1. This ROM will wipe data due to different partitioning. The device would reboot while flashing and resume again.
2. Once on this ROM, the most effective way of going back to any other ROM would be to repartition from Odin.
3. While converting the filesystem, your efs that has your IMEI is backed up to /emmc/backup/efs. Keep a backup on your PC just in case.
4. Incase if you don't get a network signal, check if your IMEI and Baseband are proper. If not, go back to stock and try again.
5. Do NOT use Odin to flash Modems. Due to different partitions, Odin will screw up your existing MTD setup.

Know issues:
For those who cannot find their previous files, because CM based rom will target the sdcard storage to use root/0/ directory.
So normally all the files besides the root/0/ directory will not be shown on the file explorer.
To solve this, you will need a file browser that has ROOT capability, eg. Root Explorer
then go to mnt/shell/emulated/ all your file should be here.
Now move all the files into mnt/shell/emulated/0/ folder.
Should solve the problem.
Somtime Crackling loudspeaker when balancing Deliver in nooz
the reason why it makes a cracking sound after sound stops is because the DSP is making more vibrations in the speaker, when audio stops android will force speaker to mute alltogether making all vibrations stop at once. The more the vibrations the louder the crackle. Why would you want to use DSP for speaker anyways? it's not like you are gonna get a high quality audio rom it. Best to leave it like normal
Privacy guard IS working?
after enabling privacy guard in security settings
you have to switch to settings>apps and then choose to enable or disable each app individually.
I'm sure nobody would want to tick every single app, that would almost be the same as enabling airplane mode.

Well, you respectfully mentioned the team in the OP (Well it was a copy and paste, but still) and I got the notification.

Excellent Build 7. Fast, smooth and rock solid. I like the fact that you were willing to maintain this thread for JB 4.3 CM 10.2 KANGS. Its also great that the roms are parrallel released, one for the FLO and one for the Grouper. I have both models.
I only ran into one simple issue which has nothing to do with your ROM and would like to see this as an option until CyanogenMOD has a fix for the grouper model. In settings, performance, fastboot ticked does not work for the grouper model only the flo for now but lets wait to see if this gets fixed for grouper.
As another poster said previously I had to actually reboot 3-4 times until it finally got past the Boot Animation screen.
Thanks Again for your great effort and work and mostly thank you for sharing your roms!!

Ah i dont know what's with the booting. I'll check into it
I dirty flashed over a straight cm build and it booted fine.
When i clean flashed, i had trouble booting as you mentioned.
Anyway, i made a clean flash work.
Flash the rom, just the rom zip, nothing else. Let it boot in. It will. No issues.
Next reboot to recovery and flash gapps and whatever zips you want. Wipe caches. Reboot, it will boot fine. Set up your google account then.

Sorry just noticed your edit. I haven't added any custom toolchains,YET. This is built using the default CyanogenMod toolchain. I ll work on the tool chains this weekend. This will hopefully make the ROM smoother.

HellKat is CM11 based with a completely redone beautiful Holo Red theme. You'll probably notice a difference between HellKat and CM nightlies (or the virgin AOSP builds) due to the LINARO 4.8 toolchain we use to compile the ROMs. HellKat was first created by DerTeufel during Jellybean and was called Hellybean. We now support several devices and with a new build server we will be able to bring this beautiful ROM to even more devices. If you have another device supported by CM you more than likely can build HellKat for your other device. I've been on 4.4 for ages before finally going back to 4.3. What I can tell you is that 4.4 is pretty damn stable when compared to 4.3. You're just going to have to be used to lower battery life (a flaw existent in most AOSP ROMs).

SlimHue Red theme looks fantastic with this ROM.
This ROM is pretty stable but I keep losing data every now and then which has never happened to me on AOSP ROMs. A reboot fixes it until the next time it happens. Also I installed SuperSU and had root at first then all of a sudden I didn't have root, I had to go into SuperSU and clean up and reinstall. And I got boot looped every time I rebooted, installed BMS kernel and no more boot loops. Other than its a great ROM.

Yeah i always stuck with 4.3 and i was just thinking about going to 4,4 to try it out.

I flashed this ROM last night and for the most part I'm having a good experience. It is very fast. Bluetooth is working better (although I haven't tried it with the car yet).
I cannot get calendars to sync, though. That will be a deal breaker for me. I have seen that as an issue in other 4.4 threads, but am unaware of a fix. Any help would be appreciated.

I couldn't get calendar to sync either, downloaded Google calendar from the play store and it syncs fine.

Installation instructions
1. Download ROM
2. Reboot into recovery.
3. Please back up your ROM before you begin!
4. Wipe data/factory reset / format system, data, cache
5. Flash the ROM
6. Flash GAPPS (Download 4.4 GAPPs from here)
7. Reboot
8. Let it sit a while.
9. Enjoy HellKat

I love the look of this rom...keep doin your thing....the thing i did diff. is I used https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct...=UARg4s94W1q7A7qFusGckw&bvm=bv.59568121,d.cWc for the gapps....and https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct...PEOgs1v6hJJSooXaA&sig2=0A7-KTaFXg510l8GiaQG1A for the kernel...it works great together

Flashed this on Friday, and was having random reboots on a fresh flash so I had to go back to my other ROM since I was going on a trip and needed navigation.
Decided to try it out again, so I reflashed on Sunday and it's been running just fine - must have just been a bad flash. Keep up the good work!

u should try this kernel with hellkat...maybe it will help u...or u can try (if u didnt ) this wipping the data/reset, cashe, and dalivk after installing the rom

Already running BMS kernel but thanks.
Was running BMS kernel on the bad flash as well - like I said, was probably just a bad flash first time around.

Yeah, I said in my original post I re-flashed it and it worked fine . So wasn't a bad download, just a bad flash.
Been running it since then with minimal problems. A few random hot reboots, but nothing really to complain about.

Flashed it last night - so far so good! Last build had a weird bug where if there was any statusbar change (like a download), it would flash like the whole statusbar was being refreshed. Looks like it's fixed in the 20140228 build though! Love the network up/down speed addition as well! Keep up the good work!
