[Q] Display Pixel Noise - HTC Sensation

I got this display issue before I disassembled my Senation XE. It had a broken touchscreen, but the display worked. But while I was waiting for a new touchscreen the error occurred. It still boots and the automatic screen brightness is still working but I even don't see the green HTC logo but only this screen
Before I used the RUU (to see, if the root was not the issue) it was unlocked with S-Off.
Is it a failure of the display or of the logic board?

Hello mr B, see those videos:
1) you can fix the display with static staff in engineering(soldering iron etc).
But don't do that after knowing all the real problem, mabye is some of those connectors in the modules. Mabye some of universal serial or paralel lines. For example is gived in this video:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------
I mean in hardware/backend motherboard/ all the modules must be checked out.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2) you can fix this problem with dynamic/software/ all those kind of frontal developing:
There's a pixel bug/bud/noise. You can fix this with a software installed right in the pc crossplatforming by an usb cable between the smartphone: The soft for example is named "fix pixel noise" ("Расмагнетизирование") or to ind the real video source of the component compound of the VGA module. Is checking where is the real point or pixel broked inside captured of the screen. This pixel is making thenoise as result the burning process of the screen, inside this pixel it's working like a LED diode tape for christmas(the resistence of the pixel is stuck) so the image cannot work fine. Affter 2 or 3 second the Amoled Screen is black, there is no voltage or amperaje. Anyway when you buy something first verify. In case if you fix with the software "Fix pixel noise" or broked resitence the screen may be adjusted but with some of errors: a) the sensors or the buttons won't work as ussaly, I mean you block the bad pixel, and unblocking the others pixel. This circuit of the screen will work fine, but U will use this screen only for videos. The rest of the package installed for example office, photoshooting, gaming, calculating, social website, editing videos will not work good. Will appear a lot of errors. The screen is not plug/playlable. Link in the description bellow:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the conclusion:
------------------
You will use the screen after Fixing pixel noise just for watching video, the touchscreen won't work.

Cingular 2125. Camera problem - gone black.

Hello,
I had some problems with the camera button on my cingular 2125 but I managed to fix it just by cleaning it with wd40. Unfortunately a couple of days after the issue with the button was fixed I notice that I was not getting any image from the camera sensor - just black screen.
The same time I was playing with the rom updates and now I am not sure if that might be a hardware or software issue. Currently I am on WM6 perfect english v6 and it works perfect except the fact that I am not getting any image form the camera sensor.
When I turn the camera app on it shows the loading icon for a split of a second as usual but then no image but a black screen. I can actually see the camera image area boundary because if has a different shade of black that the background black but thats it. When I turn the COOL EFFECT picture actually goes blue. Playing with brightness and other settings does not help.
Anyone can tell if it is most likely a fried sensor issue or some driver malfunction.
I think its a driver issue.
I've had the same issue with my phone. If I click on the menu and choose the Reset Brightness option the camera goes back to normal, but anytime I try adjust the brighness settings it goes to black and I have to reset the brightness again. Not sure what the problem is.
I tried with every possible setting in the camera app menu but nothing works. Also when making a video it records the sound but not the image.
I guess since there is not that many people with a similar problem I assume a fried camera sensor or some other hardware issue. I am trying to get a new camera on ebay but no luck yet.
Does anyone know if the camera for 2125/spv c600 can be taken from some other model.
The one from the magician looks very similar except the shorter data tape:

[FIX] Burn INs/Dead Pixels/Other Display Glitches FIX

Hello everyone,
I saw multiple threads already opened for the burn in issue (which I also have from time to time) and I wanted to share my solution with you. It is a simple video, which is changing the three main colors (RGB) very fast. Played for 5-10 minutes on a loop will erease any glitches on your screen (softkeys burned into the screen which is the most commen problem).
Here is the link in youtube:

Here is the mp4 file to upload directly on your device:

To the Moderators: I searched over the forum for a solution and did not find it, I hope I am not overlaping with another old thread, just wanted to help.
Regards.
Hi
I don't mean to thread-crap
but....
after having discussed this issue with HTC themselves they have said its a hardware based issue
whilst its true running a slide show/video full screen displaying solid blocks of colour are likely to erase screen burn-in, the issue will still persist, the underlying cause is a faulty screen panel which must be replaced
Could you upload it somewhere? I could use it, i have a stuck pixel. It's blue on a black background, it should fix it.
I once fixed a big bright spot on a LCD TV with one of these RGB movies.
Hi duke_stix, I agree with you that it could be a faulty display panel, but however I didn't find anyone had it replaced due to that issue. And I know it is a temporary solution, but at least there is a solution

