I have tried to install cmw w/ odin on my GT-I9105p with this cmw file
mediafire.com/download/e4m7syuvnu7ymwv/CWMtouch-i9105_chotu.tar.md5.zip (sry for that i cant post links yet...)
After flashing and restarting, odin showed a green PASS after that i closed odin and powered off my device then i used the combination to get into the cmw recovery menu (Volume+, Power and Home).
Then a picture showed up: (im german so my phone is obviously set to german language) Kein Befehl wich means no command in english.
after that i was in the normal android revovery menu. So i want to know how i can get it to work. i tried to restart the devide multiple times.
-SkyboyLP
maybe you have downloaded a corrupted file try downloading and installing again... and make sure u open the file using bootloader button in odin
Please tell me partition was UN-CHECKED when you flashed it to your device?

Didnt work.
Yes it was unchecked and every gude tells to click pda instad of bootloader.
I tried to secelt bootloader. it flashed and didnt work.
I dont have my bootloader unlocked. (i dont know if that is a problem)
Yeah, I'm pretty sure when your trying to root using Odin or supposed to select the file under pda. Try flashing it under pda instead of bootloader.

Find out CF root for your phone from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1331253 and root it per instructions on same thread.
Then go ahead and decide on what next ROM you want to install. GO to dev thread for that particular ROM and install by following ALL instructions on that thread. Search Q&A thread in general section for that particular ROM for any questions that you might have. Post question in that thread if you cannot find answers to your questions.

Unable to Root after upgrade to I9003JPKPM
Kies updated my firmware recently to I9003JPKPM and I lost my root access. Previously I was using amit bagaria's universal cf-root.
After the firmware was installed, i again tried to root the universal cf-root. Root was working. But I lost WIFI access. Wifi does not start anymore.
To fix this, I tried unrooting the phone from the menu after pressing Vol Up + Home + Power. It told phone was unrooted. But wifi was not working. I again went back to CWM menu to Root it back.
No matter what I do, now I am unable to get Root back. The menu shows I'm rooted.
But when I go and start a priviledged application, I get an error:
Sample error
Code:
CWM Manager needs SuperUser access to function! If you have SU installed, make sure CWM Manager is not blocked, then reboot and try again.
I tried flashing universal cf-root again but unable to get root access!

OK. I did a repartition using latona.pit file, then installed XXKPE, then installed XXLE4 on top of it. I used it for a day and also installed many apps. Now is it OK if i flash bam kernel on top of it? I had read somewhere that bam kernel should only be installed on a fresh stock ROM on its first reboot after flashing. Is it true? or do I have to repeat all the steps XXKPE -> XXLE4 -> bam kernel

I do not want to make you panic but seeing that screenshot makes me think about me sending the phone to service like 2 month ago because my phone was bricked - same symptom - stuck in factoryfs.img flashing .... there are tons of threads in Q&A section how to handle this, look there pls. But like I said do not panic, it does mean anything .....
stuck at factoryfs is tottaly different thing, and wat i see here OP facing issue is just connection error.
Do this
-uninstall kies
-Reboot PC
-Install just driver from my signature
-you can use any odin 1.85/87/3.* watever you want, i do always use 1.85, but really it doesn't make difference
-change USB, preferably direct to motherboard(back side PC), dont use any extension cable for USB connection
-Close any antivirus running
-And make sure you are in download mode before proceeding
Aww, been expected that when i fail flashing for 1st time. Thanks for the help, will update as soon as i found a solution.

