Hello XDA Users,
I want to root and install a custom ROM on my Nexus 5. Can you tell the best combination of any custom ROM and kernel both? I need a stock UI like what Cataclysm is holding. So, I really need your suggestions upon this question.

The thing to do is to try by yourself and see if xx rom suits your needs in term of features and look (take a look in the OP's also for the features list, read and looks the screenshots). The best advice about a rom and kernel will be from yourself... A suggestion from xx user will maybe not suits your needs and you'll have 20 different replies, how you can choose after that? You will be always at the same point...
And take a look here: NO Best ROM/Kernel threads.
As mentioned above we do not allow best ROM/Kernel threads, which can be seen in a sticky thread at the top of the Nexus 5 Q&A section.

People don't take kindly to new users who ask that same question, over and over again, and no you didn't post a question in the right section.
Re-read the sub forums under the main forum, there you'll find the appropiate place.
I too learned the hard way on XDA ... you're expected to spend time learning about how things work here. Do that and you'll get great responses to your thoughtful questions. Good luck.

Besides, you cant tell this one or that one... you can make a poll of the most used roms but even that wont tell you which one is the best since it's all about which one suits you.
For example, i dont like TW so i went for an AOSP based rom, LiquidSmooth in the case.
But you lose some of the note 2 unique features that maybe others use.
So this kind of questions are useless...
no need to comment here, first the OP's question is invalid, there is no Best rom, it's a matter of choice that suites your need/taste

rooted stock + xposed is the way to go
so try another. dont count on others opinions of roms, as we all have differing needs. plus, with threads like this, everyone will just list every rom. whats the point of that? anyways, these threads are not allowed on xda, and will get closed.

We do not allow best ROM/Kernel threads on XDA. The question is subjective so you should really make up your own mind. Best advice is to head over to the development section try some out and see which best suits your needs.

Im new here and im looking for a custom rom for my galaxy s2 plus GT-I9105P preferably kitkat. I know there are posts about it here but i want one which everyone agrees is the most stable and with lesser bugs.
can anyone please link me to the best one? also some instructions will be much appreciated because ive only installed a rom once...

Most people will tell you to flash different roms and decide what's best for you. As everyone will have a different opinion about what works best. Reading the last several pages of each rom thread is the best way to see what issues are being discussed. And sometimes the first post will cover any known issues.

1. This wouldn't belong in 'Development' even if you could post there.
2. First rule of XDA - Search. It's not difficult to search the ROMs and find what you're after.

As the previous member already stated, this wouldn't go in the development section anyway. Only actual development (ROMs, kernels, hacks, exploits) should ever be posted in the development section. So please never post a question there.
You'll find all ROMs for this device in our development sections, and some in our general section. I also have an index thread here:

So it's up to you to go and find them for yourself, it isn't up to anyone else to list them here for you.
