i am a junior too. got my phone 2 months ago and i am not a developer, even though i have some IT expertise. up until now, i messed up the android on this phone probably 20 times and reinstalled it everytime in a couple of minutes. i have tested lots of roms and kernels, some of them several times over and my impression is it's difficult to really brick it. maybe not having a charged battery while flashing, but that never happened to me.
try installing clockwork mod recovery after rooting, because it's really useful. then use extensively the backup it provides, before flashing something.
otherwise, follow the forums. these guys know what they do.

Thnaks it really helped

Have you tried the Xperia Arc part of the forum, more particularly this thread;
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1653188
I had to unlock my boot loader, then I used a one-click root made for this model phone, you must also make sure you have the drivers for your phone and the Android SDK.
Then I flashed a kernel, booted into clockwork mod and made a backup. This is pretty much advised incase something on your phone goes wrong, you can restore it from there as well.
Everything you need to know is on that thread, and you can get to the whole Xperia Arc forum from there.

arc has its own thread, head on there and you will find more than you need

[mod][for the phones bootng only to recovery] solution inside

your phone is booting to recovery only ,after installing custom recovery
here is the solution.
1.if you want to install custom rom and gapps, install twrp recovery
and install rom,gapps,and other mods
2.now your phone will not boot to system
3.after installing custom rom you need to install this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=928219&d=1330695090
see the video it is explained
if you are stuck in recovery mode you need to flash bootloader
you are saying that you need to flash again stock recovery( if i want to have custom recovery and i'm stuck in custom recovery and after i flash stock recovery what's the deal ?? ).. you're wrong in my opinion
here it is the solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24831012&postcount=1330
edit: i also think this thread is useless because in i9001 wiki page you'll find th solution for this problem and much more and even in some OP you'll see
edit 2: your video it's really cool.. i've just learned so much from it ))))
Here is the Proper fix

Thanks for your effort but this is already known for a long time by almost everyone.
I had use today odin for a long time. Probably haven't flashed anything via odin at least in 6 months or more.
I got bootloop to recovery. Now it's working.
Wow, thanks for the effort you've put in making this thread, and even making a video, but next time, use THE SEARCH BOX.

I would start reading some posts in the development forum, and other specific topics on the various steps you will need to take. But...
First you will need to install a custom recovery, like clockwork mod(cwm) or twrp.
Second, you will need to find a ROM specific to your device, making sure to check your model number and only installing a ROM if it is intended for your devices model.
Third, flash the rom .zip in the previously installed recovery.
That's really all you need to do, but you should read how to take those steps in the threads for them and your device.

When you flash a stock firmware either from that link or (recommended) sammobile.com, its called stock for a reason it turns the firmware, recovery and kernel back to....err.....stock

You can use a recovery tool from sony to return your phone to stock. You can find the tool from sony official website, just download and install the necessary usb drivers and with original cable and internet connection you can return the phone to the latest stock rom available for the phone.
This always work. I have tried this with my lg nitro hd(P930) and Optimus 3D.
