Hello. A few days ago I tried to root my Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus but I failed. I installed Odin (all versions) but when I select the PDA button and select the "Jerry_recovery.tar.md5" I recive an error :
Code:
<ID:0/003> Added!!
<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..
<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
<OSM> Please wait..
<OSM> MD5 hash value is invalid
<OSM> Jerry_recovery.tar.md5 is invalid.
<OSM> End...
I searched on internet and I found a solution : To rename Jerry_recovery.tar.md5 in Jerry_recovery.tar . If I try this , Odin didn't give me any error but I did that for nothing... You will see later why.
After that I boot my phone in CWM mode and I tried to install SuperUser but again I recived another error :
Code:
E: failed to verify whole-file signature
E: signature verification failed
...or something like that and then my phone restarts.
I need some help guys. Please give me a solution and if you need more informations about my phone , just ask me.

Phone restores the stock recovery everytime you boot, untill you boot into CWM at least once. You correctly flashed CWM recovery, but then phone rebootes and restores the stock one. Uncheck "Auto Reboot" in Odin, flash it again and boot into recovery from the Odin Mode screen. Then you can install SuperSU.

CWM ignores signature verification by default.

Yes. I hold "Vol+"+"Home"+"Power" on Odin Mode screen after flashing and keep them holding until Samsung Galaxy S II Plus logo appears. Then I get into recovery.
You didn't even flash cwm, you need to remove the .md5 from the name and flash again

Hello all,
sorry but I really need help.
After I've tryed to flash firmware (new jb ) using Mobile Odin Pro I'm stucked on boot loop. Then I've tryed to flashing the same file (downloaded from sammobile) by Odin for windows 3.04 and I get an error:
<OSM> Please wait..
<OSM> MD5 hash value is invalid
<OSM> KIES_HOME_N8000XXBLJ9_N8000OXABLJ9_412156_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5 is invalid.
<OSM> End...
I really don't know what to do now, can anyone help me please?
Thank you all
Sounds like the downloaded file was corrupt. Redownload and try again... You will loose root using ODIN on the PC but just flash CWM again in ODIN and you should be good...

Mate, the fact the MD5 hash value was invalid means there's a problem with the flash file...
The other question I have is did the Op unzip the file to flash as it needs to be unzipped to flash in either ODIN or mobile ODIN. It will be an md5 file that you flash, in PDA for the PC or just select it in mobile ODIN....
File corrupted I've flashed a new one with Odin for windows and now It works good Thank you for help!
Ahhh, after the first jelly bean setup my device is again "Official" Don't know why

I will try and report here later.

How to root Galaxy S4 GT-9500 running Android 4.4.2 (KitKat)
Proceed at your own risk, rooting your device may void your warranty and Knox will no longer function
Requirements:
Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-9500 running Android 4.4.2
Kies disabled
Odin 3.09: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...08-2013-odin-3-09-odin-1-85-versions-t2189539
PhilZ Touch 6 Recovery by Phil3759: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2201860 (download the .tar.md5 version for the GT-9500)
Make sure that USB debugging is enabled in developer options
Recommended:
Backup your data
Battery charged more than 50%
Rooting your device:
Connect your device to your computer (ID:COM in odin should be highlighted in blue)
Select Philz touch recovery 6 as AP in odin, make sure F.Reset Time and F.Reboot are checked (Do NOT check any other options)
Press the start button
Wait for Odin to finish
Power-off your device and boot into recovery by holding these buttons: Volume up+Home+Power
If Philz recovery doesn't appear, it may take a few tries.
Now enter philz settings and select reroot device.
When your device boots, download SuperSU (by Chainfire) in the play store.
Download Root Checker Basic and Verify your Root.
Done!

Hi C3RB3RU5X,
I had the same problem. Whenever I tried to flash the Stock ROM things got worse, until in the end I had the same problem as you.
If you can still access download mode try the following:
download the latest TWRP file for your S6 model
download AOKP image for your S6 model
download GAPPS for your S6 model
enter download mode
flash TWRP with Odin, but un-tick "Auto-Reboot" in Odin
when completed go to recovery at once (don't let the phone try to boot normally, just "kill" phone and hold the buttons for download mode)
when in recovery (TWRP) start ADB software (if you don't know how google samsung galaxy S6 ADB)
transfer the downloaded AOKP image and GAPPS to your phone (/sdcard is a nice place) via ADB
wipe cache in TWRP
install image and GAPPS
wipe cache and reboot your phone
everything should be normal by then
Good luck !

As far as I know there is no specific ROM for the Samsung S6 (not like the stock ROM, e.g SM-G920I), only for Samsung S6 (SM-G920). So you could flash this one. Just inquire if your specific provider in India might have restrictions on unlocked phones.
Name of ROM is aokp_zerofltexx_nougat_unofficial_2018-02-17_1022.zip
Just google, there are a number of download links.
If you search the xda site you will find a page where the download links are listed.

Well... I can. It's tricky but works. Once you had flashed TWRP (with auto-reboot box unticked) press combination buttons to go to download mode. But here's the trick: Just when screen is off change combination to TWRP and boom...
Just don't let it boot into system before that.

It seems you don't like to read instructions !
Otherwise you would have found out by yourself that you have to add the TWRP-3.2.1.0xxx.img.tar to AP !
If you want to be 100% sure that the AOKP image works on your phone model you will have to inquire more deeply.
I can't say for sure.
