What phone should I get?

I'm currently using Samsung Galaxy Mini GTS5570
I flash lots of custom roms to my device, even with the custom roms on, it still lags me out.
So I decided to make a move and change my device hoping it would not be as bad as this one.
Any suggestions what budget android phone with a not-so-bad processor or should I say speed??
Please do reply thanks
I find Galaxy S+ a budget Android phone with not bad speed and some serious customization capabilities. If you have more funds I'd go for SII as it has dual core processor and full cyanogenmod released.
Samsung galaxy s blaze 4g, if your on T-Mobile. I was looking for a budget phone, and this is what I got, doesn't feel like a budget phone though lol. Well its upper mid range phone

LG optimus 4x or samsung Samsung s3

Hi all, I am so stuck between these two!! The Samsung s3 would cost me a extra 80quid but I am trying to justify spending the extra on a device which is very similar spec.
Would appreciate people's thoughts, opinions and experiences
Many thanks!

I have an lg 4x hd. I love it. The only problem is the locked bootloader. It is supposedly going to be unlocked, but who knows when that will ever happen. Great phone though. I think it is much more durable than the s3.
Just my opinion......
Did a little more searching... seems some european models are able to be unlocked. Haven't tried it yet.

+1 the above
I have the 4X HD as well and love it. It is faster than my colleague's S3, the battery lasts longer and it looks better too.
If you want something that you can put custom ROMs on, then the S3 will probably always have better support, but if you want a device that works go for the 4X HD. I have a Nexus 7 and my old HTC DS for my ROM work, so my phone can do what it is designed for.
I prefer LG to Samsung but at this level it's all about personal preference
Thanks all swaying towards lg now a little, I am just really bad with descions like this two years is a long time to have a phone

[Q] New phone suggestions

Hey guys I was recently able to sell my g2x and I have about 200$ to spend on a new phone what ares some suggestions for a new device, I was thinking of a galaxy nexus or a htc 1 s. Any ideas would be welcome thanks.
Those would be my 3 choices as well...however before choosing i would compare the specs and performance of each device as well as checkout some of the custom roms and kernels available as i would root the phone as soon as i got it. i know the galaxies have a lot of dev support

Thanks for the advice I'm leaning towards the nexus cause of Dev support and I'm not realy familer with htc unlocking rooting and roming process.
Nexus 4 is 350 new, off contract unlocked.
Galaxy Nexus is still good though and a hundred bucks cheaper.

I'd say go with the nexus. I rooted several HTC devices for friends and it was a pain in the butthole, you have to register on htcdev, use command prompts and etc. etc. to unlock the bootloader and then do another to get S-Off and its just a mess
what about optimus l9
Does anybody use an l9 as their daily driver if so how do you like it I am thinking about this instead of a gnexus cause its cheaper but I don't want to be stuck with another lg phone that never gets updates.
Thanks
I just bought an HTC One. It's excellent.

I jumped from g2x to l9 and I love it. Just got the update to jellybean too. L9 is the best phone u can get at 199 New no contract. But remember this is a LG phone so jellybean might be the only update for this phone

Thanks for the info at this piont I'm considering either the gnexus or the l9.
Not considering gs3 anymore?

The galaxy s4 looks sweet. Think that might be my next rig

Goodbye S4...

I know most of you won't care, but I want to say goodbye to my S4, all of you on the AT&T Galaxy S4 forum and Samsung in general.
I won't be buying another Samsung phone until they finally realize that they need to badly optimize their software. I am finally sick and tired of the lag and slowdowns on this phone regardless of rom and kernel combination. And the Note 3 videos show the signature Touchwiz ui lag once again, snapdragon 800, 3gb of ram and all.
I will be getting my LG G2 on Tuesday and will be selling my S4. Good luck to you all it has been real and there are a lot of great people here! Hope to see you all again one day.

Hopefully you don't get stuck with a locked boot loader with the G2. I personally dislike the software overlay the s4 comes with but that's why I run aosp style Roms. Good luck with the G2

Wait so you are moving from Samsung to the G2 because of lag?! Hate to break it to you, LG is even worse.

