Hey all,
does anyone know if the Nexus 5 has some kind of sticker or indicator that states whether the back panel has been opened or not? I mean, if I remove the back panel of my Nexus 5, how will Google know that I've opened it?
Thanks in advanced.

Maybe 1 of the pictures or a passage in the article may explain your question.

Have some hope, many people who bought when it said 4-5 weeks have had their order shipped already. I'm not saying it's going to happen, just a possibility.
That would be great, I'm never that lucky, I'm enjoying the nexus 5 port for now.

Not on TMobile, but they don't fake their numbers..must be a Sprint thing.../snort. Very odd.
This is the first time it's done it. So funny.

Never happened on any of the six N5 I used (EU model, D821), nor on my 2012 N7 3G.
I haven't seen this issue on N5.
It happened to me once when I had Galaxy Nexus.
I think it depends on the server where you are downloading from.
In this particular case it seems to be google play.
Are you using any apps to get to the market? I know people from outside of US are using them.
Hey,
my volume broke in the middle and now I can't control my volume properly...
Does anyone know what it costs to repair that thing, or if Google still accepts rma? (I got one with these yellowish displays)

Okay, it's still broken. How can I turn off the volume down button? Which keylayout file do I have to edit?

Why don't you just RMA it? That's clearly a hardware defect if it broke in half, so they will accept returns.

I already rma'd but I wanted to let them take the authorization from My credit card until another one.
Just in case

Hey guys,
This is kind of a ridiculous question, but it's bothering me (because of the way I am ☺), so here it goes.
You know those wallet cases that close with a magnet?
What's bothering me is that all my life I've heard that magnets mess screens and hard drives up, and things like that.
So are these kind of cases safe?
Sorry about the ridiculous question again.

Hi, yes they are safe. I've been using wallet cases for a few years with no issues...

You don't have a crt display or a hard drive so they're safe

Thanks for the answers guys.
These kind of things are what make XDA so good, you cab ask about anything and there is always someone who can help you.
Thanks again. ☺

Just another quick question.
Nexus 5 as a quick cover from LG selling at the play store, these case makes it lock when you close the cover, wouldn't these wallet cases work the same way?

On the nexus there is a magnetic switch up near the vol up key. If the magnet on the LG cover is in the same location it would work.

Straight from the product page on Google Play for the cover...
"Get access to your basic UI without swipe unlock by simply opening the front cover."
So the answer would be yes
