Hi,
I need a ROM for the Samsung GT-B5330 with bluetooth and gps disabled in kernel. The only functionality that I need it's a client of XMPP like Xabber that will start when you start the phone. All the other programs, including the functionality of the dialing/sms send, should be removed.
Can anyone help me? I also evaluate any payment offer.
Thanks
Kindly Regards
Artur

Hi all,
In the app I'm developing I will need to be able to send arbitrary files (probably many at a time) to known and previously paired bt-enabled devices. Is there any way to bypass the discovery dialogue and the devices list by somehow providing a registered intent with the address of a device, say, through a putExtra call? In other words, I will already know the bt mac addresses, so I won't be needing the extra discovery and user input.
Downloading an alternative bt app that is capable of this would also work for me. So far I've tried to use the services offered by both "androbex" and "bluetooth file transfer" but with no luck.
I'm developing for a Samsung Tab, android-8.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks!
Hi all!
This is my first thread, and I hope I've done everything correctly (noob video, forum rules, etc ...). Well, I'd like to know a little bit more about VPN features in Android.
I use official Android Samsung ROM 2.3.2, but I think my questions are valid for any kind of ROM/device.
I've tried to set PPTP VPN, but I had troubles. Anyway, I would like to know more about that feature:
- Does *ALL* traffic goes through the VPN (data connection), or does some apps can bypass it?
- I heard about default VPN implementations in Android is crap (PPTP, L2TP ...). Can you confirm it, or give me Google keywords?
- I would like to redirect *ALL* my traffic to a server, in way to dump all connexion.
- OpenVPN sounds a good solution for what I want to do, but do I need to know if we can install it without rooting my phone.
Well, I hope there is not another similar topic I am actually making a little study, so if you affirm something, please reference your sources (or a name/website/author ...)
Thank you
Nobody can give me a piece of advice ? :/
android vpn
hi
first you have to setup a android vpn service and then you can setup above features check (purevpn.com/vpn-service/android-vpn.php)
Hi!
Thank you for your reply! But I don't want to use these service, I want to create mine (I got some Debian servers ...)
Anybody else ? :/ I'm quite desipointed to see so few answers ... Or maybe I missed the good topic ..
Hey everyone,
I have IBM Lotus Traveler on my phone for work email, and it forces a password-protect lock screen. If it ran through basic Exchange Services email, I would have lots of possible options to disable/bypass the lock screen requirement.
Unfortunately, it is a stand-alone app with Device Administrator control. I have freakin' scoured the internet trying for a work-around, and have still not been able to find anything.
Below is a link to several deeper methods that I thought "may" work. While it's on a Miui site, I don't think you need to be running a Miui rom to make these commands work, but I don't know. And while I know Android fairly well, I'm not an expert and not that up-to-speed with ADB functions and programming. If someone could check out this link and see if there is potential there...or if it would be a waste of my time, any input would be appreciated.

Also, if anyone has any other input or direction on disabling device admin permissions, or maybe fooling the administrator on the app, anything that may work, that would be great to know as well.
Any help would be hugely appreciated- thanks!
bump for input...
2nd bump for some interest?
Zero input or perspective?
Hello,
I'm trying to build an app which streams audio output from a Galaxy S II, via hotspot, to devices connected to that hotspot (no internet). I'm very new to android coding, so that's why I want ask, in a few words, what would be the easiest way to build the app?
So far, I've figured the app should have 2 sort of profiles, one for 'server', one for client, and the basic functionality of the app would be to send the output from the server device to the hotspot, then have the client devices receive that signal.
Question is, could anyone advise me on some key elements to take into consideration? I'd really appreciate any help, since this is my disertation, and it's not long till it's due.
Thx
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Duos (GT-I9192, serranodsxx) on which I have installed an unofficial CM 12.1 ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...rom-cyanogenmod-12-0-s4-mini-duos-gt-t2950526). I have configured a SIP account (using the built-in functionality). The configuration is successful in the sense that my phone registers on the server and in that I can call and be called through the SIP connection (phone rings). However, whenever the call is answered (on the called phone, i.e., the one I've called, or my own when receiving), the connection is immediately broken.
Where should I post about this issue, to get help resolving it. Help would consist in correctly filtering logs, using additional apps to try if it is an issue of the phone software or the server, learning about other (freely available) SIP accounts that I can use for testing purposes. I have a feeling this is, at least initially, a general question rather than a model-specific one.
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. A search on XDA for SIP accounts found this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/tags.php?tag=sip Perhaps one of these threads can help or would be good place to post your question.
Good luck!
