Hi!
I'm not new user of TF300T, but I have 1 very strange problem... So, after install any kernel, I have patterned bootscreen (my pictrues are in attachment). First time when I had this, was after install Clemsync's kernel 1,7 GHz, over CleanROM Inheritance (bootloader 10.4). I fast restored stock kernel. Next week I'd installed Utner's kernel. It was perfect! 1,6GHz, fast, without problems! I used Unter while I was on JB 4.1 bootloader. Half year ago I updated bootloader to 10.6 (JB 4.2). Now I have this problem on every modified kernels (Hunds, _that etc.).
Currently I use Cyanogenmod, because there are no problems. I don't know is this problem with OC, maybe voltage. I have this problem only on bootscreen.
Please, help
I'm not able to solve it by myself .
Thanks
I don't think this screen is shown by the kernel, but by the bootloader.
If it is not caused by a hardware defect, you might be able to fix it by reflashing the stock ROM.

Yes, but on Cyanogenmod I don't have any problem... :/

It's caused by clemsyn overckocking the GPU in the kernel. I don't think it causes a problem. That kernel and ROM are really old and were not designed for the bootllader you have. You should update to the latest version of CROMi-X if you want to run cleanrom.
@sbdags
I really love your CleanROM Xenogenesis, and I use it . My english is bad, but I tried to say, that I updated bootloader half year ago. I first time I had this problem on Clemsync. I have the same problem on Xenogenesis with _that OC and Hunds. I don't have any problem on when kernel isn't OC. I use CM, because I want to eat KitKat per few days , for daily and performance and daily using, CROMX is the best for me .
Thanks for help, and work sbdags .

Im extremely frustrated...Ive been trying to OC my Tf101 for days now w/ no success. Ive tried several ROMs + kernel(s) and now Ive tried FROZN 1.0.9 because I heard they do GREAT work and the ROM is supposed to include a Guevor Kernel allowing OC, I think to 1.7.
I rooted w/ ViperMOD Prime (latest ver)
I installed CWM (5.5.0.4 I think, latest ver)
I flashed:
[ROM] FROZN 1.0.9 █Apr. 2 2012█ 9.2.2.3 █ ICS for TF █Super-Optimized█ Guevor Kernel
...but when I use the included NoFrills CPU app it will only allow me to clock to 1.000?
What am I possibly missing or not understanding? Is the a Tf101 that is simply NOT capable of OC?
ANY ideas would greatly be appreciated...I am sooo anxious to OC because everyone seems to be doing so with great success.
Thanks all.

The kernel included with frozn only goes to 1.2ghz and the default clock is 1ghz
Ics testy meh sio init.d kernel goes to 1.6 i would try that one
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA Premium HD app
ok mate...that one sounds a bit better to me for the final number, however I cant get mine to clock past 1.000 at all. Ive tried ROMs + kernel(s) and Ive tried ROMs w/ kernel included, install goes fine but when I try to OC w/ CPU app, it only goes to 1.000.
I thought I was reading someone else w/ this problem and the issue revolved around a botched recovery flash or something?...but I cant seem to find that thread again. I did try to unsuccessfully flash back to stock ASUS recovery a while back, didnt work (CWM was still present afterwards). Wonder if that is creating an issue of some kind?...although I am struggling to imagine what one would have to do w/ the other.
Thanks for the reply mate...Im willing t listen to ANY ideas at this point!
"The kernel included with frozn only goes to 1.2ghz and the default clock is 1ghz"
BTW...wanted to check on the FROZN OC kernel abilities...the latest FROZN ver sets CPU default at 1.2 and allows OC to 1.7. But anyhow, only allowed me 1.000 default and no OC.
Yeah I'm on frozen oc'd at 1.4. Your issue is weird I've never heard of that before. What happens if you select anything higher than 1.0, do you get an error or anything?
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk
I dont even get the option to go higher than 1.000.
UPDATE: apparently this inability to OC the kernel in any way is happening to those of us experiencing the CWM bootloop issue...so since the loader goes immediately to CWM it never runs the flashed kernel.
So in these forums is a thread to fix the CWM bootloop and if you follow the instructions carefully, you fix the bootloop and thus allowing the flashed kernels a chance to actually install. I chose the Roach method which you can install the code using Terminal Emulator pretty intuitively. I didnt choose the other method because I didnt want to mess w/ setting up an ADB terminal on my PC, which seemed MUCH more difficult.
So...now FINALLY
ViperMOD Prime rooted
ClockworkMOD Touch Recovery 5.8.8
FROZN 1.0.9 ROM (w/ built-in Guevor kernel @ 1.2 default) and am OCd @ 1.54 (np's at all so far, lightning fast, havent even tried 1.6 or 1.7).
Only issue so far is File Manager app crashes on startup...which isnt good because now the other file manager app I tried doesnt see my ext_SDcard...the stock File Manager did.

Overclock up to 1.6 - 1.7ghz
I just share with u how i overclock my tf101 upto 1.7ghz with stock rom....ALL ASUS APPS IS WORKING
- i root my device with ViperMod prime v5.4 (choose option 1)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1427125
- then, install rom manager from android market (to flash clockworkmod recovery). i am using standard recovery, not the touch recovery...u all can try if u want.for me its doesn't matter.
http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager
-lastly, i flash the kernel 9b(by using clockworkmod recovery)...u can get the latest kernel from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1565519
- currently, i can overclock my tf101 up to 1.7ghz with beloved stock rom..
- antutu benchmark 76++....
hopefully its helpful......enjoy your enthusiant tf101 speed...
I cant talk from experience, but Ive read at several places that ROM manager is NOT recommended to use.
How, when or why I do not know. Theres another app thats recommended for the TF, simply called "recovery installer". Its listed in the epic noob guide.
As I said, Ive only read that rommanager isnt recommended for the tf.
I've been searching here for a long time and looking at different custom ROMs but cannot find an answer. (so please be gentle on me if I missed the obvious...)
Is there a custom ROM for the TF101 which is not affected by the RR, SOD, bootloop, and all the other issues introduced in stock ICS?
Will appreciate the advice.

