Hey guys im having trouble setting up my xoom for txt messaging, i have eos jellybean umt_everest nightly 101 installed and the sms_mms_sip mod installed too but i still cant txt, im using a 3uk network pay and go simcard, i can receive them but its just not letting me send them, any1 have any ideas?
With the mod you have, I stall gosms pro from the market, you then will be able to send / receive SMS plus ussd calls successfully. I had the same issue, and this app somehow worked it out.

Few bugs to mention:
1- had a force close 2 minutes into the apps. Cleared data and force stop and it seems to be fine
2- tried video calling my friend and for some reason it didn't connect and I wasn't able to exit video calling.
Other than that it works fine

Anyone else notice it turns on mobile data when you are on wifi? So then you have both radios on, you have to restart phone to turn off mobile data but it comes back spoon as you get a message...dumb
They are gonna have to work on the speed takes forever to open up

Seems like a pre release imo, can't send mms, turns on 3g/4g when on wifi and won't turn it off, slow loading, FC for some, emoji don't work?
This was extracted from the factory image of the Nexus 5. I haven't had a single FC, on PA 4.3. I haven't tried MMS yet.

Yes, it's working fine for me (in Holland). Didn't encounter any problems this far. Only thing is that Handcent still handles incoming SMS-notification but think this is due to my settings.
I just set up my n5 earlier today and I'm not receiving any text messages or MMS at all. I'm on Att . has anyone had this issue or have a fix for it?

Yup. Called AT&T, all setting were fine, so I downloaded Textra SMS and everything works now. It's not a solution to the Hangouts issue, but it's getting it done for now.
i have a problem with MMS in hangout app, friend of mine sent me a multiple pictures but when i click on the photo to go in the full screen it only open the last picture he sent to me

Couple of days ago I have installed the Sultan XDA ROM based on CM13 and Android 6.0.1 and since this time I am experiencing a strange problem with the Facebook messenger and couple of more apps. I can't send messages to anyone using the mobile data, I can only receive and when I am in the main menu it shows the connecting notification but nothing more. This is actually happening on other apps as well like Viber. Initially I thought it is because of some lack of permissions but then I have granted everything possible to the messenger and I still can't chat with my friends over the mobile networks. When I switch to Wi-Fi it works just fine. Anyone else experiencing such a problem? I will be glad for any advices. My phone is One plus One.
[SOLUTION] Check your APN settings and change the used APN. It appears that the ROM has chosen different than the default APN and probably on it the Internet traffic was filtered.
Using a note 5 with 6.0.1 and mms over wifi just doesn't work.
Looking for a good texting/SMS app that allows mms over wifi to work consistently. Currently use Google messenger but I find that mms are sent or recieved very consistently when I'm connected to wifi. Any suggestions?
Don't want to use what's app or something where the other person needs it as well.

A quick Google search shows that the app Textra has this option. It's a popular texting app.
Your carrier ahs to support MMS over Wi-Fi too I believe.
