you mean the ROM doesn't have a messaging app?

Alright. Try 3rd party messaging apps from playstore.
Maybe somehow your radios got messed up? I'm not that great on the coding aspects but I remember way back in the day with my Evo 4G there were multiple radios you'd have to download for your phone. See if your phone has downloads for that or just say screw it and go with Google Voice and never look back. Hope you find a solution!

Simple, but I was a victim of this for months: make sure Data is on! It won't charge you Data, but the MMS has to be retrieved that way.

Update Hangouts to its lastest vesion. When you start the app it would ask you to enable sms control.
If you are not asked, go to in app settings->Sms->turn on

Select Only User APPS and Avoid system apps like samsung services and try ignoring it should work
No, it's not a problem. The Android ID is a randomly generated thing when you first boot the device. Normally, apps do not care about this ID, but some paid ones do lock onto a single ID so it cannot be shared by posting the APK.
This is an insanely outdated copy protection method though, as many people has more than one device (tablets), so you can just ignore it. Either press yes or no, it does not matter. If you're afraid to break anything, just say no to the restore.

Can you share the AT&T or any other US carrier LG messaging APK? The internatonal one doesn't have support for group messaging. Thanks in advance

This is odd. I have the international version of the G3 and group messaging doesn't work on the stock app if i go to MMS settings or anwhere. Any ideas?
