[Q] Unable to boot after rooting my OX+ - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Hi,
I am just a beginner for Android and I had got my One X + a month back.
Yesterday I unlocked the bootloader and before flashing the SuperUser, something went wrong and logs in TWRP recovery were stating that it was not able to mount the sdcard and system directory.
Well after a lot of investigation, I reflashed the TWRP recovery and then I was able to sideload the Viper ROM.
I was able to flash the boot.img also. The ROM flashing went fine and when I rebooted, it gets stuck at the boot screen (HTC original bootscreen) and does n't continue further.
I have tried reflashing with other ROMs as well but no luck.

Can't get into recovery (Revolutionary)

Hi All.
I'm having a problem with what appears to be Recovery mode in Revolutionary.
The Desire S has been rooted and S-Off. I then flashed Android Revolution 7(Mike1986).
As I'm about to sell the phone, wanted to do a factory reset, but this restarts the phone and gets stuck on the HTC logo. So I figured I'd manually flash a new ROM instead. So I go into bootloader, but when I get to the menu and select Recovery, again, it gets stuck at an HTC logo.

You need to flash an eng-hboot first before you can flash an RUU to go back to stock.
All details in my signature and the index thread.
Read the forum and index thread before doing anything
Oh, OK - I'm not that bothered about putting it back to stock firmware. I just wondered why Revolutionary doesn't seem to be working.
Presumably I just need to put PG88IMG.zip into the root of the SD card?

By the way did you install any recovery like cwm or 4ext?
Sent by my fingers to your head.
Um.....I'm fairly sure it was CWM, but don't hold me to that. Whatever it was, it allowed me to install Android Revolution 7.
I can't update HBOOT - Revolutionary keeps bypassing it?????

Android Revolution 7??? On the Desire S...? Where'd you get that from? It's not officially supported by the ARHD team!!
Now I'm absolutely confused where the hell I got that from!!!
I think the best course of action is to get the phone back into shape - so I need to flash the HBOOT back and presumably the recovery back if possible. Revolutionary is preventing me from flashing a new Hboot. Any ideas?
EDIT : Right. Using ADB, I've managed to re-flash CWM and now it works. But can someone advise on getting HBoot to flash?
Loll fire the dd command to flash hboot.
It is fine from adb.
See in the thread of my signature for the dd commands

Just wanted to thanks everyone for their replies. At the moment I'm using a custom rom, with CWM still installed. I haven't sold it on yet, as the Sensation XE I bought to replace it, died within 24 hours! D'oh!!!

S4 stuck in a bootloop, help please!

Hey guys, a few weeks ago i took the OTA JB Update HTC offered me, but was not happy with it (Music controls, USM missing,..) so i tried to install the Viper Rom to my phone.
As the instructions said i first did a nandroid backup (which I gave a wrong name it appears so i couldn't use it afterwards (Md5 Sum Error or something)), then i flashed the rom and next i tried to flash the boot image from my PC which didnt work (i think it has something to do with UMS missing, not sure though).
My CWM said my SD card couldnt be mounted and i am stuck in a bootloop when trying to start normally (after white splash screen it goes black - drains power - but doesnt do anything else) however i do get into bootloader and i have succesfully been able to do stuff via fastboot.
For instance i flashed the stock recovery which apperantly gave me an error sign so i flashed the TWRP Recovery the HTC One S All in One Kit provided me with (̶ ̶j̶u̶s̶t̶ ̶t̶i̶r̶e̶d̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶o̶u̶t̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶i̶n̶s̶t̶e̶a̶d̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶g̶o̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶i̶n̶t̶o̶ ̶r̶e̶c̶o̶v̶e̶r̶y̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶s̶h̶o̶w̶s̶ ̶m̶e̶ ̶a̶ ̶[̶I̶]̶*̶S̶e̶c̶u̶r̶i̶t̶y̶ ̶W̶a̶r̶n̶i̶n̶g̶*̶[̶/̶I̶]̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶B̶o̶o̶t̶l̶o̶a̶d̶e̶r̶ - works). Also I locked and unlocked the bootloader succesfully, so I think I do have chances left getting my phone back to work.
The Options for my situation I have seen so far are:
Using an RUU for my Phone (I tried various already, but i somehow don't seem to find the right one)
Down/Upgrading (not sure) my HBoot and running an RUU designed for the Endeavour, but known to support my CID (HTC__102).
Doing something with the Files inside an RUU (RUU.zip method or something)
This one i havent recherched on yet: Changing my CID to the "super CID" and then using an RUU or something.
Phone Information: HTC One S Unbranded S4
Not sure if helpful but: Bootloader says:

Just reflash your unlock code from HTC dev install twrp then flash away
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
Don't panic, this should be an easy fix.
Once you relock, you have to run a ruu or unlock again. But you're trying to run a ruu for older firmware, which is why it's failing.
Just push the unlock token again, and you should be able to boot to recovery. If not, push the recovery image again. I don't recommend CWM, even though it's been ported to this phone. That version of TWRP should work, just confirm that you've got the Evita version.
OK i have unlocked again and re pushed recovery TWRP 2.4.1.0
But I still cant boot into the recovery option..
PLease tell me what im doing wrong..

