The following thread is only a few posts long. Read them. Do exactly as the OP states and what is additionally stated in post #3.
Here's the thread. Only thing different you will do is use your KDZ file instead of the one mentioned. This setup just unbricked two P506's for me. They have been bricks for about 2 years. Only booted to Emergency Mode. Now both of them are fully functional again.

I shouldn't remove the battery right ?
Also laptop is no longer detecting my oone for some strange reason (Disabled LG modem #2 and then it asked for a restart which I did)

no sign of any animation? LG logo for a split second? remove battery and connect charger directly if it shows any sign at all. i think the mobile still can be recovered using JTAG. many had fixed their mobiles using jtags.

Sad news... use this attached usbdeview tools (run as admin and delete all Ports and lets detect your pc all portss), try to detect your phone by reinstall usb driver, once device get detected, start device on bootloader by pressing HOME+VOL+Power button and flash recovery first by using Flashtool software http://www.flashtool.net/sshot1.php in your pc and click on "Power Icon" and select the "Fastboot Mode" and then click on "Select kernel to hotboot" and choose the recovery.img... Note this is for sony devices but you can flash img files on lg device too..
I too got bricked while using KDZ once and I did this and it worked. Best of luck :good:

Hard brick device!! Last option : remove battery, wait for 30 sec and then insert usb data cable (pc connected), at the same time pressing vol up+back button. See if it work
Edit:
One more option: Open your device back panel by using screw driver. On the device board, just remove the battery and reinsert. check this too if it Hard Reset your device. Best of luck

Well, I have LG Optimus P-920
since morning working on CM 7 Nightly 23
today I was replaced sdcard to 32GB 10, reboot phone and.... nothing
even pwr+vol up not working, totally not responding

I posted a thread with the same issue a few weeks back.
No, it's not the end of your phone. You'll need xp/7 to repair the phone (since I'm on linux I can't currently repair it).
Use the LG tool, remove battery and insert it back, plug in usb and hold pwr+volup(or down) can't remember which one. Your PC will find a OMAP4430 device.
There is a few threads how you can repair your phone using emergency mode in the LG tool, you'll need to enter your IMEI etc.. Look in the Development section and look for the right thread.

Did you really press the right volume button? I've had that blinking-problem,too, until I pressed the other volume button instead.
And there's no need holding the power-button for doing this.

You tried to install the drivers from xp? I'll try this before use the warranty.
How much time have your O3D?
tried on XP, Vista, 7
O3d have since about six months
Have you tried different USB cable? Had same problem with Odin and Galaxy S2, odin would fail flashing and not detected sometimes.

Yes I have tried differents USB cables (3 concretely). I'm desperate.
Once I bricked my phone y recovered it installing all the drivers including the omap one and using the kdz falshing tool.. if the omap chip is still functioning there is still a chance

Where do you get the omap drivers? Automatically whit the O3D in emergency mode?
My computer detects that driver but not install it, seems like a bucle try/error/try/error.
Hello everyone,
I attempted to upgrade my sisters Infuse the other day and all went well expect for a few things:
Phone is no longer recognized in download mode
Screen starts up with just a bunch of color screen lines; after this starts up normal and works fine
and Recovery screen looks like this: Attached file
I need help, I can't reset with odin, I can't install a rom from sd, tried counting the navigation arrow clicks but no go.
Any help?
Id like to add that my girlfriend's Infuse is recognized while in download mode but hers is brand new and is stock.

How are you getting to download mode? For me the only way odin ever recognized download mode was if i pulled the battery held volume up and down put battery back in then plugged usb in...or something like that, can't really remember its been a while...
Basically what im trying to say is odin would never detect download mode if i went there through extended power menu toggle

I can't flash with odin or the other program because the computer/program, don't connect to the phone when its in download mode. A com port never appears and I get a windows message stats unidentified device, click on message and it just shows my usb port showing unknown device.

You could have bad connections on your USB cord. I had the same exact problem, then I bought a new cord and it work perfect the next time I tried.

I had a little trouble like this too. Just install the drivers again and try other ports.
Use the scientific method. Buy also keep in mind, your girlfriends infuse is in a different state.

Install lg support tool from the lg official website.
Connect your phone to usb and then to pc .

