YouTube pixelated - General Topics

Don't know where the best place is to ask this so I'll start here.
Roughly 6 months ago after an update to the YouTube app and ever since after a few more updates of the YouTube app videos on YouTube are now quite pixelated on my SGS2.
I'm currently running version 5.3
28.
My brother in-law is running the same app version on his S3 and its fine.
Anyone know how to fix this?

Maybe try the this.

It's not really a fix or anything, more of an upgrade.
Enjoy

Video Driver Kaiser/Tilt

Hey guys i haven't used my tilt for awhile 1 year to be exact. Has the video problems been solved? i tried to search for the answer myself as always but haven't found anything. Thanks
if you've been looking at htcclassaction, you'd note that there are some 3D drivers floating, there's also some OMNIA drivers, as well as an entirely OMNIA based ROM.
That being said, only 3D seems to have gotten looked at, actual VIDEO acceleration (aka the youtube app's high quality setting) still sucks.
so as far as videos? movies? there's no improvement?
well, i don't remember if it's been a full year since i've owned a Kaiser (i know my join date is November 07 but at one time i had a Wizard) but I haven't really noticed much of an improvement in movies and such.
Double Post.

Netflix streaming app?

Anyone out there streaming Netflix movies on your HD2? If so, how?
I would love to know this too... +1
If i knew how to even look at going about doing this i would learn and develop it. This would be a killer app!!! especially on our yummy 4.3 inches of pure awesomeness
There has got to be a way.. if we can watch previews, and adjust our Qs.. there has to be a way to steeem the movies to our phones.
Any dev want take this and run with it?
You'd need a mobile Silverlight player in a shell that tricks Netflix into thinking you're on an approved browser.
that would be sooo sick... i was so upset at the partnership t-mobile or htc made with blockbuster... i mean that's a dying company on the verge of bankruptcy... why??!! Netflix would've been the best choice... and it would've rocked my socks off
this would be the best app ever.
maybe just a hulu player that allows full selection.
I know they have netflix app for WP7
6.5 is not going to be getting silverlight
i wish someone would some how come out with app that lets u stream netflix.then it'll b fun to carry around a 4.3 inch screen phone.hehe

Maybe not. I'm running Firefox on my Win7 machine and to the best of my recollection, I haven't upgraded to SilverBlight despite the frequent nags. So there's gotta be a way, no?
HD2 and Netflix
My HD2 was rocking the netflix better than my wii and xbox the listings where fab but sadly after not checking for a few days i went to log onto my NF and watch some movies as i was sitting at the DR office to find...... there is a new version and you must upgrade...... then upgrade not found retry or exit
@ DraksFangs Do you have Netflix running on android or windows 6.5???
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA Premium App
Must be Android. There is no working Netflix for Winmo. I had Neflix on my HD2 through Android too, and yes, since two weeks ago it keeps telling me new version, must upgrade and then, not found.
WinMo, no. But WP7 has it. I had it runing on my WP7 HD2, but I came back to Android and found out my Netflix app no longer works. Boooo

[Q] Getting embedded Flash to work on Optimus V?

Hi. So I got the Optimus V and I was looking at some sites for mobile anime episodes and I watched part of a video and bookmarked the site for later.
When I went back, the video wouldn't play, all that shows where the video should be is a blue lego with a question mark on it. Now no embedded flash videos will play in the browser. When I try to force install the Adobe Flash Player 10.1 it doesn't install.
I've read that the processor in this phone doesn't meet min specs for the latest Flash. Now, I KNOW I saw the video playing that first time. I know the phone is able to do it.
Will rooting my phone let me overclock and get Flash 10.1 running? Is there a way to roll back to an older version of Flash on the phone? HAs anyone gotten embedded videos to work on this phone?
I'm somewhat disappointed if there is no way to watch tv shows on the phone.
Having the same problem, but got just a little further along. you can get the app "Droid Streamer" for a decent collection of tv and movies. free also. I then got "Crackle Pro" has many tv shows but had to pay $4.99 for a month. So far so good, great quality videos. You can also get 6 months for $24.99. I am going to wait on that because i think someone will develope a compatible flash player soon. I offset the cost of crackle by lowering my minutes to 300 for $25/month. Then I downloaded "nettalk" for free that uses 3g data to make calls using no minutes up. I then got "easy tether" to connect to laptop with fast 3g internet, also free!! So for $30 I'm getting unlimited talk, text, web, email, and wifi on my laptop.
Not bad

New GTab Owner Seeking For Help.

Well i got my G Tab Yesterday and am using VEGAn-TAB GingerEdition STABLE RC1 and i had a question i have flash 10.2 already and it works fine with sites but when i use the youtube app for some reason it plays the videos abit choppy so i was wondering.
Does anybody know what could be causing the youtube app to play videos like that? any information would be appreciated it and well first time posting here since i finally got my tab and nice to meet you all.
The issue is that gingerbread has no hardware video decoding so some higher quality content is going to play choppy on any 2.3 based rom until we get some drivers from nvidia (if we ever do). So unfortunately if you plan to do a lot of video on your tab you may have to stick to the 2.2 roms until something gets figured out.

[A700] How can they put netflix on the box?

Hi,
I don't know if its only in Canada but I have netflix logo on the box and pre-installed on the tablet... It's unbelievable I can't even scroll the interface of netflix cause the tablet is just too slow, is it the same for everyone ??
Same thing for browsing the web, all the browsers are so slow its not even funny.
I don't get how some people in the a700 forum are saying its fast and responsive, I have a Htc One X and a Nexus 7 and the a700 is soooo slow in comparison.
Too bad the screen is super nice and I really like the size.
I have the german version and netflix isn't installed (they just started in the UK and trying to 'invade' westeurope ).
I don't have any major lags and it's running pretty fine (but not perfect).

hehe ok good to know, I don't really need Netflix but just find it weird that they give you direct access to something that's makes the tablet look so bad I put Apex launcher today and it seems much smoother than before, hope we get CM10 sometime !
US model. Netflix pre-installed, and I agree it runs like cold peanut butter. I uninstalled the version that came on it, installed an old cracked all-versions apk from last year, and when Google Play updated it, it ran fine.
My browser experience is fine, though. I'm using Dolphin and it is nice and smooth. Opera only shows up on half the screen, Firefox was the little engine that couldn't, and xScope was amazing, but only accessed mobile sites.
