Team HellKat Proudly Presents
HELLKAT for the Galaxy S III!!!!
HellKat is CM11 based with a completely redone beautiful Holo Red theme. You'll probably notice a difference between HellKat and CM nightlies (or the virgin AOSP builds) due to the LINARO 4.8 toolchain we use to compile the ROMs. HellKat was first created by DerTeufel during Jellybean and was called Hellybean. We now support several devices and with a new build server we will be able to bring this beautiful ROM to even more devices. If you have another device supported by CM you more than likely can build HellKat for your other device. We have a nice build script so that the hardest part of building HellKat is setting up Ubuntu and an Android developing environement. Checkout our sources at http://github.com/Hellybean
Here is a quick list of our differences from CM:
- RED THEMED!!!
- AWESOME RED DEVIL DROID WALLPAPER!!!
- Init.d Tweaker built into the settings menu
- LCD Density Changer built into settings
- Option to add date to status bar (Thanks Slim)
- Transparency options for notification drawer
- Transparency option for Lockscreen
- DARK System UI (Thanks Slim)
- List View Animations
- Large recents, recents color, dual pane prefs options
- options to disable bootanimation and wallpaper
- lockscreen ring battery
- Dual Panel settings
- CM Screen Security settings
- HALO
- More to come!!![/COLOR]
Things to expect in the future (because we had them in Hellybean)
- Ability to change tile colors
- HALO
- PIE (Color option included)
- Active Display
- and we'll probably grab more things as we go!
Just like the CM team.
"Your warranty is now void. We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. I've been on 4.4 for ages before finally going back to 4.3. What I can tell you is that 4.4 is pretty damn stable when compared to 4.3. You're just going to have to be used to lower battery life (a flaw existent in most AOSP ROMs).
Flash away.

SlimHue Red theme looks fantastic with this ROM.
This ROM is pretty stable but I keep losing data every now and then which has never happened to me on AOSP ROMs. A reboot fixes it until the next time it happens. Also I installed SuperSU and had root at first then all of a sudden I didn't have root, I had to go into SuperSU and clean up and reinstall. And I got boot looped every time I rebooted, installed BMS kernel and no more boot loops. Other than its a great ROM.

I flashed this ROM last night and for the most part I'm having a good experience. It is very fast. Bluetooth is working better (although I haven't tried it with the car yet).
I cannot get calendars to sync, though. That will be a deal breaker for me. I have seen that as an issue in other 4.4 threads, but am unaware of a fix. Any help would be appreciated.

I love the look of this rom...keep doin your thing....the thing i did diff. is I used https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct...=UARg4s94W1q7A7qFusGckw&bvm=bv.59568121,d.cWc for the gapps....and https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct...PEOgs1v6hJJSooXaA&sig2=0A7-KTaFXg510l8GiaQG1A for the kernel...it works great together
Flashed this on Friday, and was having random reboots on a fresh flash so I had to go back to my other ROM since I was going on a trip and needed navigation.
Decided to try it out again, so I reflashed on Sunday and it's been running just fine - must have just been a bad flash. Keep up the good work!

Already running BMS kernel but thanks.
Was running BMS kernel on the bad flash as well - like I said, was probably just a bad flash first time around.

Yeah, I said in my original post I re-flashed it and it worked fine . So wasn't a bad download, just a bad flash.
Been running it since then with minimal problems. A few random hot reboots, but nothing really to complain about.
Op updated!!!!

Flashed it last night - so far so good! Last build had a weird bug where if there was any statusbar change (like a download), it would flash like the whole statusbar was being refreshed. Looks like it's fixed in the 20140228 build though! Love the network up/down speed addition as well! Keep up the good work!

P A C man ALL IN 1
Description
After months of work, the long awaited PACman 4.2 rom is ready for public released. This is still work in progress WIP and there are many missing parts. Though the rom is rock stable for average users. We are working on it daily to fill the missing parts.
Now what is PACman? The idea was to remove the need for a hunt of rom and cure flasholicsm by providing everything xda has in rom development in a single bloat free rock stable rom. This is the FIRST rom of its kind with a hybrid framework consisting on cm10.1, AOKP and AOSPA. What makes PACman unique is this perfect blend of all of these. Be informed PACman is not a "git cherry-pick blahblah yeee i am a dev donatezzz me" rom. It took a LOT of work of thinking behind to merge the frameworks in the right order.

