Has anyone had the problem where when you restore your apps and data using Titanium Backup the notifications dont come through? It seems like when I do a restore of my apps I dont get notifications anymore. I have to uninstall the app and reinstall it.

If you're talking about system apps, they shouldn't be backed up / restored. It can be done, but you shouldn't restore data, and it can still be problematic.

Whoops should have stated user apps. I never backup system apps. I only use the Titanium ones for things like bluetooth, wifi, messages.

Hey, I wondered if any one could help me figure out why about 75% of my apps ont work on a custom flashed ROM?
I have tried Revolution HD and some 2 others in the development thread. the ROMS themselves work perfectly fine but most of my apps force close instantly. when i revert back to the stock ROM everything works fine and my apps all work again. can anyone help???
Thanks
are you wiping everything, including data, and both caches when you install the rom? and how are you restoring the apps? titanium or something similar? or just downloaading straight from the market? if ur using titanium, make sure ur not restoring system settings OF ANY KIND.

Well I've used the revolution HD full wipe.zip which I would have thought wipes everything.
When it comes to restoring apps I've used my backup root and I've only backed up apps and media not system setting. Once I've restored them I've updated them to latest version if possible and tried to reinstall them which also didn't make a difference.
Not sure what I'm doing wrong.....
Thanks for the reply
Hello Everyone,
I have a question about Titanium Backup. I run backups for all my apps (without data) and when I run a factory reset I have to reinstall everything. I understand this because that erases everything including Titanium Backup from my phone. My question is am I doing something wrong and is there a way to recover your apps with Titanium Backup after a Restore or Reset of your phone? Because once I reinstall TB after a reset none of my backups are there obv. But I have to go and re download everything from the market which is a pain in my behind Frankly. So in closing either TB should have some sort of cloud storage for there users where their apps are being backed up to OR they have something like this already and I am blind. I have looked several places but everywhere I go and it says this is possible they are just showing restoring apps with TB after a new rom is flashed...Not completely reset.
Thanks for any help that can be provided!!

I had the same question when I first started using TB. yes you do lose it when you factory reset, but go into the market and redownload it and the pro key if you have paid for it. and you can batch restore your apps an Data. I do it alot cause I'm always testing ROMS. Btw get the full version it has some nice features like batch install without having to click install for every app. makes restoring a breeze

The backups are stored on your SD card. As long as you aren't wiping that, they should still be there in the Titanium Backup folder.
TB does have Dropbox sync, at least in the pro version. Don't know why a factory rest would delete your backups though, does it also delete photos, etc?
Well all backups from TB are on the sd hence u need not worry !
Also just install TB from market and u will notice all of ur backups are ready to be restored !
consider shifting the TB app to the System intead of Data hence it can survive a factory reset !!
i have installed the all in the system !!
Thanks everyone for your replies, I just upgraded to the Pro Version. Thanks for all the help, yea I do the same thing I am always reflashing different roms to try out and I use Odin to go back to factory a lot too. So thats why I brought the question up. Thanks again!
I have been happily running CROMI-X 4.6.9 for some time now but yesterday I found that my tablet had turned off. Turning it back on again was fine but it seemed to hang at the boot animation and get really hot.
I tried wiping Dalvik and Cache but that didn't help, so I made a TWRP backup before wiping Data. The tablet booted fine now, so I tried to restore Data from the Nandroid using Titanium and although all my apps are back their Data isn't.
How can I get the data for each app back?

Sound like you restored apps but not data? Do it again in titanium but make sure you restore user data and apps.

I did do both... even tried it twice to make sure I wasn't being stupid.
When Titanium failed, I tried to restore apps and data from the nandroid using Nandroid Manager, which produced exactly the same results.

Did you backup before or after you wiped?
The only thing I can think of is you used to have your backups on external and it is now looking on internal? Or you have scheduling turned on in tibu and you've overwritten your backups?

Sorry, I'm not talking about Titanium backups. I used Titanium to extract the apps and data from the nandroid backup.

Ah ok, that'll probably be your issue then. Presumably Tibu has failed to understand or find the nandroid user data.
I flashed sensonic HD rom and when trying to restore apps through titanium backup, the screen gets stuck at "restoring app" and nothing happens..
what might be the problem??
Take a backup of titanium app and it's data (the backup of apps you've made)... clear app data of titanium and reinstall it and see whether it's working?
cleared data but that did not work
Aah well, Try not to restore all apps in a go, may be there's a problem while restoring a particular app??
It gets stuck even while your restoring individual apps??
yes even while restoring individually and tried many apps..
same problem...
even tried wiping cache and dalvic... still same problem..
and these are not system apps either...
Arrghh??
Did you take your backup while you were using ART and now restoring it with Dalvic selected.. Or vice versa??
I also had this issue a few times. I had to restore my user data little by little.
Do you have the latest SuperSU v1.93?
Maybe TB isn't stuck you just have to wait. How many apps do u want to restore? Some apps with big data?
I was asking earlier about how to make a list of all the apps I have installed, so that when I root my Note 4 (which involves wiping the phone), I can go through the list and easily remember which apps I should reinstall. But someone suggested just using a backup app like Helium, and then restoring them once I root my Note 4.
Will that actually work? Can I just use a backup app like Helium or Titanium or MyBackup, backup all my installed apps and their user data, then root/wipe the phone, reinstall said backup app, and I'll be able to restore all the apps I have installed, and they'll just work?
And if so, does it include things like user data for each app like configuration options and locally stored saved games? Can I go through the list and only restore the apps that I really want, unchecking all the ones I don't want reinstalled?