I believe through adv but is way simpler to do it through recovery. Try a earlier version of twrp

did you verify you are unlocked now, or did you just assume since you pushed the token again?
Also, are you certain you're using the right version of TWRP and not one for another phone (like the endeavour/Tegra One X)?
I pushed the same token and rebooted the device at the top its now says unlocked

Here is my accomplishments so far:
- Unlocked with HTC Dec, therefore it says unlocked as mentioned above
- Installed TWRP v2.5.0.0, and can successfully boot into recovery
Yet to be done and do not know how to:
- S-OFF
- Super CID
- Permanent Root
Problems installing ROM:
- unable to install. Various errors with different roms, such as:
1) unable to mount sdcard
2) assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device")
3) error executing updater binary in zip
Please advise. Thank you for your time.
Note: the device is locked to Rogers. It is currently in bootloop. I do not know what I did but before installing TWRP, the device went in bootloop after unlocking bootloader and it would simply not start. Although, as mentioned I can successfully boot into the recovery and mount the sdcard from there to transfer files to the phone.

Why are you relocked?
Unlock again and update TWRP, then try to flash a ROM again. What ROM(s) are you trying to flash.
Be aware that since you are s-off, you will need to extract boot.img from the ROM you are trying to flash, and manually flash with fastboot. You will need to do this every time you flash a ROM, unless you get s-off.
Also, I don't know why you posted to this old thread. Aside from the OP also having the Rogers version, it has nothing to do with your issue. Should have started your own thread.
I'll just clarify that when Redpoint said you need to update TWRP you should update it to TWRP 2.6, your current version (2.5) is very buggy. Also, he means since you are s-on you need to flash the boot.img, when you get s-off this will no longer be required.

[Q] Phone won't boot into recovery. Goes Black!

I have an HTC One X from AT&T. I recently got root and started playing. I flashed Clean Rom 6.5 using clockwordmod and it went well. Used it about a week and got bored. (Later I saw that TWRP was needed for that.) I decided I wanted to try a Cyanogen Mod but realized later after research that my phone received the OTA update that only allows Sense ROMS on my phone. After I flashed Cyanogen 10 with clockwordmod the touch screen wouldn't work. I tried to get back to Clean Rom 6.5 and tied to flash TWRP as my bootloader. It went bad from there. Now I cannot get to recovery. It appeas I don't have a bootloader flashed. I used FastbootFlasher_V2.4 and flashed TWRP. It said it was sent. Still won't go to recovery. I downloaded the RUU.exe and tried that process. It failed too. After I tried to restore the RUU it said to reboot. I did and then the cyanogen logo came on and hung. I went to fastboot and typed in fastboot erase cache. No help. Here's my screen info if that helps:

Firstly I used "Hasoon2000's HTC one X all-in-one Toolkit" to unblock my bootloader and installing TWRP and Rooting
first I Unblocked the bootloader, than I Installed TWRP 2.5 and after that I rooted My phone.
I tried to install custom ROM in TWRP. I couldnt install because it gave me error. I wiped my phone with TWRP witout any Back-up ( this was my biggest mistake I think ) than tried to install ROM and I couldnt. I started to frustrate because I thought I bricked the phone. I started to search websites and XDA to find Solution for installing ant ROM to Retrieve my phone.
I tried to Install TWRP and CWM recovery last version with fastboot command. when I install them. when I turn of my phone it went to directly to recovery mode which is did not work. it was black screen. I installed back TWRP 2.5 which was working.
I tried to install RUU with .exe extensions and i got error .
I RELOCKED my bootloader again I tried to install factory RUU with "Hasoon2000's HTC one X all-in-one Toolkit" and I got error again in command screen.
I want to know what can I do now. I dont want to do any wrong action
If I missed some information in my question please tell me
I wait your helps
thanks
Your phone isn't bricked, if it can get to the bootloader you can fix it. Get the latest version of TWRP from here, go to my How-To Guide For Beginners thread in my signature and follow the directions there on how to flash it.
The reason you're having trouble is because the hasoon toolkit hasn't been updated in forever and it still installs a version of TWRP (2.5) that's full of bugs and is basically useless. Ditch the toolkit and learn how to do things manually, it's the best way to do things anyway.
