I have installed the Dashclock widget from the Playstore. Is there a way to have the Dashclock lockscreen default to its "expanded view" instead of having to manually drag it down to see notification details? Thanks.
Certain ROMs will have this feature included in them. For instance, the settings in Cataclysm has an option for 'Lockscreen widgets maximized'.

To add to that: no you cannot do that with DashClock on stock Google 4.4. However, root, unlock, rom, whatever, and it will open up that possibility + many more.

Got it. Thanks. Also, I think the Xposed framework might have a module for this ... I'll have to check it out once it works for the Nexus 5.

You might be right I do remember something like that in Xposed
Hello guys,
I have searched xda and other sites for Non-intrusive in-call UI for nexus stock rom 4.4.2, but found no so such thing.
GravityBox with Xposed Framework can give us similar feature but with no UI.
Can any developer help us to get exactly like Omni rom that can be used in Stock Nexus 5 rom ?
It may require a different framework apk or lib which is not present in stock...
I am requesting our great developers for this feature to be available in stock rom either by in the form of any APK, or Porting some lib & recovery Zip or by Xposed framework, I am missing this great feature in stock rom...
Thanks to all our dev.
:fingers-crossed:
Nobody wants this feature in stock rom ? Is it possible to develop ?
Here's hoping something comes from this!
I do think there is an app that does this too, may want to check in the play store.
Actually there is an app called Small Call.
But it has 2 drawbacks:
- it's not "non intrusive" at all, in fact when a call is being received, the hole screen turns dark, with decline/answer buttons on bottom.
- the is a huge delay of 2-3 seconds between the moment you press decline and the actual ending of the call.
An alternative (preferably free) to this app would be much appreciated.
How about using xblast tools or gravity box for this

try this app

Use Xposed Installer and install Gravity Box. Perfectly working non-intrusive calls which in my opinion is better than the one in OmniROM.
Problem with gravity box or xblast is that those two can interfere with custom ROMs.

Gravity box doesn't have non intrusive option. Instead it keeps the call info in status bar (what they call... In background).
As fot xblast, I can't find any option regarding the call handling.
CallHeads on the other hand is exactly what I want..... But... When the screen is off and a call is being received, it doesn't turn the screen on.
But when the screen is on... It's ok.
This one is perfect from all points of views:

Thank you all for your inputs.
Except for one thing...the text when denying option.

I agree with you that , GravityBox non-intrusive option do not have any rectangular window with accept / reject call like Omni Rom.
And in Xblast , I also have not found such option.
I have used the "Call PopOut" app , But to me , the caller circle is not a bit small and I like the rectangular popup for incoming call (like omni) more that this app.
Can't somebody develop that for stock rom ?
I tried to extract only the non-intrusive code from GravityBox source code and tried to make a new xposed app but no success yet. ( I am not a Android Programmer though)
Looking for expart xda developer's help
Thanks
Oh yes, make no mistake.... The non intrusive from Omni is the best, both functionality and graphics.
But until a generous dev helps us..... We're stuck with these replacements.... Some of them very very good to.
I am also looking forward to see this feature in Xposed framework. It's simple and beautiful. Please dear devs port this feature to gravity box maybe? or diferent Xposed module.
This feature is in gravity box. Look for it.

No, gravity Box has a "non-intrusive" mode that puts the call in the status bar and notification drawer. This isn't the same as what the OP and everyone else is asking about. Omni does it differently. See picture.

I like the look, but functionality? No, sorry. Omni's isn't really "less intrusive" at all. Reason being is the entire rest of the screen becomes unresponsive until you accept the call, decline the call or wait for it to go to voicemail. Until you do one of those, you can't use the phone. The way Slim (and GB) does it, is less intrusive. It plays a ringtone and puts the call in the notification bar. The entire time, you can use the phone as normal until you decide what you want to do. Functionality goes to the latter, hands down.
Finally We Got The Feature -- Non-intrusive in-call UI POP UP
Hello Friends,
Here is one update regarding Non-intrusive in-call UI POP UP.
It can be implemented using the latest gravity box & Xposed Framework
I was waiting for this feature for a long time ....
After Developer Preview Release of Android L ...Gravity Box also adopt this feature.
(Hope you all know that Android L have feature like Non-intrusive in-call UI POP UP , like Omni ROM)

If its 4.4.2 try this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...-dialer-aosp-to-google-dialer-odexed-t2526844
The carbonRom based dialer
I'm in stock rooted 4.4.4 and this works for me with the new gravity box update
The issue with enabling heads up is that ALL your notifications come in Heads Up now right?
What if I only want my incoming calls to perform the Omni-like unobtrusive call? The GB implementation is just dumb. The extra step of fumbling through my notification bar can mess me up in a high stress situation.
Hello xda
I wanted to know how to add an image in notification bar. I tried searching it on Google but wasn't able to find a solution. I am pretty sure it can be done. Had done it KitKat. Unable to do it in lollipop.
I have attached an image just in case. The thing at top right..
Isn't that tied to your google+ account photo?

He is asking about the background.
Xposed modules can do that.Maybe some custom ROMs have that option.
I never saw such a feature with custom roms so your best bet is Xposed modules IMO.
A technical option would be to modify your Systemui.apk.
Hi,
Can you guys tell me how to add shortcuts to the lockscreen? I could not find the option anywhere.
Thanks for your help.
As far as I know, the only way is to use xposed. Option not available in standard settings.

Dang. Samsung truely became Apple's ***** on this one. The phone looks the same and now works the same.
I haven't rooted yet and I wanna wait a little bit and see how the Android and Samsung Pay work first before rooting.
Do you know any way to add the flash light on the home screen?
Xposed is the way I have always added that, but I have not tried it yet on the note 5, sorry!
As the title reads, I want to remove the lock screen camera and ok google shortcuts. Function shortcuts are off in settings and I have none defined in GravityBox but those are still there. This on a 6045I, stock 6.0.1, rooted and Xposed.
Please don't ask why I want to do that, I just want them gone.
Thanks for any help.
David C.
no way to give them away unless you recompile framework-res or launcher.apk. Or just use another lockscreen app.

I don't even know what the first part means
Strange, you would think they would give us the option completely considering there is a function for that already.
Thanks
David C.
Got it!!
There is an Xposed module called Clean Lockscreen that lets you select what to display and what not to on the lockscreen. Very efficient. Now how do I changed this post tittle as SOLVED?
