Hi , tried installing it, I m new to playn with android setup, When I plug in my device and try to install the adbinstaller it says incorrect driver .. I can't do anything beyond this as this is the basic step .. ( I m on win8 ) I googled for solution the entire night with hardly any luck .. I aint getn ahead of the 1st step .. What's the solution .. Can u gimme step by step instructions , mate help needed desperately .. Cheers

Hey Bro. I know I've taken a lot of time in responding cuz' I was really busy anyways this is for the one with the cam in the center.

Bro Make Sure USB Debugging is enabled to do so go to Settings > Developer > USB Debugging > Enable Debugging.

1 > Download the attached file from HERE , extract it to a folder using any .zip manager, for example 7-Zip.
2 > Connect Phone to USB.
3 > Execute "RUNME.bat" from the extracted folder.
4 > Follow the instructions in the window.
5 > The phone will be rebooted, after reboot you will have Superuser app and your phone is rooted!

Did you follow the steps properly ? If yes then your phone should be rooted . I think its not highlighted because your phone drivers are not installed properly on your version of windows . Try installing the drivers again . Please note - this mod works only with windows xp . New rooting methods coming soon ...!!!

I dont have this phone so i dont have the drivers !!!! Dont you have a driver cd which came with your phone ? And pm me this new rooting method which you are talking about . I will add it to the first page of the thread .

This is indeed helpful.
But without drivers we cant carry out this process.
If possible kindly provide some link to the drivers as they are the MOST important aspect of Android development

First of alll i am sorry for my bad english...
I have a Karbonn A1 device non rooted....with stock rom and stock recovery..
But Few days ago I got all software such as the rom flashing tool i.e."Common Downloader" and also the stock rom files such as recovery.img, userdata.img, system.img etc. I also downloaded stock rom files of Sony Ericsson W8..... so while installing stock rom on my Karbonn A1... I replaced Karbonn's system.img with Xperia w8's system.img..... while installing at 91% it showed "download fail"..... and my device restarts...
Now my device has started but system force closes after every 2 seconds.... When I think to again install the stock rom back.... My computer does not showing COM Port of my device... also my stock recovery is working..... So Pls pls pls ps Help If any one knows how to solve this problem.....

STEPS:
1.download the files to corresponding devices.( PC to computer and apk to phone)
2.Extract the pc component.
3.Install the apk file.
4.Ensure the usb Debugging is on.
5.connect the phone via USB
6.open the 'android tool' from the pc component.
7.USB tunnel app will open on its own.
8.now select the device and click connect.

Problem with Custom ROM for Micromax A110
Hi,
I have MicroMax A110 with me. I had tried to Install the custom ROM Radeon on it and was successful in installing it too. But, after Installation, everything was working fine other than the fact that the WIFI stopped working. I actually had to restore back to my earlier ROM from Backup.
Tried to post the comment on that ROM page. But was denied rights as I am a new user to XDA forums.

Make sure you have selected USB debugging.. DOnt click on USB storage or anything..Just connect.to PC ...then start software ... refresh list of devices...You will get it..

We made it ! We have ported MIUI to our Smartphone Pomp C6. We are just 5 Betatester´s. Not much Bugs. Very stable !

1. Backmicrophone does not work ( working on that )
2. Homebutton does not work ( we are working on that )
3. No NFC Support ! NFC does not work ! ( we are working on that )
We try to find more Bugs ! It is very stable ! But still BETA
Its a very stable Version of MIUI !

