Speakers/Headphones Very Quiet

I'm wondering if anyone else is finding the audio output (be it by speaker or headphone), is very quiet? Whenever myself, or any of my friends go to watch a video or something on the Transformer, the first thing we do is try and turn up the volume even though its already at maximum. Even with a decent set of headphones (and I've tried multiple headphones), the audio is as loud as one would think.
I've done some searching through the forums, and tried to use this "Voodoo Sound Control", but it doesn't seem to give me many options. And when I tried the paid version, it said my device wasn't supported.
Anyways, I'm running Prime v1.9 with Netformer 1.6 kernel which i'm told has the Voodoo module in it.
Is there anything else I can try?
Yeah my headphone are pretty low but obly on certain videos same with the speakers. Try different videos and music see if there is a difderence.

Nah, it seems pretty universally quiet no matter what I play. Music from my google music account, local podcasts I download to it, youtube videos, ustream videos, etc.
Whether it be through the speakers or through headphones, its just really quiet. I have tried several different headphones I have, and its all pretty much the same volume. It has to be almost completely quiet in whatever room I'm in so I can hear it.
I was hoping this Voodoo stuff may help, but doesn't appear to be compatible (the thread says it supports TF 3.0 or 3.1 and not 3.2).
I'm out of ideas.
Voodoo works fine on 3.1 and 3.2
Yeah, sound on the TF is mediocre at best and horrible on headphones. I use an app called EQ and it really helps for the built-in speakers but headphones still suck. Not enough amp power to push decent sound.

I use THIS while using my earbuds. Greatly improves the performance of low-sensitivity headphones. Works like a charm and I have to turn the inline volume down to 1/4 on my earbuds. For some reason DVD movies are played back with low volume and this FiiO has done wonders with improving the volume and clarity even.

Voodoo control plus from the market is much better value for money, helps the devs in this forum and has truly amazing sound.
Using an external headphone amp like this is an ugly solution.

Unfortunately, that's not a feasable option for everybody. I own a B70 model TF as well as many others and I'm unable to gain ROOT so the FiiO is a better alternative than Voodoo control. Who's going to pay money for an app they can't even use unless your rooted.

Q: Speaker boost?

Hello, I watch films etc quite alot on the transformer but I find some files they have quite low volumes, is there a way to boost and/or improve quality of speaker volume?
Voodoo is only for headphones, poweramp have an eq setting specifically for speakers making them slightly tinnier but much louder, this however is only for audio.
Thanks for reading, any input to the matter would be great!

I bought a couple of X-Mini II speakers from amazon at 15 each and that's more volume than i need, do that and you wont regret it...
I need a boost for the microphone, it's really crappy... when i use a htc headset it works great but if i use the builtin people hear me low.. skype or whatever...
The free app called equalizer will boost volume. Just crank everything to Max. will increase by 200 or 300%.
I had seen on this forum about this. It may be the exact thing goodintentions is talking about
Volume+ is one I have used. Can boost on all outputs I use.
Is there a maximum safe voltage that can be applied to the speakers? Don't wanna blow them out..

[Q] Is There Any Way to Make Headset Volume Louder?

Hello everyone!
I got the S III a few days ago and so far I'm pleased with it. I rooted it yesterday and got rid of the Verizon crapware and it's even better! I do have one issue though. I often listen to music in my car, and for that I usually use my phone. I'm having an issue with it being to quiet though. All of my other phones and tablets have been loud enough, but the S III is just barely audible when I'm on the highway even on full blast. Is there a configuration file or something I can edit? I'm also wondering if it has something to do with the "Loud music may harm your hearing if you listen to it for a long time" prompt.
Thanks for any help!

You could use Volume+ in the Play Store. Many GNex users used that for their lower than normal speaker.

I just tried it. It did nothing to the volume level. Neither quieter or louder.
I take it there's no way to do it?

That prompt appears to be only a benign warning - happens when you have a plug in the headphone jack and then raise the volume beyond a certain point.
This phone's playback volume is good for me using the headphone jack in the car, for what it's worth.

I've been searching to solve this issue as well. Try awesome beats http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1819353 (note: I just made a nandroid backup and flashed the zip and it works) in the awesomebeats app I set bluetooth tab(assuming bluetooth headset) I set beats boost enable and moderate, enable equalizer: preset: vocal boost, loudness compensation: weak or strong. It seems to make an improvement unless I'm just experiencing a placebo effect.
Just search volume+(volume boost), on play store a simple app to boost volume

Ok, so I really thought this would work, but once it hits a little over half way volume level (or the point where it starts saying loud music may harm your hearing), and I try to turn it up, it doesn't get any louder. Seems like it just increased the gain. Thanks though.
I'll try awesome beats next, I just don't need the bass so loud, I already have a subwoofer in my car. ^^
Volume+ is what you need I use this myself and it definately works, make sure to go into each of the settings speaker, headphone, bluetooth and check off audio modifications and use custom eq settings then slide your eq settings up. play around with the settings to get best balance. Bottom slider is volume boost.
I use my GS3 in my car and I don't have a problem. I run it through a horrible fm transmitter and it is still loud enough. When I plug it in at first it cuts my volume in half due to the headphone safety setting which I can't find to turn off. It was an option on my Droid Razr. I'm running the synergy rom on my phone. You can try messing with the equalizer settings depending on what you play your music through that should help. but it sounds like a problem with your radio or your aux cable you are using. Try it in someone else's car or a different cable.

Thank you for sharing, it is indeed an improvement.
I'm just trying to find out whats draining my battery now though. Seems the "Phone" application has began to drain battery life, but it may just be a coincidence.

It's my setup. I'm using computer speakers and an inverter with a subwoofer to listen to music. It's all good now though. I found a great solution.

Speaker volume

yup, its pretty low volume, not stereo sound like the nexus 7 FHD with fauxsound app, hopefully i can get fauxsound on this nexus 5
only app that seems to work for me is DFX pro player, it makes the mp3s pretty loud, using it with franco kernel r12 with headset boost option
youtube/movie files volume is very low still
i don't use my headphones, only speakers so i really need LOUD speakers

mine is load as anything.... look up adam outlers tread.. there seems to be glue blocking the sound on some models... he drills into the speaker chamber to let sound from the back of the speaker eminate from inside the phone...

I know I am resurrecting an old thread but I don't recall the speaker being this bad when I was on kit kat or lollipop is that possible? Running Marshmallow currently and the speaker is piss poor. I can barely hear callers. I don't care about listening to videos or movies I have a bluetooth speaker for that it for phone calls it's horrendously low. I installed the "volume boost for nexus 5" from the play store, rebooted to recovery to flash the zip and it made ZERO difference for phone calls however other sounds are louder. Would going back to an older room matter?

me too. i just picked up a nexus 5 and updated to miui8, tried nougat and stock MM, all have very low call volume. nougat being the worst, even now. im talking to people i swear they get quieter and quieter until almost un able to hear them then it just bursts loud again (when on calls). when playing music/youtube/mp3s/pandora its terribly quiet.
i have a note 2 LTE also as the OP posted and on my Note2, (even with out boeffla sound enabled) its way louder.. sure note 2 with boeffla (eargasm eq enabled) its bloody loud.
