I'm thinking about picking up the wireless charger for this phone and wondering if anyone has any experience with it. I would live to know the charge time by comparison to the wall charger, is there much if a difference? Any input with someone that has experience with it would be great, thanks

I dont have the official charger but I can confirm that the Nokia DT-601 works very well and charges the N5 quickly and is quite a bit cheaper

I love wireless charging. It's just no hassle, and since I'm kind off paranoid of breaking the micro USB port on my N5 because it's really tight, it works. It's not as fast as the plug in charger that came with the phone due to the inherent inefficiencies or wireless charging, but it's still pretty quick. Depending on how low your battery is when you start charging, it would probably take 30-60min longer. But, I'm never really in a rush, and always keep my battery topped off, so I'm never in dire need for a super fast charge.
A word of caution though: STAY AWAY FROM THE TYLT VU. It has a serious issue with sporadically overheating your device. Check out these threads:

Once you go wireless, you won't go back.
I'm using my Nexus 4 Orb and it works great. It is a little slower than charging via a micro-usb cable, but if you're like me and charge overnight, it won't be an issue.

Totally my bad. Sorry OP.
I have the Nexus orb charger that works great. I had bought the new Google one too that is flat and square but I hated it so I sent it back.
I bought the zens charger lady week and I am liking it more than any others so far. Easy to line up and dim light that shows is charging.

Yeah, but they charge through the micro usb port instead of inductive charging through the battery like a touchstone.

There have been tons of phones modded to accept the inductive charge.
Most of the mods include buying a palm pre charging stone and battery cover and removing the inductive circuit from the battery cover and putting it on the receiving phone and making the right connection.
It was actually an extremely simple mod if you know anything about electronics.
dam that sucks cause if your really think about it the evo has the same backing as the epic so it wouldnt be that hard!!

Great guide but there is no way I could do this.
I did that with an EVO. The Epic looks a little harder because of where the solder points are at. I wonder if could be another spot to hook up the + to.

You're asking people a question with that tone? Good luck finding the answer alone...
BTW for the other interested and more polite members of these forums here's my answer - that's a common "issue" with the Nexus S and I found this without even searching for it... This "issue" or also called a feature is here to prolong the battery's life, to reduce rapid degradation (because they don't "like" to be charged to the maximum nor staying in the empty state).
If you don't like this "feature" try bump-charging the battery or "hack" the charging process.
Want to know how? Google it

The Nexus S does this on purpose,
to give you the technical reason why, I can't answer that. Should be something about overall battery life.

This is by design.
Samsung and Google are watching your wallet by trying to prolong your phone battery's physical life.

Because charging to 100% isn't needed and hurts the physical life of the battery.
The battery only stays at 100% for a couple seconds off the charger.
97% is close enough, those 3% wont help you.
its definitely not an "imperfection" though. Seeing as, crespo and crespo 4g users all have this.

Simply let the phone not go to sleep when charging (stay awake) and it will charge to 100%. Easy. Done.

matr1x 9.0 can truly charge to 100 or it's only digits ?

Excellent charger
I can confirm that it does indeed work with a tpu case. And it works great. Some of the comments on amazon complaining about all the beeping is really crazy as it only does it when you first place it down. Otherwise it is quiet. I have two, one for myself and the other for my wife and they both work the same way regarding the beeping.
Again highly recommend this charger and about where you place the phone to charge it is very good as you do not have to place it exactly in the same position.

This is expected behavior. It charges to 100% BUT if you remove it and put it back on when the phone has over 95% charge it will not charge until it drops below 95%. So if you let it charge it will go all the way up to 100% but if you then remove it and put it back it will not beep and the battery indicator will turn green until the battery drops below 95%.

I'd say PRECISELY because it's a commercial, they would want to make the charging part really clear. At least from the years I worked in publicity video production, the director and representatives from the ad agency and brand itself were always paying huge attention to details like those.
