Hello,
I am using Nexus 5 32 GB and from the day one I am facing a problem that my mobile is not vibrating in any case even if I am putting it in vibration mode.
Can anyone tell me the issues or any solution to this or do I need to get it replaced from the LG service center.
Regards,
Shishir
Some Nexus 5's came with a faulty vibrating motor. I highly suggest you get it replaced, as it wasn't working as it should have since day one. All the best.

Hi,
Just upgraded to a Skyrocket a few days ago. However, the speakers don't seem to work. I first thought it was because I installed custom Roms but even after i flashed back to stock, it wouldn't work.
The calling volume is fine. It is just that anything that uses external speakers doesn't work.
Has anyone experienced this problem? Should I just exchange it?
sounds like a broken phone. A few others have had issues with the speaker, so i recommend an exchange
Were you able to fix the problem?
Hi,
I bought my Skyrocket in Feb 2012 and the speaker audio stopped working two days ago. I tried all the steps that ATT and Samsung said but it does not work.
The phone is still under warranty but ATT says I will get a refurbished phone (which I see ATT is selling for 40$ on its website) in exchange. Samsung says it will repair because of the warranty but I will have to mail them the phone and wait for 7 days at the least until they return it.
Is there anyway I can fix it by myself? The audio works when I plug in my ear phones. Also now and then the speaker audio comes but less that 5 seconds it has a buzzing audio and then dies. I never dropped my phone in the water or on the ground. It was well protected and used delicately!
Any kind of help will be greatly appreciated!!
Cheers!!

Hi guys,
I got my Nexus 5 yesterday (White 16gb) and have been having some weird issues with the volume suddenly dropping during a call. A little while into a call I'll suddenly barely be able to hear the person on the other end, then the volume will come back up again. This can happen any number of times during a call. Am using Nova Launcher Prime (dropped back to stock launcher but the same thing) but everything else stock not unlocked/rooted.
Was wondering if anyone had any information about or had experienced anything similar to this. I'll probably end up RMAing the phone in the next day or so.
Cheers

I got the similar problem too. I have a 32 GB version. I am using stock ROM rooted with francos r14 kernel. How can i fix this issue ? Thanks

Did you ever find a fix for this? I've been having the same issue.
I got my son a new Moto G 16GB GPE (XT1032) about 3 weeks ago from Google, it is stock, locked, unrooted, and on the current firmware. It works well for the most part but sometimes on a call the earpiece volume will get very low and muddy even when set on max... sometimes just turning the volume way down then back up will clear the problem, otherwise a reboot always seems to clear it up for a few days then the trouble seems to return. Is anyone else having this issue?
Also, although I haven't been able to verify it, the WiFi will randomly disconnect... He tells me he is in the living room (about 25' from our Asus RT-N66U router) he will be on his phone and it will suddenly switch 3G for a bit then switch back for no reason. No other device in the house has any issues and I have verified his WiFi Advanced settings match my Nexus 4 which has no issues. Now, we do have an extremely cluttered 2.4Ghz WiFi area in our area, being in and surrounded by apartment buildings and a hotel very close, but no other device has issues (Nexus 4, LG G2, two HP laptops, a cheapo Android tablet, and WiiU).
Are these common issues with this device? Do you thing a FDR would help, we haven't done one since it came out of the box?
Just looking for a little feedback since I am tired of hearing "it's a piece of crap" from him since it seems like a great device... he is kind of leaning towards moving to a Lumia 520 just for the cost and giving me back the Moto.
Bump... Anyone? Or is this really unusual?

For the call volume issue, try setting the in call volume to one level below the max. Seems to have fixed the problem for me.

Hi guys, I always like to flash new roms to my phones, and I've never had a problem before. It happens now that, I flashed the Nexus5Experience Rom to my Moto G and everything was working good, then I tried to go back to stock, everything was working perfect but the vibrator, it just won't work, it randomly vibrates, tried to go back to the other ROM, factory reset and everything but, it wouldn't work. One thing I did I had never done before was switching the filesystem in TWRP.
When I say 'randomly vibrates' I mean it just vibrates sometimes, sometimes not. Vibrate on touch wont work, vibrate on keypress on Google Keyboard wont work, vibrate notifications won't work, even tried to amp up the vibration intensity, it doesn't do nothing.
I need your help, is this a kernel/firmware/rom problem or is it hardware and if it is, do you think it can be fixed without having to replace the phone? (Since I can't because I live in the Dominican Republic and I bought it from Amazon).
Thanks in advance
Me too. Mine stopped working last night. But I'm on stock. Also unable to return as I live in Egypt.
Thoughts anyone?
Chris
Had to replace my original after 4 months because of same problem. Worked intermittently as you're stating. It's most likely hardware not software related. Crude test: volume down to vibrate. If its not responding smack the side of the phone. If it starts working again 99% your problem is hardware. The way the vibrate motor looks to be soldered to the board not an easy do it yourself fix if you can even find a part online anywhere. Sorry you are unable to send in for repairs.

Aw it sucks I tried doing what you said and it does work when I smack it but then stops. I was planning on selling this one to buy the 2014 version, this may be a liability to do so.
I'll try to go to a repair store and see what they tell me, thanks anyways.
No problem. Sorry about your luck. Someone who knows what they are doing can probably fix it for cheap or swap out the vibrate motor with a different one. Read one guy used a iPhone vibrator and it worked. They cost next to nothing online. Might be worth a shot.

I bought a nexus 5 like 10 days ago. It was working perfectly fine but recently my earphone jack started giving problem. Whichever earphones i use (and I've tried like 5 different ones) but the right earpiece gives a very faded sound where as left works fine. The phone has not been damaged at all. Can it be a software issue or is it faulty hardware? What should i do?

Faulty hardware. If you bought it new or used from eBay or something, you should be able to return it. If there's no warranty available for it, you can repair it yoursefl. LGs are very modular, and you can pick up the headphone jack module for $7 on eBay. Go to ifixit.com for a teardown tutorial.

It's probably a hardware issue. You might have dropped the phone somewhere or the phone might got damaged while in your pocket by getting in contact with something else which caused pressure on it and the right(clip, in the jack) got damaged. You can go and show it to someone who repair phones and he might help you out with a cheap method(except of doing it yourselve which might creat another problem, but you can always find tutorials and try to do it yourselve which I prefer no to do in this case). Good luck!
