Again m here wid CWM Recovery for Micromax Canvas Doodle A111
HOW TO INSTALL:-
Copy the downloaded recovery.img to your
ADB folder
-- Turn off your phone
-- Boot into fastboot mode by pressing power
button and volume down keys together
--connect your phone to PC using USB cable
--Open cmd then type the command "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
--And U are done
PROCESS 2 (easy but works on rooted phones only)
--Install Android Terminal Emulator
--Place cwm recovery in ur sd card
--Open a terminal emulator
- Type the command "su"
- Then type the command
"dd if = / sdcard / cwmrecovery.img of = / dev/block/mmcblk0p13"

Here is the complete guide for those who own Micromax A73
Required
*Micromax A73
*Windows PC
*Android SDK Installed
*You!!
Step 1: Rooting Micromax A73
1. Download and install drivers from official micromax superfone website.
micromaxsuperfone.com/products/PDF/A73_driver.zip
2. Download Unlock Root for windows.
unlockroot.com
3. Now switch on USB debugging mode in Settings>Applications>Development
4.Now connect your A73 to PC and click the big Root button on Unlock Root program.
5. Select the device when prompted.
6. You are rooted!! now you are good to go..
Step 2: Flashing clockworkmod recovery
1. Download and install ROM Manager app from the play store.
2. Now download and install recovery file from mediafire.com/download.php?rcoilt4geer4878
credits: Beerzar from Thailand and Shahabazas from India.
3. Copy recovery.img file to your sdcard. (Do not copy to any subfolders.)
4. Switch off USB storage mode
5. Download cyanogen-files.carneeki.net/flash_image.zip and extract it to C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools
6. Click start and type cmd. Hit enter. (make sure you've connected your phone to PC and USB debugging is on.)
7. Type
cd C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools
adb push flash_image /sdcard/
adb shell
su
mount -o remount,exec /dev/block//vold/179:1 /sdcard
cd /sdcard
./flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img
8. Now you have flashed your clockworkmod recovery to Micromax A73.
Step 3: Installing custom ROM
1. Download custom ROM (Cyano, MIUI or anything..)
2. Copy it to your sdcard

I get an error 'failed to get shell root' if I try to unlock my micromax A73 via using unlockroot.
I also tried using applications like superoneclick, but it does not respond after it reaches 'Shell rooting device - Wait for device'

Device manager --> Add legacy hardware --> Browse your inf and install those drivers.
Still not moving forward!

A73 has mt6573 while a57 has Qualcomm cpu. So the answer is no.

Download superuser zip file and copy that to root of your sd card. Then open CWM and flash it. Then reboot.

After these step i get a msg during rooting process in Unlock root..... Failed to get shell root
so how i'll proceed to nxt step.

i am not yet have root privilege... so how i will put Superuser in root dir.
do hv to keep trying on...or there any other process..pls let me know

Hey noob, root dir. means " / " i.e. copy the zip file directly to sdcard (not in any of the subfolder)
Please make a genuine rom all these roms have lots of bugs

Yeah its all sorted out now...
I've been using it for a day and a half now...
Nothing has happened yet.. (and hopefully wont)
adb doesn't work (within the recovery)

For TWRP 2.4, we need CM10.1...
As soon as the devs get it to boot, I'll port 2.4 to Pico.. :good:
2.3.3.0 is the latest for us right now...
is there any risk if I flash this recovery from terminal emulator and something goes wrong.

hii friends some of members or newbies dont know anythig about cwm so let me explain all these things and flashing and booting in cwm
two methods can be used to flash cwm !
first is by using application
second is by using fastboot mode.
flash cwm via apps
there are mainly two apps are used to flash cwm

recovery manager(rom manager may be) :

how to flash :
choose flash cwm from sd card (recovery.img should be placed in sdcard root) and then flash. u need to be smart because app interface changes according to updates.

Procedure:
rename downloaded recovery to recovery.img--

After sometime it shows fastboot mode in red colour.
connect your phone to PC using USB cable
If you are in WinXP, open command prompt and browse to your ADB folder using cd commands.If you are in Windows7, right click in the ADB folder and click to open command prompt there.--
Type this in the command prompt :

This should display your device name in fastboot mode, if nothing is shown, then you have to check previous steps again.--
Type this command to flash CWM recovery to your phone

It will show the progress and completion dialogue within seconds when it finishes successfully. Now you can try if CWM is working.-- download quick boot to boot in cwm

how to flash :
adb folder : http://www.mediafire.com/download/0i...bh/Android.zip
Procedure:
rename downloaded recovery to recovery.img--
Copy the downloaded recovery.img to your ADB folder--Turn off your phone-- Boot into fastboot mode by pressing power button and volume down keys together for sometime.
After sometime it shows fastboot mode in red colour.
connect your phone to PC using USB cable
If you are in WinXP, open command prompt and browse to your ADB folder using cd commands.If you are in Windows7, right click in the ADB folder and click to open command prompt there.--
Type this in the command prompt :

fastboot devices
This should display your device name in fastboot mode, if nothing is shown, then you have to check previous steps again.--
Type this command to flash CWM recovery to your phone

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
It will show the progress and completion dialogue within seconds when it finishes successfully. Now you can try if CWM is working.-- download quick boot to boot in cwm

[Root][Cwm Recovery] Zen Ultrafone u303 3G

For Rooting the device use kingoroot app either from pc or device.
follow the app instruction.
once rooted, you should take a backup using SP flash tools
Refer to this guide for a detailed instructions for taking a backup.
Now installing cwm recovery using fastboot method
1. you must have fastboot set up Guide here
2. After setting up you should be in C:\android\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools
3. Download and save the recovery.img from attachment to the folder
4. Right click on a blank space of the window to "Open command prompt here.
5. Connect your device to the PC. And type the following into the command window above to boot your device into bootloader/fastboot mode:
adb reboot bootloader

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

successfully boot into the new custom recovery.
from here if you want to change to supersu and remove kingosuperuser you can download from
supersu official site
paste in internal sdcard,
boot into cwm recovery
and flash the file.
press no, if the recovery asks to fix root.

can't mount sd-ext.
