BBC official app received an update to version 1.3 today, enabling support for tablets and Android 4.0. Sadly this free app is available only for UK users. Someone in UK please post the apk file for v1.3.

I'm in the US and can download version 1.3 on my phone but not tablet. When i side loaded onto the TF it's not optimized for tablet. Does not work in landscape only portrait.

Very cool. So this works well? I'm surprised they don't also filter app connections by IP like their streaming website content sometimes does.

I downloaded this and installed it. I like the layout. And it has lots of good articles, and some have videos that download and play in your movie apps (yay dice).

I tried v1.3 of the mobile phone version as well as v1.0 of the tablet version on my Toshiba Thrive 7" tablet (1280 x 800 display).
I like the tablet format of the latter but find that is has many fewer news categories than that of the phone version. That's kind of odd. I find that I end up using the phone version on my tablet the most in order to get the additional news categories.
Is there a newer version of the tablet apk that offers the same set of news categories as can be found with v1.3 of the phone apk?

Prince of Persia Classic - Needs Xperia PLAY Support

Just came acrosee this. Its a remake of the original 1989 Prince of Persian but with updated graphics. Its 2.99 and from the looks of it no Xperia PLAY Support.
I have emailed Ubisoft and asked about adding Xperia PLAY Support. If you are interested in this game I would strongly recommend you email them as well.

The link you posted didnt seem to work, I hope they do add button support. Prince of persia was hard enogh back in the day, I imagine it would be near impossible with touch screen controls.

Dang it, somehow I missed that there was already a thread. I am about to buy the game now to determine if its optimized....

Weird the free version says its not compatible with my phone

Actually, now I don't see free version in Google Play, only paid stays .

Okey, it is optimized in menu etc. but there is no option to hide controls so I think it is "no-planned" optimize - just for pads like PS3 or something - that's why Play's DPad working. Also Menu and Circle button are for start/stop, so except visible virtual-pads on screen - it's really like for XPlay (but we can move all buttons in one place and we voilla!). And no lags etc. waiting for Rayman Legends by Ubisoft - hope this one will be similiar to PoP ^^.

The free version is back in the market. However, it crashes everytime the app verifies some files.

I was reading some posts in GPlay and some people says that is XPlay optimized, but the on screen controls can't be hiden...
I think that is very good idea to try this game!

The game works perfect you can all buy it without any problems, 0 lags , im runing GB nxt 1.3, the only "problem" is the screen controls cant be hideen but you can put them all together in the bot right corner..

Sorry for necroing these threads but it looks like the game is not available on the XPlay anymore.

The game is 50% off right now. What was the final veredict? Good controls? Does it run well?

It runs well and controls are good, but onsceen buttons won't hide, that's all .

Was there a particular reason to make this an Android app, instead of desktop? Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love that you've made this -- I really need an app like this -- but it just seems like an unnecessary hurdle to transfer images to a device to resize, then back to the desktop. I could be overlooking something though.

Seems like the kind of app a developer and/or designer might want to have on his Desktop, doubt anyone would want to resize images on an Android device itself.

Hi,
Thanks for your post , the last version is using compressed textures and has some optimizations but it also uses 2 fbos for reflections
maybe thats why it takes more ram. can you please be more specific about ram?

Need Galaxy S4 tester

recently i added Daydream to this LWP.
But it crashes to Galaxy S4 , and Galaxy tab.
Galaxy tab fixed.
I Believe it is an OpenGl config issue , so i changed some things in code.

When game becomes unresponsive:
- you see Unity loader? or
- you load menu and after that game becomes unresponsive? or
- you select game level and it becomes unresponsive when loading indicator appears.
I found similar issues for unity 4.6 on unity forums (same device as yours, unresponsive when game loads; issue for unity 4.6 was fixed in patch).
P.S. Did you try it on other android devices (if you have)?
P.S.S Main issue when moving to Unity 5 was requirement for NEON extensions. Seems your device supports them.
