P.M Carl or myself for a link when the build is up.

I've just download this ROM. Will provide feedback once flashed and setup.

I've been using this ROM for 12 hrs, excellent battery life and fluidness. The ROM is very smooth and fast. Phone, WiFi, BT and GPS all work and connects fast. Boots under 30 secs, very nice fullscreen boot animation. I've tested all of the settings options and experienced no FC's or random reboot. I've installed PA Gapps, Viper Mod and Xposed framework (with several modules including Xblast and Gravity Box), which have all worked without incident. I've also added build pro tweaks for speed using Android Tweaker Pro, but I am unsure if they made a big difference because the ROM was already fast without them. Thank you for all of the hard work put into the ROM. You have a new fan!!!

Glad to hear, how the OTA app working for you? Not sure if you're running the build that has it since I just added it a couple of days ago.

The OTA appears to be functioning. The file is not available to download at this time.

I tried your ROM out. Its def fast smooth. Has all the availability to customize pretty much everything you would like to with out making the build so large or modified that it becomes bulky or laggy.

The only reason I went back to my daily driver was the white SMS and phone apk. I used several dark themes and still couldn't get the inverted look im going for. If you could show me how to change that or upload a couple apk's I would like to run for more than a couple days.

Miui rom

I just have to say I am using the newest miui nightly build. It is absolutely amazing I can't get enough of it. It I highly suggest everyone gives it a try.

Same here!
Any issues?
I remember loving miui on my HTC Evo
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
I used to love to flirt with miui back in my galaxy S running gigerbread but it could never be my daily driver. It would constantly loose data connection, no app drawer so all the apps had to be listed in your home screens and no way to sort them alphabetically automatically... just couldnt do it.
Have all those issues been resolved?

don't know about data loss, i float back and forth between 3g and 4g seeing as i'm in a ****ty area, but there's still no app drawer and no way to sort automatically (at least no way to sort that i've seen, but no app drawer for sure)
Are the same issues present as in the CM10 builds? I am assuming they are.
Can't wait for it to mature a little bit more before trying it out. I am a getting a little too old to flash new roms!

I hope this isn't a dumb question but why would one want to use miui if they weren't going to use the miui launcher? Does the is bringing other things to the table?
Sorry haven't really used miui much.

There are tons of features in MIUI besides the launcher, I'd suggest you take a look at http://en.miui.com/
Just off the top of my head, things MIUI has that no other rom can match - theming, backup/restore, contacts/sms/dialer, speed, the music player, toggles etc.
I used to swear by MIUI when I had my Evo 4G, by far the most unique and best rom on Android, it replaces so many apps you need to install. I just hope it becomes stable for ICS/JB soon.

So far I'm finding this miui ROM has better 4g data capabilities than any cm ROM that I've tried. I've tested numerous ROMs in an area that has shifting 3/4g and this miui build has the same 4g strength as my Beans tw ROM.

Yes please do tell..... the rom for data switching that I've tested so far has been LiquidSmooth which I'm still using because it gives me waaaaaayyyyy better service than any TW rom. I would love to know which MIUI rom that y'all are using that has such good data switching because the ones ive used are OK but no where near as good as Liquid.

Not sure if that has changed. However, I just created a folder, put all of my less used apps in there then dragged it to the launcher. Voila, app drawer. kind of.
The thread has been locked. Hope it was for a positive reason but there was a bit of non productive postings. Regardless, I've been using it as a daily driver with lightflow to control the LED. Great ROM.

Theres a few minor issues but not enough to keep me away. Lightflow fixes the led issue and some have experienced a power button issue. But no spontaneous reboot or things like that. Data signal is what really rocks.

[APP][ROOT]Change system animations [FRAMEWORK TOOL]

Yup guys you can change your system animations:thumbup: via this app u am not the developer I just support this app and would like to share this one with you guys
Description:
This app will make Theming your phone as easy as tapping on a button. The concept is easy:
You tap the MOD you want, and Framework Tool will apply it for you. Currently there are about 40 functions, such as animations, dialogs, backgrounds and other aspects of your phones or tablets system, but it is in beta state, and more will be added in the next hours, days, weeks, months. Now it is your turn! Take control of your phone and make it fit to your mood and style, use hot features as the possibility to use your own backgrounds (in the Settings application as an example) for the system (3.0+), with just a few taps, and no computer required! This application needs ROOT ACCESS and R/W on /system ! This App can now run on versions below 4.0, BUT all modifications are designed for Android 4.0, so they may not work as intended on versions below that!
Warning: Framework Tool does change framework files which may not be compatible on some ROMs or devices. Always make a backup before installing and use at your own risk.
Here's the Link

Please press thanks if I helped you

Well I don't think the Gnex is a mid end device... And the only change I made is activity switching to ios sliding.

Bad luck then try applying animations again or instead try a reboot I have always used it on a fresh flash so it was never the case for me
I advice you to use it on a new flash...
You can also set the speed for animations using Framework Tool, in case you they are to slow for you. On start screen open menu and then you will see.
Thanks for yor responses guys.
I don't mean the animation is slow, I mean it takes a lot of time (3 or 4 seconds) to start the animation. Once started, it goes smooth.
This happens only sometimes. I'm trying to figure if this issue is ROM related (pa 3.1). I'm going back to aokp and try again.
Thanks!!

