[Q] Android 4.2.2 Missing bluetooth pop-up pin - General Questions and Answers

I am trying to connect my Sony SmartWatch to my Acer Liquid E2 Duo with Android 4.2.2(original rom, rooted).
The problem is that I don't receive the pop-up window on my phone to accept the pair. I enabled bluetooth, I can find the watch and I can connect to it. The watch then gives me the pin to check if it's the same on the phone. Normally you can than click on both devices to accept. But now only the watch has that button and the bluetooth pair only works for 2 seconds(than it is unpaired again).
What am I doing wrong? Where can I edit the settings so that my Acer also gives me the pop-up window for the pin.
I had Acer on stock rom, didn't work.
Than I installed custom rom, pop-up window came up.
Than I reverted to original rom(liked it better), the pop-up came once. I accidentally clicked no and now the pop-up window doesn't appear at all.
Please help.

[Q] Have to re-pair bluetooth every time since 4.2 update

I use tablet talk to text with my tablet over bluetooth. Before I updated to 4.2, I paired my tablet and phone once when I installed the app and never had to again. All I had to do was run the app and it would enable BT and connect automatically. Now it pops up a "pairing request" every single time. I did a clean install of stock 4.2 first and am now running CromiX, and they both do it. Is there any way I can fix this?

Smart Connect is not functioning properly on THL W3 Android 4.0.4

Hi,
I bought the SmartWatch 2 (SW2) and it arrived a week ago.
I have a THL w3 device, with Android 4.0.4 on it(built in; not a custom rom) and rooted.
When it first arrived about a week ago, I tried to connect it again and again and the SW kept displaying the SW->Smart Connect screen. the Smart Connect didn't show that popup window with a link to install the SmartWatch2 app, and even when I installed in manually there was no "edit settings" row in the Smart Connect app.
I tried to connect it to my friend's Motorola Atrix (Jelly Bean, not sure which one) and it worked, and then when I tried again on my phone it seemed to work. I was able to install some applications and even though whenever I turned the SW off and on or the Bluetooth off and on I had to unpair and pair the SW in order to connect it, not to mention that 90% of the times when I paired them there was no pairing request, the phone said it's paired, the SW got stuck on the screen "SW V phone"(connected) but they weren't actually connected.
A few days later, yesterday, I noticed that what i just described only happends when the phone is completely on and ready to use, because if I rebooted my phone and then when it turned on I emiddiatly paired them, it worked and there was a pairing request and everything. but only if I paired them before all the apps were ready, which meant that there was an app that caused the pairing to fail when that app is ready.
I used "Disable Manager"(from the Play store) to disable the Smart Connect app and then I was ablt to pair the phone and the SW properly, only now because the Smart Connect app is disabled I can't use the watch...
I hope I described what happened even though English is not my strongest language...
Summury:
My phone is not fully compatible ith the SW, and the fault is Smart Connect's.
The Motorola Atrix works perfectly with the watch. Is it because of the android version?
If you have any ideas please let me know.

Having trouble understanding, but if the problem is your device's stock rom you could look into trying a custom AOSP rom. Might aswell get something more recent than icecream sandwich. Get on kitkat. Get cyanogenmod 11 and use Gravity box with xposed modules.
Are there any custom mods for my device?
The problem is I couldn't find any custom roms for THL W3. it's not a popular device, and even though I really want a newer version(at least Jelly Bean...) I searched a bit and I didn't find anything.
Is cyanogenmod compatible with every phone? Are you sure that's the problem?

Cannot Pair Sony DualShock 4 Controller to my phone?