Help, screen seems to be in 16 color mode

This morning my Touch Pro seems to be in 16 color mode, pink tint to the entire screen like an old EGA monitor. Nothing out of the ordinary, was fine when I put it on the charger last night, was in this state this am.
Any ideas? I am running SSK 1.5 but this seems to be a hardware issue?
If you say it has a pinkish tint to it, it's possible you've lost the Blue part of the video altogether.
Usually, the ribbon cable that goes to a LCD screen works via RGB color, similar to VGA or component video. This means that there are several values that indicate how red, green, and blue a specific pixel is.
Pure white has full amounts of red, green, and blue; black has none.
I'm curious of a few things:
1: Are you sure it's hardware-related? The internal screen connections are usually arrayed something along the lines of:
RR..RRGG..GGBB..BB, where each R/G/B represents a binary bit. This means that is is technically possible to see only 16 colors, if, for example, the cable was loose, but those 16 colors would all theoretically be single shades of the same color (assuming the cable was designed logically.)
You can check to see if it's hardware-related pretty simply. If it's a problem with the connection to the screen or the screen module itself, the display should show up correctly in a program like MyMobiler (http://www.mymobiler.com/). If it's a problem with the graphics chip itself (and this is ever-so-incredibly-unlikely), then you'll know, because it _won't_ go away upon flashing a stock ROM.
If it is a hardware problem , it would almost definitely be that there's a bad connection between the ribbon cable that connects the screen to the board. You can find the service guide on the Wiki; from there it's relatively simple to open and reseat the cable.
2: Did you try hard resetting, soft resetting, etc? I can't imagine what in the hardware itself would cause a true 16-color display on a device that was never designed to operate thus- and that leaves some kind of software problem (though I'm honestly not sure what would cause that either.)
3: It really is, truly, 16-color (or another lower color mode, e.g. 256)? Like, CGA-style? You can only each color as black/blue/green/cyan/red/magenta/brown/white- whichever is closest?

I use Pocket Controller Pro and the video in that program is full color, no problem. I also flashed to a new ROM (not stock, new SSK) and it made no change

I have reset everything except my own brain, no changes.

That's probably the best advice yet, off to the Wiki I go. Thanks.

Screen Flicker/Static - faint wavy lines on lighter colored screens

Hi all
Recently started having this issue with my screen - haven't dropped it or anything either. On lighter colored backgrounds there are faint to pretty moderate horizontal lines flickering on the screen. The lines aren't colored or in one specific spot on the screen. It's hard to explain but it is similar to older projection tvs where there are those faint lines(static like) in the background.
I took a screenshot but it doesn't show the lines. I had been using Android Revolution HD 6.1 (great rom btw!!) and I've tried other roms since this began happening (thinking it was the rom) but to no avail. I'm currently running CM7.1.
Things I've tried:
changing roms
turning screen brightness up
turning on automatic brightness
turning down/off various animation settings
turning on light sensor filter in cm7 settings (helps a little)
If anyone can help it'd be greatly appreciated! Thanks for reading!
I would try unrooting, installing ruu from HTC website and see if problem is still there. If it is then you will be back to stock and can claim your warranty. If problem is gone then just reroot. This is a problem I have not read anywhere though so it is probably a hardware malfunction and would need to be warrantied.
Not a bad idea! I'll give it a shot and share the results once complete.
Installed stock RUU - screen lines still present so probably a screen hardware issue. Going to take it into the store tomorrow and see what they can do

Inaccurate touch input on Replaced display

I use a rooted Redmi Note 3 but I really don't think this has a device specific resolution hence posting here. So I broke my display and replaced it from a local shop. (no option for replacement) The problem with the new one is that no matter where I touch on the screen it will be registered on a spot directly below it. For example if you have a QWERTY style keyboard, touching on Q will input an A. This is especially annoying while typing and browsing the internet(clicking the wrong link) . Is there an app or a command that enables me to correct this. Maybe by having the screen move a little without affecting the touch layer. I have a few millimeters hidden under the visible display not sure if it is related. Have corrected it with a screen resizer app but touch issue persists.