Its easy.
search for latest version "MTK Droid Tools" + latest SP Flash Tools and download it.
start Mtk Droid Tools and connect your fully started Phone. Let it recognize and collect all data
Click on "Blocks Map"
Click on "Create scatter File"
save this File to your MTK Droid Folder
Disconnect your phone now
Download this File here: http://www.sendspace.com/file/l71cis
Open SP flash Tool
Click on Scatter loading
load your previous saved scatter file
in lower window select only "RECOVERY" all other don't be need selected.
click on RECOVERY and choose the downloaded file.
You should now see in the lower window only the Recovery selcted with the path to your recovery file.
Press F9 or click on Download
@ Download Warning press "Yes"
Connect Your Phone to your USB Cable an wait for the green Circle
if this appear you now have a CWM recovery on you Phone.
If you wanna boot in Recovery Shut down your Phone and start it with Pressed Vol - and Power Button, wait for the Pomp Logo and release Buttons
Now you can Flash the New Miui Rom

U need to Download "USB VCOM Driver MT6589"
when it's installed SP Tool should recognize your Phone.
If you wanna do a Backup use Mtk Droid Tools.

after a day of digging i found this tutorial for the custom recovery, after that you can just put the MUIU rom onto your device and run it from the recovery screen:

This Method Is For Rooting Lyf Water 7 i.e LS-5504
#Big Thanks To XDA and ME
Proceed At Your Own Risk I m Not Responsible For Any Damage To your Phone
To Begin Root Process First : Enable USB Debugging In Developer Options In Settings
*If U Dont see Developer Options Then Goto About Device In Settings Then Tap On Build No. 7 Times
Now Follow Instructions:-
1] Connect Phone To PC And Install the ADB Drivers I provide In .zip
2] Then Power Off your phone And Then Boot it in Fastboot Mode
3]Then open Start.bat And select Option 1
4] Your phone Will restart many times Dont Panic Just wait And Make sure of Charging and Driver's Installation of Your Phone
5] You Are Rooted Now
Download Root Water 7.zip
Check Post #2 for Bootloader locked F.A.Q

If u See Errors like:- Bootloader Is locked
Then Just Connect your Device to Pc in fastboot mode and open fastboot in command prompt and type:-

No buddy no theme engines yet until we r Marshmallow . Substratum starts working from Marshmallow
And the talk of Roms. I m not currently working on one but collecting materials for it ,will start working in a month i have board exams approaching. So sry u have to wait a bit but surely after a month i will. Till then u can suggest what kind of rom u want it would help me

Do take your time mate. Having a custom recovery and root for an unpopular phone like LYF is a big thing.

Isn't tested On Marshmallow . But works with most of lolipop devices . There's risk using ot on Marshmallow so dont try
How did u flashed twrp...i flashed through flashify then after flashing into recovery nothing is coming...then again i m rebooting into revovery stock recovery coming please...help...and i rooted my phone by kingoot.

R u sure u r rooted ? Use Rashr if flashify not working if u have pc then use pc method it's much easier

I saw nubia z9 Mini hardware is somewhat similar to water 7 ( I see both have same kernel too ). Can we do something with that ? I tried to check for their custom ROM so far no luck . I do not see a device forum for z9 mini in xda developers.
BTW how is your exam going ???

Thanks for Informing . And First xam went well not others are comming . And yes this info could help also first we have to make Water-7's own stock zip ROM then further porting is possible without burden .just have to wait till 08/April then i will start making custom rom

@Gautam Maini, "The (Water 7) mobile prompted for an update and when clicked update, the device shut down ( bricked? ) ". This message was from my brother who currently has the mobile. I currently do not have access to the mobile. It seems the newer update ( don't know which update or whether the update caused the issue. I'll ask clearly when I go home ) bricks the mobile. Meanwhile ask people not to update if any update prompt pops up.
Is there any flashable zip that can revive Water 7 if the issue was certainly a brick?

I already told the persons not to update . If device is tempered like rooted or unlocked or custom recovery then updating officially can brick the device .If ur device is purely Factory only then Flash the Official update otherwise brick is must . Although sometimes due to Jio's downloading speed issues a damaged update is downloaded which can also cause brick (happned with me on the 1st day i brought device). So now if u r bricked then there are two ways 1).Take the device to Service Center no matter u r rooted or whatever 2).flash TWRP and then i send u a Backup file
I MySelf Did and perfer to do also to end OTA survival if u wanna modify device also have OTA updater installs Bloatware and ADware on device
