HD2 Stock Monitor App (HSI_Stock) Location?

I am trying to find the location of the Stock Monitor app that is in the Lower Bar. I did a search of my phone and can only find HSI_Stock.png. I know it is burned into the ROM so is that why I cannot find it?
I would like to use that app on another WM phone if I can find the cab. I am using Pocket Stock Monitor, but still like HSI_Stock.
Thanks.

It is part of Sense(manilla) I do believe don't think you are gonna be able to take it to a phone that is not running Sense(manilla).

how to hide application in android uninstall list?

Hi to all,XDA developers !
i'm curious to make app that will not be seen by user in his/her mobile.. that would start on Boot. and will not be visible in android uninstall list as well !!
need help of you guys...
Regards,
Piyush
If you install it in /system/app/
it shouldn't be visible in 3rd party uninstallers.
If you use Settings->Applications->Manage it's still visible.
how to hide it in "If you use Settings->Applications->Manage " ?
any trick ?
Are you trying to write some kind of malware?

Not that intention ! want to us it for 1app.
This seems pretty shady. I don't see why you would need to hide the application from the user's Application List.
...and you want it to run on boot? Hmm...
malware .. spyware .. **** lol ..
nope... ne idea ?
i got solution.....
How did you manage it?
I have an App which I'm wanting to do the same with (LocatorPro - to find phone if stolen)

Regardless of what you intended on producing...I don't understand why NOBODY has actually given you a proper answer.
I think you asked a critically smart question...as I am a new member...I joined this forum ONLY because I was looking for the answer to this question.
I am not a developer (even though I would love to learn)... but I need to know how to discreetly add apps.
The Story:
I have installed a spy app on another phone of mine. (SmsBox)
I need to hide that software completley from the list of apps AND from the "Manage Applications" list in the settings.
I want it to run in the background constantly and do what it already does.
IF someone has a solution for me...(or gets an idea on producing a new app with this feature)...please let me know.
(Since I don't know how often I will be visiting this site...Please email me at : [email protected]
Thanks!
I found this thread also looking for some way to hide (maybe disguise and lock) locator apps.
I think it would be really useful to hide anti thieves apps. They're almost useless if anybody can just take a look at the apps list and throw em away.
I've been looking for an app with that feature (among others) with no luck (Watchdroid the closest, but can be removed along its disguise and password protection).
So... any advice?
Thanks
You could write a text-mode application and just compile as a bare executable (not an apk). Just add that to your startup script (does android use init.d?), and it will be invisible to most people. You'll need root, most likely. (might be able to push over adb, then run via shell. Not sure what the permissions are on some things).

Avast anti-theft can be hidden from launcher, disguised in settings and survive a factory default wipe on a rooted phone.

Root access

I know it seems rather trivial, but is there someone working on root access for the gear s2? I'd love custom ringtones like on my gear s.
It can be done without rooting your device. Unfortunately, I don't have a 3g S2 to test it :-/
if you have a method, I'd be more than willing to test and get back to you . Tired of the boring stock tones lol
Actually I'm working on one, and it's very close to release
I can help test with a 3G version as well.

Thanks! Currently, I'm having troubles with installing the file on a tester watch other than my own. The steps are rather complicated and difficult due to Samsung's strict policy about distributing apps outside the store. Once the problem is solved, I will let you know. :fingers-crossed:
Thanks! I have sdb setup on my computer at home, and the ability to install sideloaded wgt files if that helps

The problem now is that even if I signed the wgt file with the tester's watch id, it still refuses to install. I'm trying to solve it before I invite more people to test
I also have a 3G version, will be willing to test out. Really sounds dumb, but i want to have custom ringtones, i bought the Filemaster app for $3, it shows you root access. but will not let you transfer to that folder.
Unless someone has a way to do that.
Let me know if you need any testing.
Ok guys any news on rooting this baby?

With root access, is one able to modify system settings like on Android phones (like buildprop tweaks)?
I'm specifically looking for ways to fix the buggy always-on mode still turning off the display & to change the screen timeout.
But if one modifies the watch, will OTA updates still work?
And is there an Odin-like program for the Gear S2?

Sorry but I'm not familiar with this topic. I haven't messed with the Tizen system before. However, I'm sure that the Odin-like app for the S2 doesn't exist
The custom ringtone app is now available for 3g users. Let me know what you think about it

Damn, just found this thread and read through it. Haven't looked at Tizen development yet, but am well-experienced developing for Android.
@tipztv, what you mention about deployment is very troubling! How does this issue affect private app development and deployment on one's own watch? I have all kinds of little apps I've developed over the years just for myself to plug functionality holes or just make something easier to do on the phone. Of course, with Android, it's trivial to do this. How about on Tizen?
No news about the root ?
Was root never achieved?

Add Parallel Apps?

Any idea how to add apps to the parallel apps on a rooted phone?
Gotta be a way to mod it or something.

You could try Island
Is there any magisk module etc for this?
In MIUI I was able to clone every app.
Also anynone knows if island kinda destroys the ability of 2nd profile etc? (Though I doubt I will ever need it)

I have also been using Shelter to get parallel apps. It utilizes a work profile from what I understand

No. I think I used island for a bit like someone suggested.
I stopped even rooting my phone's awhile ago because it seems to have just died. Custom roms aren't what they used to be. Custom recoveries don't work anymore with all the locked bootloader's. It's a shame
Been using one plus phones simply because they have that old cyanogenmod feel.

Changing OK GOOGLE hotword

I already googled before asking (and found that article, I even bought the tasker app for it, and even so, I think that method isn't the best, until now I found reasons to avoid buying tasker, now I need to find the best uses for me to use it LOL), but I want a root way or even an xposed way of doing this by hooking into the source, not by getting a different app to always listen to me (and probably take more power then needed, as I think google did the work needed to make it take as little power as possible)
and I already have a rooted and exposed phone, so I thought may as well hook into whatever controls the hotword (I know it works on the phone offline, it does not need to connect to the internet to verify the hotword...) and change the local hotword...

You could try modding the Google/Google Assistant apk. I wouldn't know where to modify it or if it can even be done.