I guess he will not be able to use mobile odin since he will not be able to boot into system.
Are you able to enter recovery/cwm? If not, I would be really thinking of brick. Reading the signs (like KIES uninstalled, tried a lot of time, stucking in factoryfs.img flash state) it appears EXACTLY the same like for me 2 months ago. There were other thoughts (unfortunately did not work for me cause I superbricked the phone and Samsung repaired it for free) like:
1) reinstall KIES or drivers for SGN
2) try different cable
3) try different PC if possible
4) use PIT file
5) even repartitioning was suggested (careful - read posts in Q&A)
6) custom kernel
This is just what I remember - PLS try to find proper threads/posts in Q&A section for details and exact step
P.S. Do not give it up. Try all possible.
Even the phone was bricked I was able to remove yellow triangle using the JIG so it was put in original/official kernel state .....
Ty all anyway I give up trying, send to a local shop for repair before approach Samsung centre ^^

Hi,
few says ago updated to official 4.1.1. after that I wanted to install custom recovery from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1831173
but tried first stock one. Tried also to install the CWMR and still when I use rom manager to go to recovery, I see "android system recovery 3e"
now, after holding volume - and power, and proceed to download mode I see this:
Odin mode
Product name: GT-N8000
Custom binary download: yes (1 count)
current binary: samsung official
sustem status: custom
what happened ? after updating to official 4.1.1, I just used exynos abuse to get root.
How do I reset this counter (I down't want to loose and install CWMR on my N8000 (3G+Wifi) ?
Lmao.......... that's what happens if you root your device.........
Don't worry.......... look for the "TriangleAway.apk" file just on these GN 10.1 forums......... you can patch your Note and finally get it to reset the counter.
Enjoy!
So how do I get cwmr touch to work? Can you explain more details how exactly to reset, flash recovery please?

I'm guessing that you didn't read all of that thread, specifically the part about deselecting auto-reboot when you flash it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1831173&page=11
Right at the top of the page.
If you let it auto-reboot, a script runs that replace the stock recovery.

Hi all,
I bought an Core duos (I8262) four days ago....
1- When trying to update it, it gave that the mobile is modified and can't be updated!!! I used Odin to flash it with this firmware:
I8262XXAMG5_I8262OJVAMF2_I8262JVAMG2_HOME.tar.md5
IT STUCKED AT REBOOTING BUT then it booted with the following info:
Basedband version: I8262BVJAMC1
Build number: JZO54K.I8262XXAMG5
and the problem of updating still the same: "Your device has been modified. Software updates are not available".... How to get it back to an original firmware??
2- The battery percent drops dramatically after 35%... when it arrives to about 35%, in less than 10 minutes the percent decrease to 6% and the device shuts down though apparently no applications are working... is it firmware problem or battery problem??
Thanks
Abdo

Thanks androiderrr... As I mentioned in my post above, I tried to flash with "I8262XXAMG5_I8262OJVAMF2_I8262JVAMG2_HOME.tar.md5" taken from this link

which is for Saudi Arabia... but the phone stuck at rebooting giving error "firmware upgrade encountered an issue please select recovery mode in kies & try again" and I couldn't go to recovery mode but can go to download mode!!! Trying to flash again but it failed!!!... Then, I tried the downgrade method using also "I8262XXAMG5_I8262OJVAMF2_I8262JVAMG2_HOME.tar.md5" following the steps on this site:
androidxda.com/downgrade-samsung-galaxy-core-duos-i8262
The mobile booted again but I can't update it and still having the same error ""Your device has been modified. Software updates are not available"

Thanks again androiderrr...
Because I need Arabic, I tried to update to "I8262XXAMI2_I8262OJVAML1_MWD" but as happened before: with odin 3.07 it gave Pass but can't reboot and stuck at "firmware upgrade encountered an issue please select recovery mode in kies & try again" then when retrying with Odin 3.09 it gave Fail but it rebooted with new firmware!!!!
For the problem of battery, it was resolved by replacing the battery...
Which one of the newest firmwares " XXAML3" has Arabic language??
Another important thing, in download mode I noticed that the model of the device is GT-I8262B.... and in the "About device" : Model number: GT-I8262, Baseband version: I8262BVJAMC1, Build number: JZO52K.I8262XXAMI2...
Is there any special firmware for I8262B though I8262 firmwares seem to work with??
same problem with me