Bugs & PAC FAQ
Bugs
PAPrefs is currently experiencing issues with hdpi devices, this has been reported to the PA team. Check this post for the workaround.
Some functions of Rom Control do not work, one example is Signal/WiFi custom colours.
PACman FAQ
PIE FAQ
Q. What is PIE?
A. PIE is a new way to interact with your notifications. It provides easy gesture based interaction with all your system information without taking up valuable screen space. PIE is what you see in this image.
Q. How do I access Pie?
A. Swipe your finger from the pie gravity edge (default is the bottom) toward the center of your screen. While keeping your finger on the screen, drag your finger to the desired button and release to click.
Q. My PIE doesn't look like the ones in the screenshots. I don't see the Clock or notifications.
A. Notifications work either through the status bar or PIE. If the status bar is enabled, PIE reverts to just the softkeys. To enable the full PIE experience, enable Expanded Desktop by going to Settings -> System -> Power Menu -> Expanded Desktop (Status bar hidden). Access the power menu and turn Expanded Desktop on.
Q. How do I change PIE colors?
A. Go to Settings -> Hybrid Properties -> Interface and change the Navigation bar color.
Q. Buttons or keyboard rows near the edge of my screen are nonresponsive.
A. PIE's trigger area overlay is covering the edge of your screen. Change either the Trigger Area or Pie Gravity in Settings -> System -> PIE Settings.
Q. I don't like PIE, how do I turn it off?
A. To disable PIE set Trigger Area to None in Settings -> System -> Pie Settings. Remember to disable Expanded Desktop to turn status bar on again.
ROM FAQ
Q.Do I need to do a full wipe before installing this ROM?
A. Unless coming from a previous version of PACman it is highly recommended to do a full wipe before installing. This includes coming from ParanoidAndroid ROMs.
Q.What do the settings in Hybrid Properties do?
A. ParanoidAndroid has an extensive guide to the settings at this thread: [GUIDE][PARANOIDANDROID] A Complete Compendium on ParanoidPreferences [PA-Settings] Please do not post questions related to PA Settings in this thread, they are not ROM specific and all we'll do is point you to that thread.
Q.How do I turn on the Navigation Bar??
A.To enable the NavBar open Hybrid Properties, swipe the screen to the right to peek through to the menu.
Select Interface, now set your desired NavBar size with the slider.
Q.Something isn't working. What do I do?
A. First, make sure you are running the latest stable version. For i9100 users, try using the latest Dorimax kernel, for i777 users stick with the CM kernel provided. That should solve half the problems. If it persists, backup data using Titanium and do a full wipe reinstall. If the problem persists, report what it is and what triggers it so the dev can duplicate it.
A BIG thank you to IconRunner for putting together the FAQ!! :good:

IMPORTANT! READ BEFORE FLASHING THIS RELEASE!
1. This ROM will wipe data due to different partitioning. The device would reboot while flashing and resume again.
2. Once on this ROM, the most effective way of going back to any other ROM would be to repartition from Odin.
3. While converting the filesystem, your efs that has your IMEI is backed up to /emmc/backup/efs. Keep a backup on your PC just in case.
4. Incase if you don't get a network signal, check if your IMEI and Baseband are proper. If not, go back to stock and try again.
5. Do NOT use Odin to flash Modems. Due to different partitions, Odin will screw up your existing MTD setup.

Just flash it. It really cool. Some lag stil there but thats ok. One question how to disable halo?
Go to setting and then system I think
You dont like Halo ??
The lag are present in the settings and I don't know why because when I use any others app I don't have any lag at all

No I like it its really fast and cool. Now I know how to move or delete halo by double tap it. I think it lag because it haven't over clocked yet.

This ROM is based on the Android Open Kang Project (AOKP). The idea to start a ROM based off AOKP with added features for us was started out of curiosity and boredom. We started compiling ROMs for personal use and later started sharing them. After sharing it with a few people, we decided to take it a step further and fine tune the way we do things. Since then, is been nothing but fun and a true learning experience for all of us involved. We've received high praise from not only users but fellow developers of other ROMs that enjoy seeing things done the right way. Our 4.2.2 version made it onto various devices to include the HTC One, Galaxy Nexus, HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO LTE, Nexus 4 and some other devices. We hope to do the same with our 4.3 version.
"Give credit and thanks where is due!" That's something that has fuel the way we do things! With that said, we would like to go ahead and credit those individuals and groups that have made this ROM possible with their original code and contributions to the Android community.....
| AOKP / Team Kang | CyanogenMod | Paranoidandroid | Preludedrew | JMZtaylor | iBlowpot |ChaOS Team | Liquidsmooth |
| CarbonROM | Rohan32 | LorDClockaN | Dastin1015 | Bajee11 | SlimROMs | Daxxmax | Beerbong | Sammyycakes | Team BAMF | Xplodwild |
Believe it or not, we are human and we do forget things. If we have left someone out of the credit/thanks list, just PM us and we'll gladly add on to the list.

