[Q] Bigpart + Cyanogenmod 11 No Data Service - Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just installed Cyanogenmod 11 on my Xoom Stingray 4G. The Xoom is running great, but I have no data service. After setting up the new partition , I tried installing OmniRom and Cyanogenmod 10.1 and EOS4. With EOS4 I had 3G service, but no 4G. With everything else, I have had no service at all. What am I missing? I had perfectly functional 4G before the change, but on a barely operational tablet.

Radio Help, Por favor...
Update to that last post... I've had a very stable Omnirom and Cyanogenmod 11 running on my Xoom Stingray, but have never been able to get 4G/LTE to operate. I've done just about all of the reading up on flashing radios and such that I can handle, but I still can't figure out what I need to do. Is there someone who is familiar with Bigpart Roms that can give me some insight? Does a radio just need to be flashed in recovery? Why did I get 3G with EOS4 but nothing else?

You need to flash the 3/4g radios http://goo.im/devs/teameos/radios/imm76l-radios-update.zip. Note that this will prevent Stingray builds 94 (I think that is the last one) and below from connecting to the 3/4g radios.
Edit:
Ack, almost forgot, you need to use the current version of Rogue recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1235170 to flash them as well since most of the other recoveries won't flash them correctly.
Nice
That did it. Thanks

Help: suddenly lost 4G

Hi. I am unlocked and rooted. Running custom CWM recovery. Was on Paranoid ROM and now on CM10 nightly. It was running smoothly. some time yesterday afternoon: lost data for a while. Thought it was the Paranoid ROM. So wiped and installed CM 10 fresh yesterday night.
Now no matter what I try I get only 3G mostly or 1x. Tried speedtest: 90kbps download speeds. Not sure what is going on. Can someone please help. Tried google search and came up with nothing specific..thanks in advance.

Wingray on Verizon Xoom 3G

have a Xoom Wifi only with Team Eos 2.39.4 running (wingray) using TWRP recovery. I did a full backup on this Xoom and copied it to a newly rooted Xoom Verizon 3G running 3.2 honeycomb (stock).
Any reason why I might be sticking in loop on Verizon device. I was under the impression that Wingray versions worked on this if you wanted wifi only?
Something else I might be missing?
forgot to clear or format the system, but was able to get it to work.

[Q] Turning a 4G Xoom to a Wifi Xoom

I have a 4G LTE Xoom that was on Verizon. I recently upgraded (now I have a Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition), and my parents are buying my Xoom for use around the house on Wifi.
My question is: Can I just flash a Wifi Rom? Or will that mess up other things? Also, can/should I remove the LTE SIM card?
I know prior to BigPart, you could flash Wingray roms and get the what you're trying to achieve, but I did read that someone else tried that with the BigPart roms and got a whole slew of FCs that made the tablet unusable. I've currently suspended my tablet line through Big Red and I simply took my SIM card out. I get a warning any time I reboot about mobile data not working until a valid SIM card is installed, but if you ignore that, it functions perfectly otherwise.

I'll be honest: I haven't flashed a new ROM to my Xoom in a long time. It's currently running EOS Nightly 197 (Android 4.2.2) I had to look up what BigPart is, but I haven't installed anything like that. Would it be better if I do install Bigpart, and a Bigpart ROM? I think they can deal with pressing a "no SIM card" message on startup, but even on my current ROM, it's pretty laggy and slows down. Are Bigpart ROMs any better, or should I downgrade back to Honeycomb or something?

If your parents are like mine (read: not particularly tech-savvy), I'd probably just go back to stock JB. As much as I love the features of 4.4.2, you can't beat the stability and smoothness of 4.1.2 on this now-three-year-old tablet.

[Q] Flashed CM11 on sprint S5 and lost wireless network/data

Hi,
I am rooted using the TWRP kltespr version. I flashed CM11 4-07 nightly and at first lost the ability to make calls but still had LTE data (go online, get email). After a reboot I lost both completely. Can't make calls and can't get data. I have done a complete wipe and clean installs of a few nightly versions. They all install without errors but I still can't get connected to my network. I have done several factory resets. Under mobile network data is enabled, I have tried "prefered network type" set to LTE, Global and 3G. Still no network.
Any help/suggestions getting my network connection back will be appreciated,
thank you
Search for how to fix your APN. I would say to upgrade your version too, the latest build from October does not have this problem anymore I believe.
Just about every AOSP rom is bssed on CM 11 now if your using offical CM 11 rom. I have flased several official. yhey yo spell out KLTESPR. but I chsnged the updater script no problem