Hey everyone. I am running a stock, rooted OS (v 4.4.2). I have version 1.4 of the remote play app installed, and it works awesome! With the on screen controls it works great, and is very snappy.
I am running into a bunch of issues getting my DS4 to pair to the device via bluetooth.
I tried doing the native bluetooth pairing (holding share + PS on the controller, and scanning on the GS5). The device showed up, but if I tried to pair it, it would literally just sit there and never do anything.
Next, I ended up having to use SixAxisPairTool in conjunction with SixAxis Compatibility Checker (as mentioned in other threads). I used the compatibility checker to get my BT local address, and then I used the PairTool to change the master address to the one listed. When I try to pair the device with bluetooth inside the compatibility checker, it flat out fails and says no devices are connected, and to connect with usb.
Except the instructions on their website say the exact opposite - to disconnect the controller from usb and press the PS button to pair. When I stop trying to pair in the compatibility checker, I get an error saying that the maximum number of devices are connected.
So, I closed out of the compatibility checker, and opened back up the native bluetooth settings, and tried repairing again. This time the device showed up, and it is now listed as paired. But there is no light on the DS4. If I press the PS button, it does one of the following: it flashes white constantly, it flashes white once and stays lit for a few seconds and then goes off, it flashes white several times then stays on for a second.
I have unpaired the device inside the phone, and then pressed the PS button, and I get prompted with a request to pair the device. When I accept, the same thing happens. The light disappears on the back of the DS4, and nothing happens.
I tried using a joystick tester to see if it was connected and the light just didn't work properly, but there doesn't seem to be any communication between the two devices.
I would really like to avoid having to buy an OTG cable (namely because I can't seem to find a decent one except for questionably sourced ones from a reliable vendor), and really was hoping for a wireless setup.
Can anyone help a brother out here? I have had a prompt in my dock for months about a system update for my phone, but I have been hesitant to install it because I don't want to lose root, and none of the ROMs out there seem to be vanilla stock + root.
Edit:
I unpaired the controller from my phone, and opened back up the compatibility checker. Ignoring the pair button, I just started the software. Then I hit the PS button and it flashes white 2-3 times and stops. If I do this again, it will repeat. No text changes on the screen. I can do this two more times. When I attempt to do this a fifth time, I get an error message saying "Maximum number of clients already connected."

Unable to pair Bluetooth keyboard to android tablet

My tablet is Galaxy tab pro 8.4, the model number is sm-t719, Android version is 6.0.1 and I rooted my device
In the past I was using the Microsoft universal Bluetooth keyboard (the non foldable keyboard) with my tablet and i was able to pair successfully with my tablet
After that the keyboard spoilt and I bought a new keyboard which is the same model. I also was able to successfully pair with the new keyboard, but I had to return it because the built in battery is damaged and it does not charge
I just got a new keyboard which is the same model but now I am unable to pair it to my tablet. I will tell u the problem
I was able to successfully pair the Bluetooth keyboard to my windows pc. The pc detected the keyboard and it asked me to type in the pass key on the keyboard, the pass key stayed showing on my pc and it didn't go away, I typed the pass key correctly and the pairing was successful. The same thing happened when I paired with an iPhone and the pairing was successful
The problem is when I tried to pair it with my tablet. The pass key shows on the tablet, but it is going away very fast and it says pairing unsuccessful and I am not getting the chance to type in the pass key on the keyboard. If i type in a digit and press enter quickly before the pass key goes away then it will say unable to pair immediately after I press enter so it means the tablet is reading the keystrokes of the keyboard but I am unable to type in the correct pass key
Also I noticed that my tablet is not immediately detecting the keyboard. I have to press scan on the tablet a few times until the keyboard shows in available devices
I tried everything. I switched Bluetooth off then on and I even restarted the tablet. No luck. After many tries the pass key stayed showing long enough for me to successfully type in the pass key
Why did this happen to me?

Bluetooth: "couldn't connect" to Win10

Hi. In the last couple of days, I used "Bluetooth Audio Receiver" from the Microsoft store to be able to play back music from my S20 FE android 11 device at work. I often step away from my work desk with my phone in my pocket, but yesterday I wasn't able to reconnect my phone via Bluetooth when I came back. Since then I can't connect to my work and my personal PC anymore, even tho I didn't even connect to my personal PC for a while.
I'm able to unpair and pair with said Windows 10 machines, but as soon as I tap the entry in the Bluetooth menu, it says "couldn't connect". I already tried to use the reset for wifi/Mobil/Bluetooth within the android setting, but it didn't change anything.
Restarted my phone and both PCs multiple times. It feels like something in my phone hang itself. I'm still able to send files from my PC to my phone and vice versa. I'm still able to fully use my smartwatch and Bluetooth headset.
Is there anything I can do? Any ideas?
PS: My phone is rooted.
Edit1: I just deleted cache and data of the Bluetooth app and did another reset of my network settings. I now can't pair with Windows 10 anymore. It says "couldn't connect" after the pairing dialog. My Win10 Device recognizes my Android device as paired. Which means I can't even send or receive files at my phone from my Windows 10 devices.
Edit2: My headset was still paired. Is there a way to reset saved pairing and data related to that?
Edit3: I don't know why I couldn't pair with my Windows device anymore, but it works again (Didn't do anything). Still can't connect to it, but can send files again.
TLDR:
Android 11 S20 FE can't connect to multiple Windows devices anymore with the massage: "can't connect".
UnPairing and pairing again won't help
Restarting effected devices won't help.
Resetting network settings won't help.
Nobody has an idea what it could have triggered it or what I could try to do?
Any idea is much appreciated.