I have used android revolution hd since it updated to ICS and not since the first ICS ota version have I seen a random reboot and I have never had a SOD
Get a new kernel
Your solution to SODs and ROR is getting a new kernel, the best one is to my point of view GUEVOR works, the last ones are great with stock rom.

This is what you need to do. But, I would recommend either the 17c or 16b. I had a lot of SOD with the latest 19.2 kernel.
Thank you all!
I'm currently on stock .21
So confirming that what I need to do is:
Revert to an older, rootable stock ROM
Root
Then either:
Install Guevor kernel (with stock rom?)
or
Install Revoultion HD
Is this correct?
Yes, Guevor 17c is rock stable, so is the TestyMehIcs kernel. Both should do you good
ARHD on it's own (as mike tweaks the kernel) or with Guevor/testymeh is good too.

Thanks @Thing O Doom.
And is the procedure above correct?
Yes, between steps 2 and 3 though you need to make sure to install CWM recovery (I recommend Rouge XM version, as it reads internal and external SD card) this is what you will use to flash the kernel and a ROM

Yes, I forgot to mention CWM...
Will try the stock .24 when it comes out (hopefully this weekend) and if RR continues I will go Revolution HD or guevor.
I've unlocked the 4.1.1 JB bootloader and proceded to flash cm10.1
I'm under the belief that the stock kernel is out of date and I'm looking for a kernel update. Some hints in the right direction would be very helpful.

As far as I know, CM10.1 is not compatible with ASUS stock kernels. CM10.1 runs on it's own Cyanogenmod base kernel. So your choices for alternative TF300T cm10.1 kernels are:
1. Perf Kernel based on Franco by chrmhoffmann: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2182956
2. Unofficial CM10.1 by surdu with his own modified CM10.1 based kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2112369
I would recommend using the Perf Kernel based on Franco by chrmhoffmann, if you're on official cm10.1.
Oh okay thanks for the help! For some reason during the portait mode on my tablet it have a lot of lagg issues. do you think you have a solution?

So far, I haven't encountered lag issues exclusive to portrait mode. I have used CM10.1 nightly up to April 13. Then, I switched to unofficial AOKP and CM10.1 by surdu. But, due to quick battery draining issue with surdu unofficial AOKP, I went back to stock ASUS rom for a while. And, finally decided to try CROMI 4.3 and am now on CROMI 4.4.1, which are based on ASUS stock ROM and kernels.
I can't say I have seen lag issues on portrait mode during my switching of kernels and ROM. My guess is that your lag issue might be caused by a particular app or some combination of apps.
When tinkering around with GMT gesture control, with the status bars off the portrait lag disappeared. I'm not sure what the cause is :/.
I've ran the Perf kernel with CM10.1 plus the Franco app. It's a great combination. Just make sure you turn the speed down when you don't need it or it will eat up your battery pretty quick.

Hey guys,
I've got a problem. I'm addicted to flashing new roms and there is one thing that sucks so much.
RANDOM REBOOTS
Roms are running perfect with Marmite kernel, like Nexus S in ice or jelly or fire. but random reboots make me mad!
So I tested out:Jelly Shot 4.7 with Marmite Bigmem 8.6
Rasbean Jelly 6/9/13 with ""
SlimBean RC6 with ""
unofficial AOKP with ""
Parandroid with ""
How I flashed for all roms: I'm using TWRP 2.5.0.0
FULL Wipe expect SD Card
Flashing Rom Wiper Script (for 100% secureness)
Flash Rom Zip -> Gapps -> Marmite -> Reboot -> Happy for one day -> next day random reboots.
ALL THESE ROMS HAD RANDOM REBOOTS with Marmite.
No overclocking or changes with Kernel.
Its the perfect kernel but why there are these reboots?
When I use stock kernel of these roms, they arent that fast but really stable and no random reboots.
Please tell me why...

Maybe you have a low memory problem. Do any of your apps hog your memory? or do you have too many memory intensive background programs. Maybe it's just one corrupt app

Do you overclock? Another reason this might happen is when an app you restore via titanium backup (installed fresh from another rom) messed up. If your still get reboots, try to start fresh, then just restore your messages and other important data. Avoid restoring system and 3rd party apps.

No I dont overclock, I dont restore things to. Only WhatsApp and Nove Launcher. My rom flashs are all time clean. :/
Same here mate, I've flashed all those ROMs, and they are plagued by random reboots ( at least on my phone).
Flashed last week THINKINGBRIDGE and no reboots so far, ROM is also twice faster than roms (4.2.2) I've tried so far.
Maybe after flashing the kernel , fix permissions ?
Does anyone have any suggestions on what to flash to my TF700 to help with overall system lag? I've heard some people say that there's are really fast, but that's never been the case with mine.
I'm currently unlocked, rooted, running Android 4.2.2 and have the CynogenMod 10.1.3-RC2 ROM flashed using the 3.1.10-cynogenmod-g6c52142 Kernal.
