Init.d are scripts that can run on boot. You can create your own Init.d script also. There are several tutorials on xda for that search it. And to use it first you muse check whether Init.d is enabled in your rom
To check that use universal Init.d enabler app from playstore and check it if it is not enabled enable it using the same app

The last time i used a supercharger script it used init.d for some functions. So probably you want to have init.d enabled. If i'm right some functions were also wrapped in a service so if you don't have init.d you could install the service to gain some functionality.

Hope you can tweak that rom manager properly which you're planning since Rom Manager (the app) and other rom installers don't work properly on some devices.

Can anyone think of anything else to add to the first release I'm thinking of a silent app installer from the /sdcard/apps folder what do you think?

lets see, what this will be... I hope something really good.
I would like also to see a feature, that removes unwanted apps completely, with mass removing and presettings.. like remove all google apps but not market or all apps but not stock apps and so on.

I could do mass remove of apps from the /data/app by running
rm /data/app/*.apk
But i dont fancy doing mass removal from the system partition

You can zipalign by adding that init.d script in system/etc/init.d
Plz be sure that your kernel supports init.d..
If not, flash NS-init.d-installer.zip in this post.

I have it installed already via pimp my rom, the thing is, in the Aroma installer, where you toggle the tweaks you want, it tells me to activate it somehow from the system, and that is what got me confused. It's a shame I cannot post it in the correct forum because I registered a week ago and don't have 10 posts yet.:silly:
read page 4 of the original pimp my andro thread... they are talking about the activation...

Q. How to use extra modules provided
Best way is to use init.d script to load them on boot.
e.g If you want to use the NTFS file system module. You have to first place the ntfs.ko module provided in /system/lib/modules. Then you need to create an init.d script in /system/etc/init.d with any name say 99modules with following code
Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
insmod /system/lib/modules/ntfs.ko
Next you need to give that file all permissions and reboot the phone and you are done!
P.S: Loading external modules affects battery life of the phone.
I can't understand it please help me (can't file, can't execute, directory bla bla bla) Help

Why you want a extra module?
For init.d scripts to work the kernel must support it...
