[Q] Trying to control Sony Bravia SmartTV - General Questions and Answers

Hi!
Trawling through Google led me to a thread on this forum: ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2091564&page=2 ), which mentions that a json command sent to a certain address on the TV will return a list of possible commands. I hope to figure out how I can use those commands with an Android app that I bought for creating custom remotes.
First, I need to figure out a simple way of sending the JSON command to the TV over my LAN, though. Would someone kindly suggest an easy method that will allow me to do this using my Android phone or my windows laptop?
Any suggestions or advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance!

Remotely accessing your phone from desktop

I am trying to get screen caps (or video capture) of how my companies website looks within different browsers, unfortunately I get a .NET error when trying to use Pocketnet. Is there an application that can remotely access your phone from your desktop? I searched and searched but perhaps I didn't use the correct key words. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

free tool from ms
I use this http://www.mymobiler.com/ as as a very good remote control. You don't need to start anything on your PocketPC, it is triggered from the PC.
Thanks everyone, I'll give em a shot!

[Q] How to communicate with custom made hw board?

Hi Xda developers,
I might get involved in project during internship, where they want me to find way how to connect android device to custom made proprietary radio transmitter-receiver board without bluetooth or wifi, so it has to be direct wired connection.
This radio transmitter-receiver board has its own microchips and firmware so all low level work and functions will be done in this board alone.
Does anyone has idea how this could be done? is it possible to write some drivers (probably C) to communicate with this board over micro usb port present in all android devices? And than how could be data received over radio used in basic java-android application installed on device? (could this be done with use of a binary/text file as a link between these two programs?)
Thanks in advance
If nobody knows or has time to answer my questions, please give me some tips where to start searching for answers (websites, books, magazines .... )

[Q] Android application question

Hi,
I am pretty new to Android development and wondering if it is possible to create an application that allows a user to connect and send AT commands to a device remotely from a desktop and if so, point me in the direction on where to start on this.
Also, would the device have to be rooted to send/receive the commands?
Thanks

[Q] Newbie: simplest way to make Phone apps Android TV compatible

Hi - I'm a newbie and frankly knows next to nothing about Android app development. There are lots of great apps out there that would be great to use on the big screen via Android TV (the only device out there now is the Nexus Player), but unusable on Nexus Player because they requires either gesture or mouse. This leads me to think that there must be a relatively easy way to take the APK and update the code so that I can use the d-pad remote for the Nexus Player.
Can anyone point me the way?
Thanks!
Frank

[Q] Mapping a shared Windows file to Android using Adhoc

I am newer to Android development but would like to know how to communicate with my Windows 8 (7 or XP) environment over Adhoc from my Android phone. I have researched this topic and I generally see people refer to the play store to download an app. I don't just want the functionality, but I want to know how to do it myself. Whether if there is a specific library I can use through android development, or if their is some command line option I can use via Android to do this.
So, how would I go about browsing files on my Windows machine without using an app? I know the Android O/S (at least what I gathered from the articles I have read) does not support this. So what are developers doing in their apps to create this connection? Or what is the best book to buy to help me understand how to do this?
Thanks!
