Just read too that it's not free - you have to activate (pay) to continue using it.
The search continues... Can it be that difficult to find a free calculator app for the SW2?? For goodness sake!!!
QuickCalc (by Sascha Löffler)
And it is even calculating right!
A common error for devs is that they don't use math right, for example:
one app: 3+3*5 = 30
the other: 3+3*5 = 18
Have seen many, even so called "scientific calc" apps, apps that don't know basic rules of math!

Just tried it out, but I have to say it's far from intuitive. You have to swipe from screen to screen simply to do an easy sum...
Still can't believe there isn't a simple, free calculator app for this watch!!!
Could you use a calculator widget and remote widget? But of a faff but you would have more choice.

I have to admit, I don't get what you're saying (how would I go about this?)
Sorry!
Install remote widget on your phone, this gives you the ability to push any of the widgets on your phone onto your watch. Find a decent calculator widget and follow the instructions on remote widget to forward it to the phone.

Well, I suppose if you can use ANY widget on your phone then it may well be worth it... But do they 'convert' nicely from the phone onto the watch?
They convert better than I thought they would at first. Very useful for music widgets, which, although not perfect are usable.

There is "Smart Calculator extension". It's free. I can't post the link apparently but just search play store for it.

Yes, just a launcher...
Its freeware, you can search on google for it, I posted some screens a while ago in the post your homescreen topic, and I posted the link for download somewhere. Can't recall where and I am at work now so I can't directly put you through...
But dont get to excited, its fun to play with, but not very useful on daily use. Widgets are not possible neither, but it is surprisingly responsive when you tap the buttons...

I also mostly use it for messaging while browsing.

Need to have a ROM that supports it, like
SynergyROM w/Multiwindow r169
I've been using it more and more. Just now drafted a Tapatalk post while looking up info in Chrome.
In the morning, I'll open Gmail and K-9 Mail in split windows on landscape. It's nice to go through the bulk morning emails.
Spotify and Facebook
Google Task Organizer and Biz Calendar
Wikipedia and Evernote
Just to name a few. It's fun to experiment with and find good matches.

The Note 2 has the same screen resolution as our S3's, therefore it really shouldn't be much different.

Hello guys! There is now a Ubuntu Theme(NOT ROM) which is made by Armando Ferreira. Thanks to him we will be able to make our phone look like an Ubuntu Phone. When Ubuntu is released for Phones only the Nexus will be able to get it but hopefully soon our phone will be able too. Now getting to the Theme. This theme will change alot of things. This includes your lock screen, and home screens. Not your notification center to be more clear. Now here are details of how you can get this.
You must download all of these apps before you begin:
TSF Launcher: http://goo.gl/SAzNP
MIUI TSF Theme: http://goo.gl/hgzAX **This theme must be side loaded. (Download Dark Theme)
TSF Pendant Widget: http://goo.gl/JKMM1
Widget Locker: http://goo.gl/JU1hf
JB+ Clock App: http://goo.gl/lgUPW
UCCW: http://goo.gl/TZgw0
MultiPicture Live Wallpaper: http://goo.gl/DlD96
Minimal Reader Pro: http://goo.gl/8lT9z
Pure Music Widget: http://goo.gl/u5HrJ
Simple Calendar Widget: http://goo.gl/scgWA
Aix Weather Widget: http://goo.gl/jtP2Y
Google Drive: http://goo.gl/CS7Nc (not really needed)
BlingBoard Social: http://goo.gl/KTs6h
UBUNTUBOSS.ZIP RESTORE FILE: http://t.co/ttGe5Kl6
After you have downloaded all of those files. The UbuntuBoss.zip you will need to extract it. You will see a folder called "sd card". Open it and move everything inside it to your internal storage. After that open widget locker and go to settings then to Backup/Restore. Press restore. If you did it correctly you will see Ubuntu Lock. Click on that. You should see the lock screen. Click on tap to restore widget. If nothing happens go to UCCW and disable hot spot settings and try again. Next you add the Clock JB widget to it. Resize it to your fit to be more comfortable in your way
You have finished the lock screen now its time for the Home Screen. Open up TSF Launcher. Swipe to the right if the menu bar is not showing up. Click on the gear and then click themes. Now you click the MIUI theme that is in there. You have to restart TSF now. Swipe to left again and click the gear again... But click settings. Go all the way down and press restart. The screen should be clear. Nothing there. If not restart again. Swipe to fingers to the right to get to the Menu Bar. Now on the home screen hold down with one finger until you see the widgets, wallpaper, apps ,etc. Click wallpaper, then live wallpaper. You should see multi live wallpaper. Go to the gallery and it should be in order in an ubuntu folder. When you click on a photo it should say u1, u2, u3, and u5. Do that in order in the homescreen. After you have done that. Take one screen(delete it) by clicking on the bottom and delete it. Do this so the wallpaper is even.
You are done! All you have to do is customize it!

I have upgraded to CM10 just a month ago. I have to get this on my phone again.
I am so used to the calendar app from my Samsung SII (E4GT) that I never really used google calendar on my phone and on my N5 it just stinks. On my tablet google calendar is fine and so are the widgets but on the phone not so much. Worst thing is not having a nice month view that lists items instead of just showing colors.
So what is a good alternative? I only use google calendar so I am not syncing with other email services and I have a shared google calendar with the wife so need to keep that in one place.
Thanks
I use Neat Calendar widget with the stock calendar, works well for me.

Where did you get Any.cal. The play store links seems down, i hadn't luck with their community either.
I signed up for their beta a while ago on the any.do website. You can try there and see if they still have it going.

At the very bottom is a let me know when it arrives. That is what I did and I got the invite later. Much later though.
Hi, friends!
I am using amazing Pimlical Advanced Calendar/PIM (I can not post the link to this app due to the rules of XDA forum) . I have use for years DateBk5 from same developer on my Palm.
Also I use Next Launcher 3D with its calendar widget.
My question is: how can I force calendar widget open Pimlical Advanced Calendar/PIM instead pf stock calendar?
The"Clear defaults" in stock calendar is greyed and I can set Pimlical Advanced Calendar/PIM as my default calendar application.
Any hint, please.

Well I was just about to suggest you try Easy Mode, there isn't anything easier/bigger then that.
Now I don't usually say things like these, but you bought your grandma the wrong phone. A flagship phablet is not for someone who finds Easy Mode confusing. Consumerism must die.
Windows 7 / 8 Launcher. Very simple.
Easier mode is the best. You need to guide her with heart. If easier mode she also can't accept. Then you need to make everything she need to use in one page.

You might root the phone and then in build.prop change screen dpi. Use nova launcher and place everything in one or two pages. Hide dock and status bar(so that she doesn't gets lost) and for battery info use battery widget reborn.
