Vibrate on Answer. - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just got my G and loving it, How do I turn on Vibrate when my call is answered, I find this very useful and I havent been able to figure it out. I'm on KitKat btw.
Thanks

cannot find it

bump

Well I can't find it either, so it seems like this setting does not exist for the moto g.

I totally misread the question. Sorry for that.

You can do it if you are rooted by using xposed + gravity box.

Call settings is not a seperate entry anymore. Go to the dialler, tap on the 3 little dots in the lower right corner, settings, tick vibrate when ringing

Is that really the same as vibrate when the call is answered? (Or maybe the question poorly phrased?)

My phone doesn't vibrate anymore?

So I have my phone on silent the majority of the time. Now recently for some reason my phone stopped vibrating for texts and any other notifications completely. I can't even get the timer in the inbuilt clock app to vibrate.
The motor or whatever vibrates the phone is working because my phone vibrates when I go to adjust the vibration settings. But it doesn't vibrate for notifications.
For text messages idk what rom your on but go to settings in messaging and find the vibration settings

What Rom are you using?

Ya may need to go into the messaging and email app settings and change the vibration settings there.
Next time you may want to post this in q&a section as well. I can hear the trolls coming out from under the bridge already. Just a heads up
Edit: I may want to realize which thread I'm in! Lol. Sorry, but the settings piece still applies.
"Enthusiasm without knowledge is not good; impatience will get you into trouble." Use that search button. Sent from my I-727 Skyrocket running an Android version AT&T probably won't give me for another year.
I'm on CM9 and my notifications were not vibrating either. I went into system>sound>silent mode then chose vibrate. I also went into the settings of text messages under vibrate and chose "only on silent". See if any of that helps.

I dont have any vibration settings in the default text message app. Samsung's clock timer isn't vibrating on silent like it used to, I messed around with the sound settings as well and nothing changed.
I had this problem yesterday. I wasn't getting any notification for text messages. I would see them only when I turned the phone on and looked at the screen. Turns out I was playing around with the CM9 profiles settings, and had it in night time profile, which by default sets the vibration and volume to 0. You can either change the settings of that profile, or just set it back to default profile.
Having said that, it is kind of handy being able to disable notifications during certain hours...

What's TTY?

Lately when I plug my earphones a "TTY" icon appears at my notification bar. I don't know what it is. How do I get rid of it?

I don't know exactly what TTY means, but i remember it has something to do with deaf people, like reading the messages you receive (?)

What a confusing thing to call it...
TTY MODE ON/OFF > Call Settings
Unlike my friend abhi, you guys would have accidentally enable TTY option under call settings.
Go to call settings > calls > TTY MODE > OFF.
Simple Isn't It? next please

Totally silent call blocker ?

Looking for a totally silent call blocker. Tried apps like MrNumber but every time there's a blocked call I get a pop up & audio notification. I want a app that once a number is added to the block list, just blocks the call - no notification of any kind ( well a entry into a log is OK ).
Any suggestions ?
Stock Moto G here.
No one ?
Can I request one of the app developers here to develop such a app. I'm sure I'm not the only one who needs this.

Hello bro... If you have Samsung device.. It has an option blocking mode..
And If you have rooted phone... Then use this app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fahrbot.apps.rootcallblocker.beta&hl=en
Or you can search play store for this kind of apps.... I'm sure that there must be some apps with this feature..
Please don't miss to hit thanks button if I helped you..
Could not any at the Play Store or even Google search. That's why I posted here.
No one else needed something like this ? Seems unlikely,
Using stock Moto G as mentioned in the OP.

Got a really quick response from MrNumber :
To disable or change where the pop up notifications appear, tap "Settings" in Mr. Number.
In the Calls section, tap "Incoming Call pop up" to reveal different options for where incoming call notifications should appear:
Show alerts at the top
Show alerts in the middle
Show alerts on the bottom
Do not show
If you uncheck the box next to "Post call pop up," and the app will stop displaying information about callers after a call is completed.
When Mr. Number blocks a call or text it creates a notification on your notification bar. To disable the notifications, tap Settings >>"Blocked calls and texts" under Notifications >> select "do not send notification."
Lastly, there is a small popup that says, "Blocked by Mr. Number" when the action of the blocking takes place which quickly appears and then disappears; that cannot be removed.
Best,

I made a request/suggestion to have a option to disable the sound that is played when the popup appears.

How do I turn off vibrate when you get a text message?

Currently, when I get a text message, I get a sound notification and the phone vibrates. All i want it to do is make a sound and not vibrate. I went into all the settings and I cant find it anywhere. Does anyone have any feedback?

Assuming you are using Google Messenger.
Open the App. In the main screen (list of current conversations) tap the three dots on the top right. Tap settings, and the vibrate option is right there.

Well, it's a logical place to look! lol.
Also keep in mind that when you're in a conversation with someone in messenger. Tapping the 3 dots in that window will let you customize that specific person. Color/Sound/Vibrate are all able to be customized per contact.

Disabling vibration

how can we turn off vibration completely ?
It's extremely annoying to me, why there are no any options to disable it.
The only place where I want to have it only phone calls and messages.
I'd also like to know this.
Especially when double tapping to use face unlock it vibrates.
It does not vibrate when we use power button to start face-unlock.

those settings are not enough and do not turn off vibrations,
for example when I wake up the screen.

The only thing you could do, is to enable energy saving mode
I also want to untie the vibration to wake up the mobile .. it is very annoying.
Plus one here, I also find it stupid to not be able to completely disable vibration.
For SMS I suppose I can use a different SMS app like Textra, but for double tap and call begin I haven't found a solution.

What I wish would happen is if the alert slider is set to "silent" then vibration will be turned off. But if the alert slider is set to "vibrate" or "ring" the vibration will be turned back on.
Any idea on how to do this on a rooted OP6?
