Get a good 2 Amp AC charger and leave on on charge for a good while.
After able to boot, you 'might' require a battery scaling calibration. I have posted a guide in General section for that (link in signature).
Best of luck

If you're referring to your problem posted here, I guess the
Don't let the battery discharge completely : potential to damage the battery and/or the battery fall "asleep" (internal safety circuit opens) with the charger then unable to service the battery.

.
A good 2 Amp AC charger can often "kick-start" the dead battery, but not always.
As far as the cause, I can only guess; app or process causing wake-lock > battery drain, or perhaps a battery scaling issue as I described in my thread : [TWEAK] SGT 7.7 Battery Calibration [Fuel Gauge Reset]
My tab would discharge to approx 30-35% then drop to around 10-11% almost instantaneously, sometimes shutting off if I wasn't paying close attention !

thanx alot bro,
I dont know how to say thanx,
I went into setting/battery and I saw the batter Guage up there, I saw untill when I was awake it went up and down, and after that when I slept , with a straight line it goes down, green, yellow and red...
but I cant understand I did that before untill my tab turned off but its turned on with 17% of battery, even a few times I did it and tab comes up,, but this time I didnt by the mean, it did it by it self
what happend to it , it didnt turn on,
what was that about? how app could do that? how did that happend?
Glad it's sorted

I'm not 100% sure of all your details, but sounds like the battery has an issue and starting to die.........
I would :
1. Flash all to completely stock firmware and kernel (to rule anything out)
2. Turn device off and leave off
3. Leave on AC charge overnight
4. Once fully charged, use as stock for a while. Battery will re-calibrate itself after a few charge cycles (if it's ok)

how charge correctly

Hi,
Many quesitons about how to well recharge and so preserv the battery life of the XDA.
- Is it a good way to let the XDA on its craddle with the power source even if the XDA is full power (green led) ?
- Would it be a better idea to let the XDA recharge and once it is done, disconnect the power source ?
- May I wait my XDA is 40% power leaving before recharge it or can I recharge it even if the XDA is not very decharged .
Thx
Zendrui
The XDA uses Li-ion battery cells. You can safely leave it one the charger, and you can recharge at any time during the discharge without affecting battery life or much charge the battery will take. Charging and use below 5-10 degrees celsius or so should seriously affect performance, but only while at these temperatures.
We're using a large number of XDAs and have been since their first introduction. I must say the battries haven't let us down, which is more than I can say for my Sony notebook batteries.
Thank you very much for your explanations.
It is good to know that I can put my Qtek on its craddle with the power anytime even if my Qtek is fully recharged. Or recherged it when I can without waiting the betery is lower
Thx again.

[Q] Battery level has gone crazy

Hey all,
recently I have encountered a rather big and annoying problem on my phone. It has to do with my battery. I've looked it up on xda, but nothing was really exactly like my problem.
The problem is that my battery level has gone absolutely crazy.
First, charging my phone takes many many hours. After around 5 hours it still wasn't fully charged.
Then when rebooting the phone, it magically said 100%. However, after this the phone drained extremely fast. Think around 20 percent per hour, while using it normally!
Secondly, around 40 percent the phone automatically turned off, without the usual HTC logo. When I turn it on again the battery level is suddenly 2 %. After a few times turning off and on the battery level goes up to 30 percent. This can be seen very well on the pictures.
The phone is 1,5 years old and I haven't installed a custom ROM.
Am I dealing with a broken battery or is the problem in the software?
Hi,
I'm not an expert, but I think your battery is exhausted.
But before you run buying another battery...
What charger are you using? Stock HTC or custom? If custom, what are the Voltage/Current output values?
probably your battery is dying as the above user said
or the battery it doesn't connect properly
check it

While reading on some forums about a better battery for the Sensation I haven't encountered Mugen, only Anker, which has some good reviews.

Battery level falling even while charging

Hi guys,
In my phone my battery level keeps falling even when it I plugged to the charger...it goes up to a certain percentage and then starts falling off the cliff while still on charger...attaching a picture of the charge cycle...
I am on Albino JB 4.2.2 build 13th April. Have already tried three different batteries but same result...switched ROM and still the same...greenified most apps such as FB and maps...Even tried different chargers !!! This is really harassing me... Can someone guide me pls what to do next ???
Thanks

I've had the same problem once, do you use your original wall charger?
If not, buy an orginal no fake.
That's what helped with me
try a different battery.

Thanks for your suggestion.
I have already tried different batteries but maybe its the original wall charger thing. Will give it a shot.

Until that point it seems to be charging just fine. Will it charge the battery fully when the phone is off? Try completely discharging your battery then fully charging it while keeping your phone off.

Hi guys.
The problem continues !!!
Below are the things i have tried...
1.) Charging with original wall charger during phone on...Battery still declining during charging
2.) Completely wiped my phone and did not put any app still the same result
3.) Got a new Anker battery and still the same result (this is my fourth battery !!!)
4.) Tried different chargers and still the same result
5.) Switched off the phone and charged overnight and it took approx 8 Hrs to charge full but then the battery depleted quite quickly !!!
There is something wrong with the battery indicator it seems...Once the battery hits 0% while charging it rockets backs to 100% and then again starts to deplete.
Any more suggestions anyone ???
Maybe the charging electronic is just broken, if there is you have really tested new charger and new battery. Maybe controll your batterypins, maybe those are somehow broken (especially ground pin?)

I hope you also tried in different wall sockets lol
Otherwise I think the mechanism responsible is busted :S
Hi. I had the same problem. I solved it by getting a new cable for the charger. I.e. the charger was working well, but the cable was failing to deliver enough power. Hope this will work for you too.

Extremely hot (60C?) phone when charging last night, need help!

Hi XDA
I was leaving my phone charging last night as usual, but when I wake up this morning, my phone is extremely hot, maybe at least 60 degree celsius(140F) for I literaly can't touch it, it burns. The phone is powered off and when I turned it back on (thank God it did turn on) after cooling down, it's only like half charged. And the battery itself appears to be normal as usual. This never happened before and my battery temp never goes above 40 degree.
The first thing I can think of it's a failing battery, but can any other things cause it too? What should I do? Will it be safe to charge it again?
BTW, I'm using the Sumsang Galaxy R I9103 and the stock battery, with CM 10.1 nightly builds.
Bump? I tried to carefully charge it a few times and it seems just fine, any ideas? I've already ordered a backup battery online just in case
you shouldn't put your phone to charge for the whole night... an average phone gets charged in almost 4 to 5 hours... hence you may risk damaging your battery.... other thing could be that your battery is already gone worse as you suggested.... it is good that you ordered a new battery. just don't keep it on charging the whole night...
PLEASE HIT THANKS IF THIS HELPED
I leave my phone plugged in overnight to charge as well and I've never had such a problem. Seeing as your phone was turned off during the charging, my best guess is that your battery is failing or your charger is failing. If you have an extra charger, you could try that, if now I would just hop online and buy a new set.
Good luck!

Hi,
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
This may be a battery problem, or a problem with your charger. Try changing your power brick/charger cable and try with the official charger. If that doesnt work, it may be your battery nearing end of it's life. You could consider a replacement battery. For more answers and discussion, head on over to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2522599
Best of Luck!
I changed the charger and the cable
And the device is new and I don't used it because of this problem
Can it be a software problem ?

Could be a software or hardware issue. But since the device is new, the sensible thing would be to take it to the service centre and either get them to fix it or get a free replacement.
