Hi Everyone
My dad has a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7 (I think p3110) and he has had some lag issues. He is running stock Sammy 4.2.2. I suggested he factory reset his tablet. We did this by holding power and volume up. Wiped data /factory reset and then cache partition (it rebooted automatically). When up and running he logged into Google account but then when he opened play store it said it couldn't connect. The Internet browser would not connect. But he could send and receive emails through sock email app (!). We tried factory reset through settings app and have tried removing and readding Google account and also clearing Google services and play store caches. Nothing seems to work. Anyone any ideas please?
Have you configured your WLAN again? After factory reset you have to do this.

Problem solved. We went to my house and as soon as it connected to my wifi everything worked fine. Maybe an issue with my dad's router. Good news is that I convinced him to root his tablet!

So recently something weird is happening. When I connect to my wifi, I can go on the internet, use tweetcaster, email, everything, except the playstore app. I get the not connected/retry error. I've searched and searched and tried all the fixes like clearing cache, deleting accounts, everything. When I switch the wifi off, and connect via 3G, it all works just fine.
Any ideas?

Oh, and additional info, Play app on my Note II on the same wifi network, works perfectly.
Same Error
I'm stock and I get the same error as you do. I retry and it usually works. I also have an Acer A500 and I get the same error msg with that. I don't think it's your tablet. My wife has a Note II and I don't know if she's experiencing the same problem. She is stock also but her tablet is running a different android version. I think she's on 4.2.2.

Dont know if you tried this, but here it goes:
Remove google account, force stop play store and google services, clean cache and data from play store and google services, then reboot to recovery, clean cache and dalvik cache, fix permitions, reboot system, log in to google again, and see if it helps

Tried that now. When I'm setting up the google account, I get "Can't establish a reliable connection to the server"? I'm trying to set it up over the wifi, and as I mentioned, the Note II is connected to the same wifi and no problems.
I'm about ready to tear my hair out.
Ok, so I deleted the wifi connection, added it again, and now I have Play store working over wifi.
That was weird.
Same issue here, did you also get an update recently?
Hi all,
Just got the nexus 5 and live everything about it except one thing, the email app. I can't tell if it's exchange services or the app itself, but "unfortunately email has stopped" keeps popping up randomly and will not stop. Another wrote thing is that the so manager will not let me wipe data (screenshot). Things I tried:
*rebooting
*deleting the apk through titanium, wiping data and reinstalling
Any ideas? I really need exchange email for work and it's driving me crazy.

Seems you screwed up something with titanium so do a factory reset and flash back to stock and test it out then and see if it all works fine. After that then do some changes slowly to see if it comes back again to narrow it down?
I have this problem with my Nexus 5 as well. It's been this way since I got it. Really, really annoying. This has been an ongoing problem for a while. I wish there was a fix....

I just wiped, flashed factory image and factory reset the phone and still getting these crashes and it is still not letting me wipe data from the app manager...
Any other suggestions? Right now, I'm going to try to delete the exchange accounts but it's not even letting me delete accounts!! I'm going to try to switch to ART to see if that helps at all, and will give an update.
Any other email clients for android that support exchange?? I'm lost at this point and I really tried everything I know before posting.

This is total stock? As if factory image?
I don't think there's much you can do to fix the problem. There are a lot of people in the same boat. If you search Google, there are several posts about the same issue. Last time I checked, there's no fix.

Yeah, factory image and it still didn't work.
I just ended up flashing twrp and cataclysm ROM and that fixed it.

I'm using Touchdown (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nitrodesk.droid20.nitroid) from Nitrodesk.
Works perfect for my needs
Had battery drain issues with the stock exchange app, so I switched to Touchdown
Hope this helps for you as well
EDIT:
Just read your later post that you switched ROM
cheers
I m experiencing another issue..!!
I get couldnt sign-in error!!
Any solutions for this!!
Dont frget to press the THANK button!!!
Just an update, the new ROM solution was working for a few hours but starting to have issues again with "unfortunately email app has stopped working" errors.
I think it has to be how my exchage accounts are setup:
- One gmail account on IMAP
- 3 Exchange accounts on push notifications and sync all mails
Outside of that setup, nothing special. Anyone experiencing the same?

Now frm some hours i didnt get this error....now workin cmpltely fine!!
Thanks

One last update (unless it creeps up again). I switched the syncing of emails to date back 30 days instead of "All" and that fixed the "unfortunately email has stopped" messages completely. The HTC One email client never had that issue so I assumed that wasn't the problem but I guess the email client on this phone is a bit more sensitive.
Ok, the problem crept back up again... the error message keeps coming back, and in the app manager, the "clear data" button is greyed out so you can't even start over unless you remove all the accounts.
I would like to ask anyone that has working exchange accounts (multiple) on the native email client share their setup and the app versions etc.
So my problem lays with gmail not notifying me of new emails. No sound, no icon in status tray, nothing. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I reinstalled the ROM multiple times. Once with restoring the data and the once without restoring data. I restored a backup. I even reverted back to stock. Nothing seems to allow me to get notification of new mail. When I open the app, it shows new mail but I am never notified. Please help.

I had this problem once. Make sure that gmail sync is on under the Google settings and make sure you have app data sync on also.

Both items are on. I'm pretty stumped on this. I haven't had this happen before. I get notification for everything else except gmail.

Hi all,
When I try to turn my backup on for Google photo's there is no account to select when I turn it on so it currently isn't backing up.
I've cleared the cache and data for the app and still not working so am wondering if anyone has had the same issue and managed to resolve it?
Thanks in advance

Hello, I am using an old galaxy S4 as a slave device to setup android auto wireless. Ive rooted the device and all thats left is to add the AAgateway app from XDA labs. The problem is that I have tried logging into the xda labs app several times both with username and password and with Google and it won't let me. When I try using my username and password it says the password is invalid. But ive checked if correct several times and also changed my password twice. Still says invalid. When I try using Google, it hangs after I click on my Google account with a green background but its stuck there. Ive cleared cache. Deleted app and reinstalled also waited till next day to try logging in again with no success. Can anyone help me please? I just want to be able to download the apps on xda labs.

I've had this problem once, and it was because the WiFi network wasn't connecting me to internet, see if you can browse internet with your connection. Otherwise your password may be wrong. Did you tried to modify your account's password ?
Also, I think Google login on XDA Labs is broke because Google + is gone, but idk if they fixed it or not because I don't use Google to sign-in.
If you still didn't find the answer, consider asking there :

P.S: I've been using XDA Labs while rooted for about 3 month, and I didn't encounter any problem. So I don't think root is the problem (except if it affects your network connectivity)

I checked the internet connection and its fine. I've changed my password twice and it still says it's wrong. I check several times to make sure my password was correct so not sure why it says its wrong. Ill check the link you sent me.