Don't panic
Follow these steps.
Install lg support tool for 3D max from the official lg website.
Switch off you phone.
Hold volume up and power button to enter download mode.
Connect usb to phone and pc.
Wait till lg support tool discover your phone.
In options select recover phone!!!( i don't remember the exact caption may be tools)
And recover your phone!

Then go to the service center.
You might get it back in warranty.
Just say them you were updating using lg support tool or any other excuse!!!!

flashing kdz should work when phone is in download mode it doesn't actually come on it just vibrates but if kdz doesn't work then I would return it they will most likely replace the board

my device also automatically turn on everytime i insert the battery

Ok don't panic this is software related just make shure u install drivers and it doesn't have to show the Korean letter in download sometimes it doesn't just use LG support tool ....but importantly install omap drivers and LG drivers

I had the same when rooting the phone, the first thing I did was to uninstall every driver, software I had related to lg. Then visit the official website and download the support tool they had, make sure is the latest one.
When installing the support tool, notice if the program also installs the drivers for the phone.
I also took off the battery of the phone while it was on, I'm pretty sure it didst do anything but just in case.
Turn on the phone in download mode and the tool should be able to recognize it.

It was stock ROM. I've installed only cwm-root-gtab2a and GT-P5100_ClockworkMod-Recover - this files. And all was fine.
I can't turn it to download mode.
When i tried to connect to PC i hear sound like device attached and from 3-5sec I hear 'device unattached' sound. This device is 'TI board'

My Galaxy Tab 2 is P5100. It is rooted and works fine until i've tried to tweak swap via Swapper 2.
After i've installed this app i've tried to tweak my device and reboot it. so my tab is turned off and i can't enable it.
I've installed drivers and saw 'omap 4430' device in Windows. It appears when i connect my tab via usb cable at hold power button.
Now u connect it to Odin ....did the Odin software recogniz or tab

It can't be turned on in recovery/download mode so it is not visible in ODIN.

Tab should be turned on in download mode for flash via ODIN. But I can't enable it in download mode.
What happens when i connect Table to PC - I can see 'OMAP 4430 USB device' in Windows device manager. But this device is not visible and not accessible with ODIN. Nothing happens with my tablet - display is blanc, no backlight, ... :crying:

No, battery was full-charged.
And i've plugged to charger and hold it with connected charger for 5 hours tonight - nothing, it is dead

Unfortunately I'm sorry to say but when to get that omap message the tablet or phone IS in fact hard bricked and is not recoverable by anything here at xda. Samsung may be able to fix it but you are probably Better off just getting a new tab man because it'll cost just as much.
I know it's hard to hear that and it really sucks.
I almost bricked this tablet too and just had to give up on it for a while because it was so frustrating. I finally found the fix.
A couple months ago these guys were posting the wrong recoveries and root files and not labeling them correctly. So you have to be real careful with this stuff because s alot of them don't know what's going on.

1. authorised Samsung center proposed me to change board for 350$
2. i have contacts with unofficial master and he proposed me to replace internal memory card - from broken Tablet for 150$
But I've been looking for another solution and when came to service for replace internal flash memory (2 weeks ago) - they didn't have it.
So I've put it on the shelf and bought another Tablet - it is not Samsung, it is repairable device )))

I was using PAC 18
I just plugged in the charger like usually I do and the went to sleep
but when i got up and cheked the phone
it didn't turn on
try connecting ur phone with pc and check if its being detected by ur pc or not.
if not seems like u have bricked ur device. (dont worry, this happened many times with me and our device is very easy to unbrick).

Do you have an usb jig? If yes, connect it and see if it turns on. As for connecting to pc, see if phone is detected by odin.
If possible, Try another battery.

Try connecting phone with PC in APX mode and if its being connected then you can perform unbricking process. (For how to do it? and more info. Refer tut in my sig).

This happened to my galaxy r too. I sent it in and they changed the motherboard.

nope it plugs in there like it should
I tryed to connect to pc, jig and another charger still nothing happens
just follow this tutorial, u will be able to boot up ur phone again.

its great, now u can do unbricking process or can give to SSC, they will fix it for free
Don't worry buddy.. Ssc will change motherboard for you.. I had this issue too.. Phone unexpectedly turned off and just refused to turn on.. Since its in warranty you'll not have to pay anything..
From my CM10 powered galaxy R
