I've recently rooted my Wi-Fi xoom and have attempted to flash some custom roms. I've tried cm10 and multiple eos4 wingray nightlies. The issue I'm having is no matter what Rom I flash it won't boot past the initial boot up logo. It boots past the Motorola logo and then just spins on the custom Rom logo. Whether that be the cm or the eos4 logo. I'm using twrp 2.3.6 for recovery. I've tried flashing both from an sdcard and the xoom's internal memory, same result either way. Any help would be appreciated.

It's a bootloop, mate. Have you wiped data and cache?

I had wiped both the dalvik cache and cache with no success prior to paying this question. Based on your recommendation I wiped everything and it worked. No bootloop now. Thanks a bunch!

Well i have been using the cm7 nightlies with no problem. Today i decided to flash the RC1 since im sick of having to flash everyday. So i flashed the rom with rom manager and my phone was stuck in a boot loop.
So i had to do a battery pull and then restore the rom i had just backed up. After restoring i reboot the phone and am stuck in a boot loop again. I did another battery pull did a full data wipe, wiped cache and dalvik cache. And reinstalled the nightly 41 and am no longer in a boot loop.
So i tried to install RC1 again and everything was fine after flashing rom and gapps. i thought everything was fine so i rebooted into recovery to flash the 1.2.2 BFS Netarchy kernel. Before flashing i wiped cache, and dalvik cache. And of course now im stuck into a boot loop again. Has anyone else experienced this problem? i believe i am doing everything right. This is the first time i have ever experienced this problem.

try flashing the kernel without wiping the dalvik or cache.
personal, i dont use or recommend using rom manager, as it creates issues of its own. i download everything myself and flash in recovery without rom managers aid.
I'm trying that now. Thanks for the quick reply. I have even tried installing the rom without using rom manager and it still did the same thing to me. Hopefully this works.
So I tried to install Android Revolution HD 9.0 today, and after installation, I got stuck in a boot loop. Then I tried factory resets and cache partion wipes and multiple reinstalls and now it automatically boots into recovery.
Prior, I had a stock ROM, but it was rooted, but I was plagued with issuse such as random reboots and half the time on reboot, it would be stuck in a boot loop.
Can anyone help me out here?
I'm still fairly new to android modding beyond following instructions for installing CWM/Custom ROMs, so take that into consideration.
Factory reset or wipe phone in CWM and flash a new stock rom via Odin .

Done and done. Thanks for the help!
So I decided to flash CM 10.2, following all the directions exactly. Got it to boot up once and now I can't get the "Bootloader unlocked screen."
I have tried wiping data, system, caches. Reinstalled CM 10.2 three times now. Still nothing.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Which recovery are you using?

Pushed TWRP instead of CMW recovery and formatted, reinstalled and got it to boot. Someone else recommended getting SU app on before restarting. Second restart also took ~5 min but it did boot. All going smooth now.
Hi. Yesterday I succesdfully rooted my n8020 (galaxy note 10.1 LTE Swedish). Tho, when I tried to flash Sbiddens modded CM version, it failed. I wiped data/facto ry reset from CWM, wiped cache and Dalvik. Flashed CM and Gapps. Rebooted, only to get stuck at the blue-ring Cyanogenmod boot screen. Tried to redo all the steps in different orders, no succcess. Stillvstuck at boot.
Then came the puzzling part. I downloaded the original firmware from sammobile.com, and flashed it via Odin. It succeeded, bit whenbit booted in back to the standard rom, all my applications and all the data was intact! As I sevetal times wiped data/factory reset, I assumed thatevwrything would be gonw and that I'd have to install everythingnfrom scratch. Am I correct in assuming this, and may this be related to CM getting stuck at boot? Any hel greatly appreciated!

I have seen something similar when I installed Cyanogenmod on a kindle fire, I had to do a factory reset after restoring back to stock firmware.
I would suggest that you try doing a factory reset after restoring factory firmware on your GNote.
Success with Philz recovery
Had the same problem loading onto my N8020.
In the end I used a different recovery and it worked first go.
Try using Phils recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2202714
Hi there,
I was running CM 12.1 very smooth on my XT897 4G with f2f filesystem on cache about half a year. After rebooting I was stuck in a bootloop. The phone freezes during bootlogo and reboots again. Wiping Dalvik and reflashed CM 12.1 leads to no success. So I successfully flashed
asanti_c_sprint-user-4.1.2-9.8.2Q-122_XT897_FFW-5-6-release-keys-cid9.xml
Via RSD 6.1.6. But the same error appears, the only difference is the bootlogo.
TWRP can't mount the partitions I tried every possible version of it. I'm able to flash fastboot and enter recovery.
Is there anything I can do to get my loved modded phone back? :crying:
I have the same issue what did you do to resolve it?
if iam right u need a backup zip and load it via the recovery.
if u not have your own try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2532620
did you try to reflash a cm rom?