This was my favorite ROM on my OG RAZR, before development stopped. Can't wait to peep it on the Nexus 7. Happy days
My god, this ROM looks beautiful! Any plans to build using 4.4?

It may or may not be in the works ?
System density is too small on install, all interface is tidy, very small, until now i cannot revert somehow to stock from hybrid settings.
UI mode change seems to not work, full tablet UI isn't applied, also DPI groups doesn't work.
[Edited] Reboot doesn't fix my problems.
[Edited again] With some restarts seems that those things are working. Unfortunately i cannot find the correct dpi for system and apps, to not display that white line under the notifications. A ratio should be kept somehow but i cannot find it. The problem exist also on other rom variations (gnexus).
I think i found the solution. The ideea is to keep ALWAYS navbar height to the default height 48dp. To make it smaller optionfrom hybrid settings should be used.
Funny thing. Reboot menu is huge lol.

I had these issues as well, and when I tried to use the 320 density all went good except after a reboot it stayed on a bootloop
Also does this have tablet ui? in hybrid I tried but nothing changed, that's why I did the reboot(giant) that let me to the bootloop.

both my tester and I have played around with hybrid and it seems to be working fine. ill double check to be sure.
I am having the same issues as above. Before Flashing, I used Wugfresh toolkit to flash stock + unroot. Rooted device again, full wipe, and flashed from TWRP. Tablet UI makes no change, and no matter what changes I make to density or DPI, it doesn't seem to make a difference. I have a small area of my home screen that I can use, and the reset is unusable.
I'll be patiently waiting the next update. I love all the customization that DU has to offer.
If you have not noticed or are looking for a download; our site is currently having issues. the server crashed and we're working with the host to figure it out. Sorry for the delay.
Before I did a reboot which is when I noticed, I changed both apps and interface dpi to 280.
On my honest opinion, the default density is way too small.

Team HellKat Proudly Presents
HELLKAT for the Galaxy Note II (N7100, t0lte)!!!!
Checkout our sources at https://github.com/Hellybean/android
- DARK System UI (Thanks Slim)

- Options to disable bootanimation and wallpaper
- Lockscreen ring battery
- Dual Panel settings
- CM Screen Security settings
- Ability to change tile colors and transparency
- NavBar Dimensions
- Movable Sizable Halo windows
- swipe anywhere on notification panel to switch views
- BatteryBar

"Your warranty is now void. We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM before flashing it! I have been uploading builds just no time to update op or publicize, Don't think many of you have noticed. I had a friend donate a real build server to me and I have been getting it setup for us to use us the HellDev team. DerTeufel uses XDA as his build server and its been down like 8 weeks. I should have time in the next few days to update OP's but look for new builds, the alpha folder there in for t0lte is hidden, I will move them to root of hellkat dir. But I need some sleep. Expect a new cm11 in the am though. It is syncing now.
I have art compatible gapps why aren't I able to enable art?

Working on New builds tonight will have everything listed in re-done OP. All the Holo Blue should be gone with this one please let me know if something was missed.

My guess would be the gapps your using. I have been using the same ones for over a month no issues. I had gapps linked in OP but then get to many questions about newer Gapps and other packages. So I stopped recommending them but look here. I use gapps-kk-20131111-artcompatible.zip without issues.

I had the "messaging has stopped" error with the latest gapps in the omni thread & with the tiny gapps.
So now I will try your suggestion and report back.
It's typical that I tested everything else but the messaging. Only discovered it by mistake when trying to verify WhatsApp. 2 hours getting it just how I like it only to get kicked in the balls by that! Lol. Reverted backup rom to come on here to look for any solution.

Ok so I tried the gapps suggested and I still get "messaging has stopped" error.
I tried with TWRP & Philz (latest) each time I use zoot's wipe scripts and do a mega wipe.
Install rom (hellkat 15/12/13)
Install gapps
Reboot
Once I get passed all the signing in I tried messaging app and error.
I know the gapps work with both Omni based and Cyanogen based roms, so has something gone wrong when you packed it? Scripts or whatnot... I'm no Dev so forgive me if I am completely wrong.
I just want to help out, as everything else about hellkat is awesome.... The red theme just completes it's awesomeness.

This rom is really smooth but the lockscreen is buggy.
Some times I need to lock and unlock the phone 3 or 4 times before it responds to my touch.
At work so can't do a log cat at the moment.
XT1032 16gig rooted and unlocked, coming from beanstalk and flashing using cwm with a full wipe.

Yeah that should be easy, just decompile SystemUI.apk and go to res/drawables-xhdpi i think, you will find the icons there, change them and compile back.

EASY!! Lol I've never decompiled an .apk in my life but saying that I had never used fast boot till 2 days before I got my moto g, so I will look into it.
Would the setting to change the unlock ring be found there to?
