Are There Any Secure/Hardened Roms or Kernels For I337M - Security Discussion

Hi,
Im looking for a secure/hardened rom or kernel for the galaxy s4, specifically the i337m. I scoured google and found tons of roms/kernels that were hardened or had security enhancements for the nexus devices but nothing for the s4. Im a complete noob when it comes to compiling a rom, or all that advanced material. I tried Guardian Rom for my device but after flashing with cwm i booted and the blue circle with cyanogenmod in the center spun untill my battery died. It did have to edit the update script because i was getting the "assert failed getprop( ro.product.device )" error so i assumed the rom was not compatible for my version of the s4.
I know there is Anidroid kernel for nexus devices, Guardian Rom with the alpha builds for the Nexus devices, and a few others. In paticular Im looking for a rom/kernel hardened with grsecurity patches, but anything would be fine. My main goal that i kinda given up on is to get Guardian Rom beta build to work for the i337m if anybody has any insctuction on how to get it working then it would be greatly appreciated. I will probably have to settle with a hardened kernel or rom, if there even is any for the i337m.
Thanks

[Q] Aosp and Kernel

I am building an aosp ROM for the galaxy player 5.0 as an independent study at my school. I have the stock kernel for it that I extracted out of an odin image and I was wondering, do I have to build aosp around the kernel because I heard aosp kernels aren't good with the drivers and I need every function to work. I have found many tutorials for aosp and I am not going to use Googles since I can't understand that as much as other ones on the internet. Can someone enlighten me on the subject so I'm not going to fail, its due by january and I am still on the fence about whether I can do this. I just need some guidance and not to have somebody do it for me.

T-Mobile S3 Source

Hey all, I am trying to start a ROM from scratch for the T-Mobile variant Galaxy S3. Trying to set up my repos and tree so I can compile a custom samsung T-Mo ROM based on the current OTA update (4.3). Any help or point in the right direction to get these repo's out would be great. I've seen a couple more people trying to do the same and I would really like to get away from dsixda's Kitchen (no offense )

have you checked out cm's repo for the tmo s3? that's probably where you'll find the meat of the repo.

I don't think samsung released source for their touchwiz roms. If you really want to build from source and don't mind AOSP then may I suggest looking at omnirom? If you can get that ported over and running that would be amazing.

[Q] CM11 OC Kernel development in progress???

Hi all. I know the CM11 ROM is relatively new and all, but according to what I could find and my knowledge of over clock kernals on the HTC ONE X (AT&T-Evita), there is only two recent ones....? I tried both, seems one is for Sense based ROM's only and the other is JB (4.3). I loved the ElementalX, but recently stepped up to this KitKat build (which isn't supported by ElementalX Kernal) and am spoiled now. Not wanting to back up in version ROM's to achieve CPU/GPU OC, but the reason I even began getting into customizing these Androids was for overclocking purposes to see the max potential of these!! Just wanting to know if there are any OC Kernels in progress. Please and thank you!
I think you're a bit confused. If you're looking in our Android Development section for 4.4 kernels you're looking in the wrong place, you'll only find Sense kernels (like Elemental) there. Have you searched our Original Android Development section? That's where you'll find aosp ROMs, and of course the kernels that are compatible with them. There are already 4.4 kernels available.
Sent from my Evita
All I've found is basic custom kernels for options and different software configurations. I've done so much searching my hairs turning gray!! Lol. I do have Root, S-Off, SuperCID, and now TWRP SeLinux for these 4.4 ROMs all thanks to you guys!
Anyway you could possibly send a link to a specific thread where I can find these kernels you speak of? Preferably the most popular and stable one...
BTW...awesome site! 5.4 million members for a reason!
Just read your signature and seen the "Torched KK Kernel" Trying it now. Thank you!!

[Q/A] Anyone Know of Any Up-To-Date Roms?

Hey guys, I've been searching for ROMS that are for the SM-G925P (I have found some but they're not being maintained anymore). There is a specific one I'm looking for, which goes by the following guidelines:
Deodexed for Xposed (Systemless)
Debloated
Multi-User Support
Using Android 6.0.1
Works with a SM-G925P
That's pretty much what I'm looking for in a ROM.. the only one that's pretty close is Renegade HD, but like I said, its not being maintained anymore
I'd say your best bet is AlexisROM, so far its quite good for me, twisted kernel is also great for Android OS drains (If you do get them with this rom which I use to). I dont think most of the good 6.0.1 Roms are being maintained anymore as theyre getting ready for Android N, they're all quite stable though.
Does that rom run on the SM-G925P? I'm really curious since the last time I tried flashing firmware that wasn't compatible with my phone, it COMPLETELY bricked my phone. Even to the point I couldn't get it repaired. I got lucky the fact that it died and decided to start up again.

Android Samsung ROM development

Hi guys,
This is probably a question for those who have some experience in building ROMs for Samsung devices. I have a Samsung Galaxy Core Prime LTE (SM-G360F) an tried to build a cm12.1 ROM. I was kinda successful - flashed without trouble with the build CM recovery, but it didn't want to boot. I got an error saying "Kernel is not SEAndroid: enforcing" (I was using the open source kernel form Samsung), so I looked through the stock ROM to look if there are some files that may be helpful, but didn't really find anything. Those of you who have worked with Samsung ROMs: is there anything additional that has to be done to the ROM so it can boot? Some kernel files or does it have to be signed somehow?
