there will be a version of sense 5 with kitkat for this terminal? - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

any cook will have planned a version of android 4.4.2 with sense 5 or will be working only with the normal version of the android for this terminal?

What do you mean by normal version of Android? What do you mean by terminal?
Sent from my Evita

I think he wants to know if there will be a Sense version of Kit Kat. Terminology is a bit off, but that's what I gathered.
I really don't dabble to much into Sense Roms, because I prefer AOSP, so I really don't have a good answer for you.

I highly doubt it, unless a port comes from a portable device.
Sent from my Evita

mmm thanks for your answers, it seems to us the kit kat is without sense 5 for htc one x

Which devices are portable
Sent from my HTC Butterfly s using Tapatalk

The easiest to port from are devices which share the same chipset and display resolution.
Sent from my Evita

like the evo 4g lte. or the one mini. kind of curios to see what can and cant be ported. and can you port CM 10.2 to run sense or would it be easer to port from a difrent device.

it just came a few hours back on the portal that HTC one X and one X+ wont receive any further official updates.
and as far as ports are concerned we dont have any device with a similar chip set the latest desire series 500,501,700 etc have the snapdragon 400 or lower versions... the flagships like m7 and the m8 when it will release will have the snapdragon 800 version!
the s4 chipset is only available for HTC one s and ours so its highly unlikely!

well there was a port from I think the m7 or a difrent one that was 4.1.2 with sense 5 so there is a device that can be ported. I dont know how but it can be done.

Yea even sundream mentioned it ....so did zarboz
Finger crossed

Should I? Should I not? Should I?

Hi,
HTC have released some awesome phones like the One X and my god it is fantastic, but the question is, shall I sell my Galaxy Nexus for the HTC?
The good points from the nexus are that I would be that I would be supporting to the next Android with no worry.
But the HTC would be more than capable for running the next Android version as its hardware is far better. Also I like the 1.5GHz Quad Core processor with nvidia tegra. But the updates that I would get will be later than the Nexus and also HTC are a pain to root with the boot loader and EXT partitions
What should I do?
Thanks Guys

And also, is it too early to get a QC phone and wait till they get better?

You should get the HTC. The specs whoop the Nexus's ass!

The question isn't whether it's capable, but when the manufacturer releases the update. Currently, none of them have yet released a Gingerbread -> ICS update, and it's already been 5 months.

for me its all about the hardware... since software can always be modified... the one x holds more potential hardware wise...
Do ittt!!!
I would wait for people to test it first...I am a bit worried with the battery stamina from One X
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA
With the Nexus, you do not have to wait to constructor update, you will always get the last Android's version.
But HTC phones are more powerfull and XDA community will let you have the new Android OS
Cheers people. Ill get the HTC

[NOT a dev] HTC One x RUU - spreading the word...

Saw this on Rootzwiki and thought someone might fancy a crack at getting it working on DHD???
I for one would like to see this ROM working on DHD
http://rootzwiki.com/index.php?/topic/20823-HTC-One-X-ICS-Leak
Sent from my rooted DHD using Tapatalk
The One X uses Tegra processor, while the DHD uses adreno. We, as the devs, have tried porting the One X and it is nearly impossible, which is why we shifted our focus to the One S (Full Sense 4), and the One V (Sense 4 Lite)
Shame
But thanks for info. I don't understand the complexities of all that stuff.
Please close thread (sorry)

I read somewhere "Impossible my ass", We need ICS kernell for DHD, then everything's possible.

[Q] Galaxy S3 rom port?

I recently found out that the Galaxy s3 rom is leaked.
I wondered if it is possible to port it to our htc sensation?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646610
Totally different hardware, different screen resolution, different everything. Buddy, it's not gonna happen.
It's not impossible, but I don't realistically see it happening. Two major components of the phones are different--screen resolution & CPU (and GPU) chip.
Is it not possible because correct me if I am wrong but doesn't the one x have a different cpu,gpu and screen res but somehow we managed to get a port of that albeit a very buggy one but we did.

Yeah it was the One S and Desire C (Ville) now.
The very first port of sense 4 I am almost certain was based on the one x.

[Q] htc sense 5

is there any chance that we can port sense 5 after the release of htc one..............i think our sensation can handle it and will look great on qhd devices............
I hope so, that would be awesome!
It's quite difficult to port HTC sense 5 to sensation from 1x as devs vll hve to resize full sense from full hd to qhd n I dnt think they hve so much time to do that as their r more imp work for them but when it vll cum to 1s they vl give it a try...
Hope for the best but get prepared for the worst
hit thanks if I hve hlped you

What if the One S gets it? If so porting sense 5 won't be nearly as hard.
Since we haven't managed to port Sense 4 JB from the One S, I am fairly certain that Sense 5 is most likely not possible on our Sensation. Based on my experience, we can only port ROMs from devices with similar specifications (such as One S and Sensation), and in fact, most of the Sense 4 ROMs on this forum are from the One S. Given the huge differences between the new HTC One and Sensation (1080p screen versus qHD, Snapdragon 600 vs S3, etc...), the amount of effort required to create a port is simply too much, assuming that we can have all the required libraries, drivers to start with. Even the One X+ may not get Sense 5, given HTC's poor track record of updating devices.

didn't heard anything about sense 5 for htc one s yet.. but I hope that the one s will still get updates and wont become forgotten because of the newer htcs
AW: HTC Sense 5.0 rumours?
I'm quite certain as soon as the sense 5 build leaks our devs here will do a port. But I think that our One S won't get official sense 5 by HTC. Maybe one with less features...
based on how long it took htc/tmobile to release jelly bean. I doubt we will ever see sense 5.0. the best we can bet is having a developer to release it.
AW: HTC Sense 5.0 rumours?
I think we will get it. Our phone is just like 1 year old, there should be at least 1 update for us with sense 5. Would also be a nice move from HTC towards customers.

I hope HTC will update htc one s to sense 5.0 or since we got s-off dev's can port it, no?
Re: HTC Sense 5.0 rumours?
Loool maybe ends of this year .. naahh come one our best hope is a port from the new 4.3 inch device from htc

I'm almost sure HTC will release this for the One series devices. Soo many people use the X, XL, S, and V and are locked into contracts.
I also see no reason why they would not roll out an update. Our device is perfectly spec'ed still (even though Sense is a complete resource hog and drain) and we have plenty of room on NAND to support it. We just will have to wait about 7.6 years for HTC's slow arse (screw t-mo) to finally release it...

Before an HTC One S I had an HTC Sensation which have an hardware enough powefull to have jellybeans and Sense 4+ but HTC decide to not upgrade this device. So with the new handsets I think that HTC don't upgrade the "old" One phones

Based on this One S Ville is in a good situation though. Take a look at the pace of updating One S VilleC2
Anyway, I hope that even if we get this, the BlinkFeed will not be there..

HTC can easily said that since the phone only has 1gb of ram, it will not get it or have a slim down Sense like what they did with the older phones before One. It would be a huge mistake in my opinion either way. HTC really needs to step up and support the One series more. I feel that it gives current owner a reason to continue to purchase and recommend their products. While I realize some of the camera features may not work on the current device due to potentially lack of the needed hardware, it would still be nice if HTC will try to bring a much of the new features to older phones to finally hae a unified One series.

With the release of the one series they told that they want to support their phones way better again.

I've read in german forums that the HTC One S/X/X+ will get updates in the next months which will including:
- Blink Feed
- Additional camera features
- Zoe (full automatic video editor)
- and hopefully more?
the article also says that the update will NOT include all features of Sense 5.