Technically, android waits for the app you touched to draw the first image, then animates to it.
Another thing: You are on Android 4.2 right? Then the changes Framework Tool applies to the framework (in the aspect of app start animation) are "ignored".
The only impact on performance is if you change the "standard background", if it is very high-res, if will definatly have an impact on performance.
Sincerely,
Janis Elfert (dev of Framework Tool)
PS: As always, if you like my app, make sure to rate it!

If you haven't already, leave a nice rating at the Play Store. It would be very nice, cause it's rating will jump to 4.00 then !

[Q] KK ROMs: restarting UI

Hello,
I have this issue with pretty much any 4.4 ROM for Nexus S out there - system UI is restarting. For example I use Facebook Messenger to chat with me friend, then I switch back to Nova Launcher to go into GMail… and the phone freezes for 20 seconds. After that freeze, the screen goes black and after another few seconds it gets me to the lockscreen. So I unlock the phone and what I see? Everything is booting up like I've just rebooted the phone. This also happens alot when I try to pull out notifications list.
This happens with every 4.4 ROM I've tried at least 4 times a day, so it's pretty annoying. I did a bit of research and I don't see anybody else having this sort of issue, so my question is - has anybody had this issue with 4.4? If so, what was the solution? I really love using KitKat because it's smoother than older Android versions, but this breaks the overall experience so much…
Thanks alot for your time!
What are the ROMs that you have used?
Did you do a clean install (including manual format /system partition)?
I've tried KitKang, SlimKat, MoKee and right now I am testing out C-RoM, which is pretty good feature-wise and speed-wise, except it does the same thing like other 4.4 ROMs. I always do clean installs (including manual formats).
its due to cm's new theme engine. revert to an older version of a rom that uses the previous version and see how things go.

also fixed the wallpaper issue
add more bootanimation - including the one i think you wanted @chuckiev79
added boot sounds but something is off so i removed it - this appears to be different than on other devices i worked on so bear with me
unless any of you know off hand how to add boot sounds specifically for the relay, as in it works when you do it?
anyway, ill look into it all next week,
happy flashing!
Well the sound didn't work for me either. Actually the thundercats carbon bootanimation bootlooped my relay. Currently using the xda bootanimation. If you get the sound thing figured out let me know. I have been trying to figure out sound with boot animation since my sammy epic.

Sorry, been a bit lazy and have made the gifs for you all to see the options
But its quick and easy to just flash it (like you would any ROM from recovery) and then it will bring you to the aroma ui, from there just pick to backup current bootanimation. Then try some out and worse case scenario you just restore the back up you made.
But if I find the free time I'll make some gifs for you all to see

Sure, but I just checked the link and it appears to be working
Thanks so much for this demkantor - works great (although the thundercats bootanimation still sends me to bootloop).
One question - could this app be extended to include the possibility to change the splash screen too? I am loving my omnitoad rom but not a fan of the teamapexq green android splash screen.
Thanks!
Really? I thought I fixed that... I'll check when I get a min
As for the splash screen I have made aroma packages in the past to changes these but for different devices, the way they are set up on this phone makes it impossible as they aren't a separate partition rather in the kernel so a new kernel would need to be flashed
good, next please with freddi cruger

I tried it, just for a while. It's good and nice like all the actual LP roms.
In my opinion: is to early to get a choice for a rom, all is about in the same level.
Wait for a future and thanks always all the ville's devs and builders!!!

New build is up!!
hi,
I'm using this rom now since the first build and for me it's the best lollipop rom so far. I used the first version (20.01.) until now and I didn't have a single random reboot or fc (except for the calculator). camera is working fine, calls are working and the rom is working pretty smooth in my opinion. Only the battery drainage is a bit higher. Before I flashed this rom I was using LS, Resurrection and Candy5 and on every rom I had at least one problem (for example swiping on keyboard, camera, calls....). I flashed a new rom every 2-3 days and now it's the first time is stayed on one rom for longer. For me, and I don't use my phone very heavily, just for calls and texting and a bit browsing, it's almost perfect
Thanks for building this rom!
New build is up!!
Install was super smooth. No problems or delays.. Once apps loaded up I did get some gallery & music FCS. I'd say its possibly from a automatic Google app restore and duplicate apps. Aside from that stable as ****.
I had a lot of lockup and power button issues on 4.4.4. Nothing like that right now.. The only thing I'd personally like to see would be a dark ui. Even as stands dd for sure..
Is internal storage accessible? I'm not seeing it in root explorer.

Wanted to clarify on my storage problem post.
I can access my internal storage *large partition*. I'm not used to the internal mounting process, switch from my s2 to this. I was always able to see 2 different sdcard partitions in root explorer on the s2..

On cyanogenmod 12 also doesent work. Any ideas what can be wrong with my device?
Currently on the newest PAC rom, even ROMs prior to this still lollipop, when you open the camera app only for a split second does the video record app display.. If you miss the icon, restart the app and look to the left. I just did a vid record and playback was fine. Us today app also works with video playback when it hasnt worked before..
Open can, look to left.. Its quick then gone