Umm, are you serious? You base your statement on what? I bought a LG Optimus G Pro for extremely cheap to check out the LG software and ui and then I flipped it for a profit.
There was zero lag. As in none that I could find. And look at the videos of the G2. The thing looks screaming fast and can only be faster than he Optimus G Pro with the Snapdragon 800. That is scary to think about because the Optimus G Pro is scary fast.
Compare that to the Note 3 videos and you can see lag all over the ui which is standard for Samsung lately.

I ran an LG OGP numerous times before getting the S4. No lag--I just didn't like the 5 inch size. Good Luck--
Still say the s4 is better and nicer. The screen is outstanding and mine with the mf3 update works great. Every android phone lags a little. Also 4.3 is coming to the s4 in October because they need to update it for it to work with the new smartwatch.

To each their own. Before owning the S4 and note 2 I had the optimus G and with the S4 pro CPU and andreno 320 GPU the phone was very fast and fluid. LG has been stepping their game up IMO.

The lg is a really nice device no doubt but the lack of an sd card slot is a deal breaker for alot of us....I def need the extra storage!
Enjoy your new device though

Thanks bro, but 32gb is plenty for me. I put several albums on locally that I really want on my phone and then use Google Music for the rest of my collection. And I don't put or watch movies on my phone.
But as you know, everyone has different needs. I can't wait for this phone, I think I will enjoy it based on early reviews and videos.
Enjoy your S4 bro!

Damnit..you got me reading up on the g2 lol..there is a korean model with an sd card slot....not 100% if it will support LTE in us or canada though (99% sure it wont out of the box) or if it will be possible to mod it to do so. I would prolly pick one up if so just for something different since ive been all sammy the last 3 devices.
Time will tell I guess

Bro, do it! Haha. The phone is gonna be an absolute monster. I picked up a cheap LG Optimus G Pro to see if I would like he LG UI and all of that and it was wicked fast man. So I can only imagine how fast the G2 is gonna be with the Snapdragon 800 and Adreno 330.

Sorry, didn't mean to double post. Meant to add this:
On the videos I've watched it looks mind numbingly fast.

Its always been known that touchjizz is an awful, memory hog of an overlay. That's why we have aosp based ROMs...to each their own, though.

Hmm that's funny because my touchwiz rom doesn't lag after some simple optimization and my cpu even goes down to 81mhz, in fact its snappy as hell.
P.S. Have fun with LG, the worst quality electronics company ever. With a list of horrible products in recent and past history I could make a whole forum about.

Lg g2 to note 3?

Hi everyone. I have the lg g2 now. And I'm thinking everyday to get the note 3 but im really confused. Has anyone came from lg g2? What do you think is better? Which one has a better battery life? Help me out.. Thanks
I had an LG G2 (great phone) but it broke after I threw it (after an argument). I then opted for the Note 3 & I'm glad I did. Great battery life which is comparable with the G2, great screen size & awesome speed. I miss my G2 but would not swap back. I love the s-pen feature's of the Note. All in all I am very happy with my Note.

I have owned both the G2 and the Note 3 and I believe the Note 3 is much better.
From my experience the Note 3 has better battery life and also the interface operates smoother on the Note 3.
The larger screen size on the Note 3 is a also a plus along with the micro SD card slot.
I've got both and I like LG G2 much more then Note 3! Unfortunately I can't sell my note as I paid £615 for it and will lose a lot of money. So I have to keep it.

A family member of mine has the G2. Wouldnt swap my n9005 for it.
This phone is in a completely different league.
Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
Had both. Bought the g2 this past Sunday for my wife and I loved the phone and the light ui. Buttons and tap to wake are fantastic.
The only reason I exchanged it for the note 3 is because it reminded me to much of the s3 physically.
Both are fantastic phones, my wife loves gets and was very impressed with the battery life on both of hours

I am having both the phones g2 is in drawer after purchasing note 3 both the phone are good but I like over saturated colours of n3 spen and large screen estate might sell g2.
