WIFI Problem

Hey people..
I have a little problem with my WiFi conection.
I have reairep my Sensation thanks to ganeshp (Thanks man!). I had to install a ROM ´cuase we couldn´t find the original one for Sensation Vodafone in Spain...I´ve installed virtuous_inquisition-v4.0.2 wich is quite good. But I can´t acces to Wi-Fi (problem I have since I installed IceCream).
Ganehp says that probably is a Hardware problem...there´s anyway to check it, or repair my WiFi conection
I ´ve flashes my boot.img as a solution people says works, reflash the ROM with and withour any wipe,...
Thanks all

If your wifi manager shows the network for a couple of seconds and then disapears use wifixmanager. Its an apk which should fix that problem upon installing the fix but requires root. If the wifi signal doesnt catch at all flash a different kernel probably sebastians kernel and it should start working. The last resort is to use another rom. I had a problem where the wifi wouldnt catch at all so using lightning 2.0 rom with sense 4.0 now with sebastian kernel. works like a charm

known issue from CM10
You have two options; read and ask at the cm10 thread or try another ROM (I'll suggest android revolution hd for simplicity and after full wiping)

[Q] wifi problems on lg p500

hello everyone, I have a rooted lg p500 im not interlay new to android i know the basics f rooting and that stuff
the problem is the wifi...I don't know exactly whats wrong but ill try to explain:
my phone is working on a AOSP 4.2.2. it a good rom but im not so fund of it...so wen i tried to change to other roms (cm9,cm10,cm10.1,pac-man ,revolution 3.30) all had the same problem....i cant connect to wifi!
what happens is when i turn wifi on and look for connection 80% i won find anything so i reboot and like i said mostly wont find available connection but if i do and get a chance to put in the password (security is WPA/WPA2 PSK) it says "connecting" then goessomething like "secure,wpa/wpa2 connection " and wont connect and then after some seconds it is "not in range".
after all that i go back and restore the AOSP system and it works fine....i really want to try out other roms so if any one knows anything please help!!!!
oh and I read some where that it might be because my baseband version is old? im reading that mine is " LGP500AT-00-V20e-VIR-AU-SEP-26-2011=0" if any one understood what i said in the above and knows a solution please !! im all ears!!!
and if it is the baseband please explain how to do it!!!or if it is another problem i would like the same

[Q] HTC Explorer cyanogenmod 9.1 wifi freeze

I've installed cyanogenmod 9.1 a couple of weeks back and it seems I have a wifi problem. At first it worked ok but lately it seems that the wifi freezes in "enabeling wifi" mode. It works fine if I reboot the phone but I'm tired of doing that evrey time I want to connect to my wifi. I've also tried something with "echo murata > /data/.cid.info...etc" that I found is used for fixing this for samsung galaxy s3, it worked at first use but then nothing.
A solution could be keeping the wifi always on but this drains the batery.
Hope someone can help me with this...Thanks in advance.

Hi, the reason for this is unknown.. but upgrading to Android 4.2.2 + seems to fix the issue. It was fixed in the kernel for those ROMs.. So only possible workaround is to upgrade to 4.3.1.. which is bugfree..
Edit .. : Now I recall that it was an issue with the wifi drivers in the kernel. If you can .. search for the wifi fix by Immortalyash .. He had done it in cm9.. as well as in minicm9. check it out.

this is a common bug in cm9 & minicm9 roms..4.3 roms don't have this issue. I'm using minicm9 with aries kernel oc & no wifi toggle issue yet..you should try aries kernel too maybe it'll solve your problem.

New problems...
So i've tried a bunch of different kernels starting with pandora r3...that didn't do anything, then i installed garuda v5 that fixed the wifi problem but made another one...that being it can't recognize the sd card anymore, i can see the second partition but sd card appears removed and when i take the card out i can still see the message sd card unexpectedly removed, so most of the apps are crashing, and also when i go to Settings->Storage i get "Settings has stopped". This also happens for Settings->Apps.
Now i've reflashed pandora but i think something from garuda remains because i still get the errors from it even with pandora installed. And i know this because every time i reboot, after the cm9 logo i get "Android is upgrading. Optimizing xx from xx apps". I've only seen this with garuda.
I wanted to try aries kernel now but cannot download it because i cannot see the card and i'm also at work so i'm not able to connect the phone to the pc and copy the kernel from recovery mode because of the restrictions on the computer....It's really messing my day...Should I do a clean install when I go home? What is the best cm version for this phone? I've also had 10.1 but this had problems with the alarm...like it only rang after i woke up and unlocked the phone...never at the hour selected...and also it drained the battery faster...Waiting for a good suggestion for this letter ...Thanks in advance!

