Hello guys,
I recently bought and NO1 N3 phone, wich have 13 Mpx Back camera and 5 MPx Front camera.
Well, actualy, i seriously think that the manufactuers placed both cameras of 5 MPx.
That's true.
I tried several stuff, but the camera aplication is just showing a maxium of 5 MPx resolution, 1920 x 2840 i think, or near of that.
This is true for some apps like mobile uncle toos or Antutu, that reads device info. For antutu, both cameras for 4.9 Megapixels.

Trust me this is not from the ROM or Libs, something else like some bug or malfunction of the device.
All of my friends with the same phone, no problem, i never seen nothing like this before...
You may say something,

I am using Jelly Bean 4.1.1
Have you tried with a different camera? I had a similar problem when installing CM10. I was using Camera ZoomFX and it started to work terrible. Stock camera, on the other hand, worked much better. I just went back to the stock one and forgot about it.

I have tried:
1. Stock Camera App
2. Camere Zoom FX
3. Camera ICS
But I did not get better result from my phone's camera... Stock camera and Camera ICS do not allow me to use TOUCH FOCUS on the other hand in Camera Zoon Fx when I touch on the screen it shows sometimes Red and sometimes Green box depend upon the situation but actually it does not focus that green box is just for showing, it actually does not focus the subject, I have tried different settings but no good focus and no good pictures
do a factory reset, then upgrade to 4.1.2
this was a shot made with my i9023 + stock google 4.1.2, about 5 months ago:
Hi,
yesterday i bought 32gb nexus 5 for 150 euros (around 190 dollars). the reason for its modest price was camera which doesnt work.
i flashed full factory image 4.4.4, custom roms and kernels, did factory reset, booted in safe mode, cleared camera cache and data, but no luck.
Camera app doesnt show up in app drawer or dock in gn launcher. When I launch camera, the screen stays black (like its loading but ultimatively it doesnt). Sometimes i get: camera has crashed, or cant connect to the camera. Other camera apps also dont work, flashlight apps dont work.
Now, its obvious to me that this is hardvare isue. Camera doesnt seem like its damaged at all, lens is alright.
Today i teard my n5 down and removed rear and front facing camera and put them back in, and it still doesnt work.
My question is: if i buy new a rear and front camera and install them, can I expect camera to work? Is it possible that something else isnt working properly (maybe logicboard is damaged or something like that). I ask because i dont have knowledge about smartphones hardware. Would replacing cameras do the job?
Thanks in advance, i hope someone has experience with this kind of problem.
I don't know for sure but it could possibly be a corrupt camera driver issue.. The only thing that would make me think replacing the cameras won't work is that the flash/flashlight doesn't work either.. But I dunno if the camera is bad if that'll affect the flash/flashlight as well
I'll do a little research and get back to you
Ok strange thing : now torch built in Mahdi rom works but other flashlight apps don't :

I can't replicate this on mine.
Well, i have received an explanation from a bro, which have find the same situation. He just think that it related to brightness. When the sensor detect the brightness is enough, the 2X camera will run, if it detect brightness is not enough the camera will change to 1X camera. Sothat, when the light in a embarrassing situation(no brightness enough and also not realy dark) this issus will happen, two cameras switch and switch, realy quickly and also again here is a kind of explanation ,so am i.
Try video Pro

Yeah I see what you did there XD. Neat trick.
High light/contrast on the computer screen and no light on the Keyboard...you're asking for problems.
Have you tried using the Pro video app. That's going to get a better shot than the standard camera app.
While I can't possibly see the reason for attempting this kind of shot in low light conditions. I have sort or re-created it on mine but the camera wants to focus on where i hold my finger/thumb; which has next to no visual queues for the hardware/software to recognise so it will do what your are seeing.
I agree that the camera has become a little sluggish in 2X mode in low light. But to be honest I wouldn't have bothered until you posted this.
It's doing exaclty what I would expect it to do under the conditions.
Hi everyone,
I bought a Poco X3 NFC, and it is supposed to be capable of 960fps video. The problem is the stock mi camera allows you to film only 4 seconds, of which only the last 1 second is actually in slow motion. This makes it basically impossible to actually film anything, either you are too early or too late.
I have two questions:
- With a different ROM or camera app, will it be possible to simply film video in 960 fps from start to finish, and to film longer than 4 seconds?
- Would it be possible to film with an intermediate speed, like 480 fps, which is not available in the stock software? Or is the hardware not actually capable of this?
Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks,
Joe
U can change it in camera settings.

No, sorry. I've given up on doing slow motion video. At least it still takes decent pictures... I'm on a custom ROM though so I don't know that the default apps would be like now.
Installing it now...

Pretty useless if you do not own one of these flagship models I'd say...
This update just popped up on mine today and I applied it (it zapped 5% of my fully-charged watch that was still on the charger the whole time!) Then the Wearable app wanted updating on the phone, so I did that as well. Seemed to work OK so far.

Yep. Fewer and fewer people care about "flagship" models. I bought an A52 5G and ended up with a very fast phone, SD card, several capable cameras, real headset jack, OLED screen, and in-screen fingerprint sensor for under $400 (a little more than a year ago). Or I could have spent, what, DOUBLE for a "flagship" with a little better CPU, case, and camera, while losing the headset jack I use all the time? No thanks.
I own the same smartphone A52s and exactly for the same reason.
Did you find a way to use the Camera Control (samsung official app) on our A52s?
I have updated the watch and now the back button doesn't work...
Am I the only one with this issue?
EDIT: ok, after a watch reset and restore it works again...
Finally rolling out for the my R890 in Denmark

I didn't and it sucks. I have to use third-party one (only camera one actually works for me), which lacks in picture quality.
