I would like to remove cLock from lock screen so I could use blur effect and not seeing both clocks on lock screen. I have removed weather from lock screen, but when it comes to clock, I am stucked. Tried through settings of lock screen, disabling widget, but nothing happens. Tried to disable, enable disable again as someone mentioned in DroidKang's theme, but nothing happens agian. I am on Droidkang 18 + chaos 9.2.
Any suggestions?

Sounds like a CM issue. Droidkang is based off CM.
So you are trying to get the CM clock off your lockscreen? You are trying to add? Make sure under security that you enable all widgets and then you can edit your lockscreen widgets. I am not sure if this helps but I am a little confused.

Oh ok you want it completely gone? The apk is called lock.apk
You'll need to use file explorer to locate it in the system/app folder and then delete it. Or you can use cleanmaster go to app manager, scroll to system installed apps, select delete done. It's also a very nice app to have, similar to cc cleaner for windows.

I believe the apk name is lockclock.apk
I may be wrong though. Reboot after deleting that app. Hope it helps

What is the service called so I can freeze it?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium
You cant freeze that. There is nothing to freeze.
Why not just go to the Security portion of settings and disable the lockscreen? Just dont put any pattern, pin, or anything. Then anytime you lock the screen it just powers down the screen, hit the power button and its back on, no lock screens of any kinds.

Thanks.
But I want a lockscreen.
I use WidgetLocker and every once in awhile, I get the stock lockscreen and have to swipe it away, then I get the Widgetlocker screen immediately after and have to swipe that away also.
And a couple other buggy type gremlin stuff. Nothing serious, just bits of annoying.
So it would be easier if I could just delete or freeze the stock lockscreen.

Your not going to be able to freeze it because its not really an app to freeze. Its part of the android.policy.jar and framework-res.apk file. This is what the rom makers mess with when they forcing say the AOSP lockscreen.
As far as why the stock one keeps showing up, something is not right, if you set the lockscreen to none on the security settings, then the widgetlocker should be the only one showing up, you shouldnt have two lockscreens. That only happens if you have the security set to a native lockscreen and then widget locker is sitting on top of that.

Huh, if that's the way it's supposed to be done, then I wonder why WidgetLocker doesn't do it for me.
I just turned off the lockscreen in security (I think) and WidgetLocker is still working. I assumed it would be disabled also, if I turned off lockscreen. We'll see if this does the trick. Thanks.
The lockscreen settings in the settings tab only affects the original one, it cant adjust the widgetlocker one. It doesnt even know about that.
So if you removed the lockscreen from settings, it wont show the original samsung one anymore. If they still have Widgetlocker installed and enabled, it will then be your lockscreen. If you dont want that, then you need to disable Widgetlocker and either get another one you like or put the samsung one back on since you said you still want some type of lock screen, otherwise you wont have any lock screen, just a screen power off.
The lockscreen apps unfortunately cant modify the existing base OS code, they litterally just sit on top of the existing one and sort of inject themselves in there by you giving them the default. But if the stock/samsung one is enabled it still goes into effect, thats why you end up with two lockscreens. So basically you need to enable just one of them.

Yep, it looks like you can disable any security settings that pertain to the default lockscreen. Like removing a pin, or special drawing function to unlock.
But it doesn't actually remove the lockscreen itself.
So I tried "No Lock":
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...nolock&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDNd
This completely disables the default lockscreen.
But on reboot, you still see the lockscreen for like two seconds, then it goes away on its own.
I'll try this combo with WidgetLocker for awhile to see how it works. So far so good, but the real test will be over a few days use.
Sometimes that stock lock screen would come up when I bring the phone out of deep sleep. It's fairly rare, just enough to be a small annoyance.

Are you on a rom with 14 toggle? If It has a locksreen toggle, thats what I used when I used golocker. It never showed stock, except on a reboot.
Suddenly the top line of the phone, where the signal and battery found, is gone. Also I can't open the option bar from the top of the screen but from the lock screen. Any ideas? Thanks.
Launcher
It might be a launcher setting, it looks like you are not on the stock launcher. Just check the settings for you launcher and you should be able to fix that.
Check the CM settings and try changing the clock style.

Hi,
Is there any way to change the lockscreen apps? I changed my dock apps to chrome, but my lockscreen still has the stock internet app listed. I tried disabling the Internet app and then the shortcut disappeared in the lockscreen. I re-enabled it however the shortcut never comes back so now I just have a blank spot in my lockscreen. I have tried dirty flashing the rom again but that didn't seem to help. Please advise. Thanks.

Are you using a custom launcher? You have to change the dock apps in Sense in order to change the lockscreen.

thanks for that, this problem was completely maddening haha. it's the little things in life...
title says it all. i can't for the life of me find the setting to allow lockscreen rotation on my OPO. if i use my phone in my car, it's in landscape, and having a portrait oriented lockscreen just looks and feels silly.
okay, squirly squirts, i have it working.
if someone wants to make a quick script to just tap and go from here, just give me a thanks :good: and acknowledgement
it turns out that you need a stupid build.prop edit
go to /system
edit build.prop. you'll need an editor with root access and r/w privileges
add to the end of the file
Code:
log.tag.launcher_force_rotate=VERBOSE
lockscreen.rot_override=true
to the bottom.
save.
reboot.
there you go.:fingers-crossed:
I don't believe you can do it.

You can. Root, install Gravity Box and Xposed, enable it via Gravity Box. have mine lockscreen rotation working though.

That's not the lockscreen, that's a home screen. Mine does that too. I'm talking about the lockscreen. At least, I'm assuming it isn't the lockscreen, considering it looks like it has a dialer on it. It sure isn't the lockscreen on 11s.
Sorry, I'm talking specifically about the custom slider for the OPO, not a boring ring slider, lol

Thats actually is the lockscreen with PIN lock. Oh I think you are using the custom CM11s lockscreen so it cannot rotate I think. Try disable the custom lockscreen?

hell, i've even disabled the stupid custom lockscreen, hoping i could get the regular stock lockscreen to work in landscape. no such luck using gravity box with supersu (pro), using gravity box. wtf? what the emm effing eff? it's killing me, smalls

of course. using supersu for superuser access. it says it's on. never works. not once. not on the 'custom lockscreen' (which i prefer), nor without custom checked.
effing thing. i don't want to have to flash the thing from scratch, but i might this weekend, if nobody comes up with a solution that works.
in fact, using apex launcher, i can get homescreens to rotate, but not lock. using trebuchet, i can't even get homescreens to rotate, using exact same settings. effing ridiculous

Thats because the auto rotate is dependent on the launcher app. Trebuchet doesn't offer as much settings out of the box.
Lock screen does not allow landscape. Thats just how it is.

An easier solution is to download the set orientation app from Google play. It allows rotation in all screens including lock screen.
I tried in many ways to disappear the time from the top bar with no results, do you know a way to completely disappear or eliminate the time from the top bar? This above all to show more notifications on the upper bar, thank you.
Would love to know this too!
Unlock System UI Tuner either with a launcher like Nova or a app like short cutter which is great by the way. You should be able to hide anything that shows up in the status bar

I understand what you're saying, but if it accesses the same system UI tuner built into Android that Nova does, it's not going to change or fix the issue.
When time is removed from the status bar, it comes back on exit. Removing other icons simply doesn't work. Is this the case for others as well?

What's up with the attitude? I tried it, yes it's the same thing, yes it suffers from the same issue. The clock in the status bar always comes back
