Hello guys! I'd like you to present my newest mobile app! It's called intoLeague. It's a free mobile app that provides information about live League of Legends games in almost any region. Just search for a summoner and you can see all the information about the match he is playing: champion selections, premade summoners, current leagues, runes, masteries...and more information we'll be adding in the future! Here are two screenshots for you to check them out.

For those who have an iOs device, the app is ready for that OS already, but I still don't have the money to pay for the developer license, as soon as I get it it'll be available for iOs as well. For WP users, I'll release it very shortly (at the end of January probably when I finish my exams).
The backend (the connection to the LoL servers) is still a little bit unstable, I've been monitoring it for some weeks with few people and everything went OK, but I'll still be monitoring it closely while you use it so that everything works properly.
For those who are curious, the app is built using HTML5, CSS3 and JS, compiled using phonegap. The backend is made in Java using the Play framework. If you have any question, feel free to ask it here!
Please spread the word! I'd be truly, truly appreciated
You can download it at intoleague.com

Hey all,
I just wanted to announce I've released a new app on the Android Market. It's called Game Rankings. The basic idea is it allows you to keep track of wins and losses of various games with your buddies and develop a leaderboard to show how well everyone has been doing. It uses the ELO ranking system made popular by chess tournaments, and it works for any one-v-one or team-v-team game or sport. We've been using an earlier build of this at my work to keep track of our ping-pong games, and it's been working well enough that I decided to release it publicly.
Right now it's completely free and open source. In the future I'll be adding a server-side component to allow users to use the same groups across multiple devices. Unfortunately I'll have to charge for that feature to cover server costs, but off-line groups will remain free. It will just be an in-app purchase to convert an off-line group into an online group.
The current version supports Android 2.1 and above, and is also optimized for tablets and GoogleTV (when v2 goes public). Online groups, when implemented, will require 2.2+ (for C2DM).

I'd love to hear some of your feedback. Either comment here or put an issue on the Google Code page.
Thanks
Hi
A bit about me:
I've just started uni to do software engineering and after the first week of "bonding" and stuff, we've been put into groups of 6 to develop an android app and market it. We're students of the Preston campus of the university of central Lancashire aged 18. My group has next to no programming experience, with only me having done anything before although it's mostly been python, I also did some C++.
I've been on XDA for a few years, since I got my first android (a HTC Desire HD, now on a galaxy note) and have mostly been a lurker, not really saying a huge amount because I don't want to get in the way of developers and annoy people, but also because I don't know a huge amount about android, although I have provided some logcats and advice where I knew the answer and could help. I often also use alpha or beta releases as a daily driver as I just text a little and love fiddling with the android operating system.
Our task:
Our first task as a group is to create a android based quiz-type app that will eventually double up as a GPS located treasure hunt app. We have to build this in appinventor as few of us know a programming language and it's a good introduction in how a program is built up and the logic behind it. The app is built up over a few weeks, as we learn how to do different things. It starts as a quiz app with hard coded questions, then we have to develop it into a quiz app that uses a server to get questions and finally into a treasure hunt that uses GPS locations and questions to lead us around the city of Preston to get points.
All throughout the 4 weeks we have to do it, we gain points which transfer into the grade we will get for this module of the course.
The catch:
During these 4 weeks, we have to market our app and our brand, to try "sell" our app and get it out there. As I'm the programmer of the group, mainly building the app, I'm not so involved in this process but I thought I'd ask on here for feedback and to ask you to help us out.
What I'm asking:
So, please will you go follow us on twitter and retweet us, spread the word on facebook about us and our app and (when it finally gets put up) view our "viral" YouTube video.
Go to our website if you want to download our app and have a look, any feedback would be fantastic, thanks. It won't be up for a few days, but if you can please follow us on twitter and facebook for now and when it's uploaded we'll update everyone.

Hi. I intern at a software company called AltEgo. As of late, we've been making apps for League of Legends. Our newest app is LoL Brain. It basically compiles various statistics about yourself and then lets your compare them to other summoners based on champion, role, tier, division, etc. Apart from statistics comparison, it also stores your full match history from when you started using the app. And just like with the LoL client, you can check out the basic stats and match history of other summoners. I've actually found this app to be quite useful. I often work with the lead developer for the app so I know this app will be going places. If you want to check it out, you can grab the latest build off the Google Play Store (play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.altego.rainman). The app is currently in alpha so expect bugs to be fixed and updates to be made. You can keep up to date with the app by checking out our blog (which is run by me) (lolbrain.wordpress.com) or by visiting our website (altego.com). Feedback is always really helpful so anything you guys have to say about the app would be great.

Hey guys, just wanted to make mention of my word game app, MoWo (short for More Words). It's basically a simple, minimalistic word game I made in a month based on a custom-made game engine. In single player mode, you can play against a timer or without a timer (endlessly), and in multiplayer mode you can play against friends/strangers. It supports Facebook integration as well as a custom username login service.
Now, why not integrate with Google Play Games Services? One word: multiplatform. I plan on releasing this game on iOS (and Windows Phone?) as well so using G+ Games/Login would not suffice due to iOS's lack of Google+ multiplayer support. So to future-proof my game, I use Facebook and a username login. People have complained about this but I'm sure they won't be when they're able to play against their iOS friends.
The game is free to download, no ads, and only one cosmetic (unhindering) IAP to unlock more letter colors, which can be unlocked through regular gameplay anyway.

I'm always updating the app to fix any unforeseen bugs or add any little cosmetic features, so if there's anything wrong or feel needs to be improved, just shoot me an email at [email protected].

WowBulletin - Beta testing starts for my new app
World of Warcraft has been a major presence through my life - taught me many things and I couldn't be happier to have played it for a long time. Blizzard games has also been a huge part of my life since Warcraft II - Tides of Darkness, and I've devoted more time playing these games than doing whatever other kids were doing while growing up.
The problem that I tried to solve was very simple: I couldn't find any mobile-oriented and easy way to read news about my favorite online game. MMO-Champion being the biggest and most popular website for all-Blizzard related news and they don't have a mobile app (well they do, but it's SO terribad that I can't even consider it an app).
I decided to build an app that will help the millions of players to browse news articles, blue posts etc without having to deal with a website that isn't mobile optimized.
The decision to work on this was also to work on something different, outside any Root related tools, which allowed me to try new APIs, new design choices, and made me think out of the box.
I know this app isn't something for the majority of users that follow me, but nevertheless I would like to hear feedback from anyone, WoW user or not.
I pushed the app to the BETA channel couple hours ago and you can try it now, completely for free (I'll have some premium functions for the final release). The app isn't finished, I'd say it's about 85% done, and it will have bugs. Although I had a couple users who been using it and reported some ideas/bugs it WILL break sometimes.
If you want to help or just check it out you have to:
1 - Join https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/107239563570541693646
2 - Apply for testing: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.franco.newsforthewarcrafter
3 - ???
4 - Download it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.franco.newsforthewarcrafter
I'm pretty happy about what I achieved so far, it's been tricky to come up with something like this without an API, but it's been tremendously fun. So fun that I think I never coded something in such short time with the amount of complexity involved.
The icon/banner/promo banner are placeholders, I'll have proper graphics for the full release.
I'll leave you with some screenshots, hope to see you helping me BETA test the **** out of it