For the sd card issue you can try multimount from the playstore
Also check the 4.3 roms as they are very stable and don't have any issues.
And before flashing any rom just do a factory reset, thats all...
Hit THANKS if I helped

not much..cm9 is build for hdpi devices & minicm9 is for mdpi devices so it flies better on our pico.
I've installed cm10.2 weekly 6 and it works fine...a bit laggy sometimes but it's stable...now i'm having trouble increasing internal memory. I tried mounts2sd but it messed things up...

You can try int2ext+.. it works fine.. just backup your apps using titanium backup or helium or similar and reflash the ROM with int2ext
Ok so finally I've managed to make everything work. First I tried to increase the memory using int2ext+ but it got stuck in cm logo loop, or I didn't wait enough I don't now, but then i reflashed using int4ext+ and it worked like a charm . So thanks everyone for the feedback and have a nice day...Cheers!
my experiences for htc explorer roms
more than 40 different rom and kernel for a long time I did try.
1-original stock rom-telephone conversations is extremely slow and sometimes do not sound or sound from the other side
2- CM7 - do not even need to comment ... very very impractical .
3- cm9 do not have any problems except for the opening of wifi for everyday use . There are original rum they use a much more streamlined and spacious
Everything was excellent but the 4- cm -10 is based on telephone interviews with purpose robot voice problem. solved the problem with different kernel installations
5- cm - 1.10 robotic voice problem ..
6 - cm 10.2 ( 4.3.1) and freezes a lot of memory problems programmer jobs Even though there is a friend that is useful for cm9 combinations up there and he's coming rom with different kernels .
Result : the value to be used as a result I have seen many times rom Trials following : Vanir AOSP (thanks 7alvi ) + sakindia aries 767 mhz oc kernel 3.5 stable and smooth with use .. If I find a single fault for making a phone call notification panel wide-screen mode by turning itself down opening.its got a lead on the issue .:good:

I don't know why you faced so much issues because for me there are no such problems..only cm9 wifi toggle issue was there before using aries kernel & ofcourse cm10.1 bluetooth toggle issue. I never faced robotic call or freezing problem on any rom.

[Q] Strange problem with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Wireless tethering

Lately, I'm experiencing a lot of problems with my Xperia L. For one, when I turn on Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, the phone just hangs for about five minutes before finally activating them. The same case applies to when I activate a wireless hotspot on my device. When I tap on 'enable wireless tethering', the phone completely hangs. This has really started getting on my nerves! :crying:
Also, when I capture multiple photos from my camera, I'm finding that some images are automatically rotated. I have to manually rotate them, which, of course, is no child's play.
Another issue that I'm facing is that the phone's gotten a bit unresponsive. It doesn't fire up applications like it previously did (not that I have many apps installed too. Just 4).
All this has got me thinking, was the Xperia L a waste of money? No firmware upgrades coupled with tons of bugs!
Should I risk it and go for a custom ROM? I really need some advice, fellow users! Please reply as soon as possible! :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

It seems like you are on Stock ROM. If you have not done it already, try do a factory reset i know its not an easy task but it may bring your happy days back. If you are not a big Fan of Sony UI you can try Many KitKat ROMS that are available updated with Latest sources 4.4.4.
Very soon we might have almost Bug Free KitKat Custom ROM's, Its your wish to Flash a Custom ROM. (Losing Warranty)

I Also have this problem with WIFI and Bluetooth. Cant switch em on. I was on 4.2.2 update...
At first WIFI & BT are fine. About 2 weeks ago it starts restarting. When I'm lucky enough to reach inside the Setting and use phone for sometime, I tried to turn on wifi... Phone hangs... then restart.. Sometimes it takes several "auto" restart before i can operate the phone. But after those, everytime I turn on WIFI.. it hang/restart. Also happen w/ bluetooth.
I tried flashing/downgrade to 4.1.2 stock rom w/ flashtool. The restarting stopped/fixed... BUT, there's no way I can turn on wifi. i keeps switched off everytime i tried.
Finally, I installed CM11 kitkat cw. Everything looks new and fine ans smooth.. BUT... still cannot switch on wifi! and bluetooth!! >.<
I dont know what to do. Is this a hardware problem?? or is there a fix/zip i can flash to fix this??
HELP.

I resolved the issue! It's going to sound extremely silly, but it worked wonders for me.
Basically, I deleted all downloaded apps that require a 'Full internet access' permission (The one with the WiFi icon), and viola! WiFi and Bluetooth work wonders now. I noticed this problem when I uninstalled Cleaner Master, and WiFi and Bluetooth jumped to life.
This is, however, a major setback. I can now download only a limited number of apps..
But hey, at least WiFi and Bluetooth work, so I've got that going, which is nice...
Any reasons why this may be happening guys?

You should perform a clean install of latest stock ftf. Looks like there's a problem with your kernel too. So flashing will put a new life to your phone. Remember to do clean install of firmware including kernel and wipe data alongwith resetting customizations.
